ADRIANO GALLIANI has spoken about the transfer market, saying Milan are interested in Torres and Van Ginkel.
The last days of the transfer market are known in Italy as ‘Galliani Zone’ as the Vice President likes striking deals in late August. This year is no different and the Rossoneri are trying to get a striker and a midfielder before the mercato ends.
Milan sold Mario Balotelli to Liverpool for €20m and the last days have been all about finding a replacement and today it was announced that Fernando Torres, Roberto Soldado, Fabio Borini and Konstantinos Mitroglou have made the final cut.
Zaccheroni: “Honda will do well this year, he can lead others”
Torres, Borini, Soldado and Mitroglou on Milan’s shortlist
“The transfer market? We’re entering the final hours, let’s see if we’re able to buy a great striker. This is the main aim,” Galliani said this evening. “Torres? He is definitely a great striker, let’s see if we’re able to get him or another player. Marco Van Ginkel? It’s possible, we’ve written our offer to Chelsea and we’re waiting for a response. We’re quite confident.”
According to Milannews.it, Van Ginkel is interested in joining Milan but Mourinho is inclined to keeping him and will have the final say. Galliani will hope to complete the transfers before Milan take on Lazio on August 31st. “The team? I noted a really good atmosphere. Winning the TIM Trophy was good for self-confidence. Inzaghi? He’s really motivated, he has an intense desire and calls me continuously. He’s more than focused. Barbara Berlusconi? The relationship between us is excellent.”
Inzaghi, who according to Galliani “calls me every 15 minutes, day and night”, will try to get a win on Sunday and it’s believed that he’ll use Jeremy Menez as a false 9 at San Siro with Keisuke Honda and Stephan El Shaarawy on the flanks.

Such a disappointment! Can’t say I wasn’t prepared for it. F you Galliani!
I would just like to say that most probably Berlusconi is the one we should thank for our transfer policy in the last years. And Galiani is the one who does his dirty work…
I hope and pray for win on Sunday
Now tht Menez is going to be used as false 9 dnt be suprised if we dnt get a striker. Galliani old tricks are not working, they worked well when we were still on top bt now, no, they dnt. Torres? Like most ppl who were a fan of Torres, I spent a lot of time thinking Torres can easily get back to his best but as I watched the guy I realised his days are gone, I mean gone. He completely lost touch. If Galliani saw Matri as a better choice than Tevez its easy for him to see… Read more »
Galliani didnt want matri, it was All- he who should not be named. galliani promised him that if he beats psv then he would get a gift, so he did and wanted matri even if tevez was a better option
Did he really say Torres is a great striker? I wonder how he kept a straight face doing that…oh wait, I’m sure it’s the same face he had on when he went and got Matri last year.
torres a great striker????? hmmmmm no comment!
even this whole borini issue …if galliani was very wise he should hv added him as part of the ballotelli deal
Torres was a great striker years ago which is when milan should of bought him but as usual we get the former greats when there all washed up, we’r nothing more than a retirement home but instead of paying to stay with us we pay you a small fortune for somewhere to ease into your old age, absolute bullshit signing, every club in the world must ring us when there finished with there players to get rid of them, if I was de Jong, el Shaarawy, de shiglio or any other good player I’d be on the phone to my… Read more »
Disaster! Once again the old guy, senile and totally out touch, makes a remark like that – destroying our beloved club………and smiles while doing so!!!!!
Torres ?? Come on, its embarrasing!
Men this Galliani guy is big problem for milan.his days as a transfer guru are gone, now d big question is milan ready to spend? Well to me d answer is no or what do u think guyz.
Borini, 23 years old, (8.5M) and van Ginkel, 21 years old, (9m) and I feel good about the team.
Torres is horrible.
Europe dumpster right over milan, bring your menez, matri alex traore essien anyone you don’t need galliani is willing to buy, this guy buys top clubs wannabes just to fill his mouth saying he is quality really? what did matri accomplished? boateng? bihno? balotelli?
Man utd just bought di maria for 75 million and here we r strugglingto asigna decent sstriker on loan lmao Omg. What was the point of selling balo if we can’tbuy anybod. I’m hearing everybody is too expensive but we just sold balotelli for20m and saved 4m in his wages. Why can’t we afford to spend 20 on someone good
we are not saving 4m we are saving 8m 4m is after taxes
yeah and kaka and robinho´s wages too.
maaa vai a cagareeeee vecchio di meeerdaaaa
Torres will suprise many of u guyz if he join…#just saying
I saw his Torres last game for chelsea he has some good elements but his too slow and his passing was poor and his decisions was wrong, but I will hope he will prove me wrong if we get him. Although i´d rather see someone who has´nt reached his peak yet. and will make his football name with milan.
