STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY received the most votes and he is Rossoneri Blog reader’s Player of the Season.
The current season is not even over in all European leagues but the Milan management and the Rossoneri fans are already looking forward to the next season in which they hope to achieve more than the third place in the Serie A.
We had asked you who was the best Milan player in the 2012/2013 season and thousands of people voted over the last couple of weeks on RossoneriBlog.com and they selected Stephan El Shaarawy as their Player of the Season.
Stephan El Shaarawy, 20, who finished as Milan’s Top Scorer with 16 Serie A goals, got the most votes with 43.97% of the people voting for the Italian national team player. In second place there is Riccardo Montolivo, 28, with 31.32% of the votes; Monty had a great debut season with Milan and for most of the games, he was the only creative player in the midfield.
Mario Balotelli, 22, only joined Milan in January but managed to finish the season in double figures and win the hearts of the Milan fans; Balo got 7.62% of the votes. Many people thought Milan’s best men wasn’t a player, but the Rossoneri coach – Massimiliano Allegri, 45, – who got 4.93% of the votes. Christian Abbiati, 35, had a very impressive season and 3.4% of the people voted for him. Defender Philippe Mexes, 31, scored the best goal and the most important goal for Milan and got 2.89% of the votes. Mattia De Sciglio, 20, got 2.53% of the votes, while Giampaolo Pazzini, 28, collected 2.04% of the votes.
Some people, 1.3% of the voters to be exact, voted Other and there were some random answers there including Samir Handanovic, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bakaye Traoré, Daniele Bonera and of course Dai Dai Dai!