In the last two weeks Milan has been link with so many players both Top, Average and very low player but none has not being signed, less than 5 days for transfer window to be closed. I don’t why Milanista believes that B & G will sign one good player. I don’t why we forget so soon how much we were deceived during last season’s transfer market before Galliani went for matri and other junks players. I even remembered vividly when Mr G said acmilan will sign quality players if we qualify for UCL which we did, but we only… Read more »
I hope we dont get any of the 4 strikers that we have been linked with recently because this is the major problem with our club we bring these players who are not good enough and then we are stuck with them for the next 3-5 years.Even if we get torres and he is good for this season so what you think he is the long term answer i say hell NOOOO.I dont want anymore of these bad players taking spots away from our promising young players something its addition by subtraction.Like always FORZA MILAN
I would be happy with Torres. I know he can do well
Galliani just did the ice bucket challenge – I think it froze some of his brain cells! Torres is a great striker? WTF has he done at Chelsea? Only thing he did was collect the paycheck, I never seen him show up to play. But now he will miraculously start scoring in each game and take Milan to the promise land – wow, stupid, stupid management. I really hope someone comes in and buys this team and quickly, Bunga has lost it and doesn’t care any more. Only person who cares is Barbara but she was shut down by Berlusconi… Read more »
Deep down I think we all knew we wouldn’t be signing anyone unless there free, useless or washed up or indeed all three, Berlusconi swans around milan like a god hopping out of his helicopter for Galiani and inzagi to kiss his ass, Inzagi has said in every interview “the club know who I want” does he think we’r stupid enough to believe that he wrote down Torres and E’to and any other useless player they try to get? Berlusconi, Galiani and Inzagi are complete liers and inzagi is 100% gutless I loved him as a player but you’d be… Read more »
Reading your comment just brought me to the realization that Galliani and Berlusconi took very big advantage of the FFP rule and try to use it as an excuse for not spending big anymore, claiming they can’t spend outside the clubs pocket and we fans must understand that the club is broke and they must always balance the books.. Bull Craaaaap I say and that is why Berlusconi easily doesn’t spend anymore. Galliani still said this the other day, I remember vividly. If this is the way forward, then I think someone needs to kidnap B&G and the ransom should… Read more »
As far as I’m concerned, milan has done nothing to warrant a resurgence in serie A. I’m sure we haven’t seen the end of Galliani’s trickery just yet. How it stands, however, we are simply not good enough. The players from our “shortlist” will not help.
If Van Ginkel’s move depends solely on Mourinho, then it’s highly probable that he won’t be coming to Milan. Mourinho takes the rivalry thing too seriously and because of his ties with Inter Milan, I doubt very much that he would want to give us a player that will help us. He’ll rather give us another Essien…
Torres is very good…I dont like Borini ..
Mamma mia !!!
Why not Pendev? After all he won’t be missing open goal chances like Torres
i can just laugh i really hope he keeps his Word but not torres who has lost his will to play and definetly not borini
I keep having this dream about the next few years. This season SES is back with a vengeance 18 goals and 11 assists. Meanwhile in Liverpool Ballotelli learns to channel his anger and goes full hulk mode…25 goals 13 assists Man U buys SES for 35 mil Madrid buys Ballotelli for 65 mil. Milan signs Torres permanently Next season Balotelli teaches Niang the Mohawk way, Niang goes off…and sold. Milan signs E’too
Season three MDS…and sold. Milan sign Ashley cole (free). Season 4. The great mastour arrives…and sold. Milan bring back Pirlo and he leads us back to Serie B
lmao
Why not bringing Pato back?
If we wind up 12th in the table it’s not Inzaghi’s fault.
“You either die a hero or live long enough to see ur self become the villain”
Harvey Dent (Batman Dark Knight)
B&G OUT!!!
This quote makes so much sense with the current situation at Milan.
Money isn’t always the answer
Look at man Utd they spent millions of pound on good players and then lost 4-0 to MK DONS!!!!!!
Torres? Mmm wtf!… Falcao is the answer!
Best option is to call back pentagna from loan….
Galli and berlu just want Milan back to UCL, they not think Milan must win the league so still give us a second or third grade player. I hope inzaghi can doing well this season, he’s having a lot of preassure with limited source, and i hope the squad can give the fans a great game too. FORZA MILAN
I say don’t get Fernando Torres but get Erick Torres he is young and a good talent
In a space of three days we have moved from being linked to Jackson Martinez & Destro to Torres & Borini…..thanks a lot B&G. Jux bring back Petagna from loan and spare us the drama already.
The only solution is the fans should”BOYCOTT” all Milan matches as a protest a against the management
You know… I still don’t understand why the fans there in Italy and even those who travel all the way from other European countries to see the matches can’t simply do this. It baffles me, this is the only way the management and the whole world can see and understand the pains the fans have endured for the past 7 years, but I know it won’t happen, Some so called Curva Sud who are clueless always find a way to negotiate with Galliani.. Sickening.
IMO, selling Mario, especially at that price, was insane, but whats done is done…at this point, all I know is the following: 1. Falcao or Martinez (whom we clearly can’t afford), and to a lesser extent Destro, would be the only signings who “might” make us better than we would have been with Mario. 2. I’m a die hard Milanista, but I will admit, the only other club (because of Zola, Sheva, Ancelotti) I secretly admire is Chelsea (forgive my blasphemy). I’ve watched Torres closely, his problems are all mental, and strictly limited to his finishing ability. Other than that,… Read more »
i didnt know milan was so serious about lestienne some repirts this morning suggests that Lestienne wil arrive in Milan in the next two days for a medical and apoan move
oh well saw that coming.
this management is far from preparing for the future nor do they try get good players for this season
they are sooo lost
well my advice to them is bring all the young players and whats left of the good ones. may be next year you hv a prepared team by giving more playing time to the young ones
we have been saving for 4-5 seasons. where did all the money go?
the problem are the milanista Italy they are doing nothing… Watching our beloved club die!!! What a shame. They should PROTEST!
I think Torres could actually do well
milan s death maldini said they have destroy my beautiful milan which s right
am in gambia bt everthing my friends always mock me an I fell bad abt it ACMILAN suit be a better team G an B stop making us sad or less I wil never 4give u guys MILAN 4 EVER
let the boycott begin!!!
FORZAMILAN!
Berlusconi has lost it. Let him sell the club whether part or whole to the Emir of Qatar that is interested, or he should allow Babara to get rid of mr Galliani and get a younger, experience administrator.
Torres is actually good when he is on form
