Berlusconi: “Seedorf decision at the end of the season”

32

SILVIO BERLUSCONI doesn’t think he will sell and says that the future of Seedorf will be set at the end of the month.

Milan have done exceptionally well over the past 7 games, winning 18 points out of possible 21, but the future of Seedorf is still uncertain and as the days go by it becomes clearer that the uncertainly doesn’t derive from the team’s performances.

Seedorf arrived in January after Max Allegri had been sacked and he has a contract for two more additional years, worth €2.5 million a season. Dorf has claimed that there aren’t any problems for him at Milan but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

Sacking Seedorf will be yet another sign Milan has lost the plot (by dejan10)

“Seedorf has two years left of his contract with us, but the decision about his future will be taken after the season is over,” President Silvio Berlusconi is quoted as saying by the Italian media on Thursday. Filippo Inzaghi, Luciano Spalletti, Roberto Donadoni and even Vincenzo Montella are the candidates to replace Seedorf with Pippo and Spalletti in pole position.

According to Milannews.it, Inzaghi and Adriano Galliani will meet next week to discuss the future of Filippo. The former striker is unlikely to continue as the coach of the Primavera after two years (his side lost yesterday to Udinese 3-1 and their season has officially ended) and Galliani could offer him the role of the first-team coach at Milan. Inzaghi has always been Galliani’s choice. Spalletti and Donadoni are a lot more accessible than Montella, who has a €7 million buy-out clause.

Berlusconi continued: “I don’t think that I will sell Milan even though it’s difficult to compete in Europe because of the Arabs and their wealth. I’m referring to clubs like PSG, whose owners have unlimited wealth.” Silvio is worth around $9.1 billion.

I think having 9.1 Billion dollar (Silvio’s Wealth) is having unlimited wealth mister Berlusconi.

Sell the club and out for Galliani
And buy some great players our team looks like a serie D Team

Henriano

I think seedorf will not escape the axe after the season ends, not because he has not brought result but because of some self centered persons at the management who have lost true love for milan.

Ted

“I’m referring to clubs like PSG, whose owners have unlimited wealth.” said a guy who sits on 5th place just behind Abramovic, in Forbes top most richest people in football

Only because you don’t want to spend Mr. Berlusconi, even though you have more money than many of the top clubs’ owners. Well,I am hoping that his summer Milan will manage to sell Abate, Matri, Robinho, Nocerino, and Mexes/Zapata in order to fund an “OKAY” summer Mercato, along with selling some of the players taking up space and wages like Birsa, Zaccardo, Amelia, and Muntari/Essien. Being able to keep Rami, Taarabt, and Poli will be a good start. Adding a young GK, a LB and 2 more CBs would make it “OKAY”. Later any RW and CM additions would be welcome… Read more »

If seedorf stays i think his first recruitment would be Biabiany, remember how that deal fell part because our good old Galliani failed to finalize it before the deadline and wouldnt cough up the cash, THOUGH does this biabiany guy even get games at parma,is he good, perhaps something like taarabt, anyone?? someone??

justin

He is OP on fifa

Its simple Berlusconi Invest or Sell the club you dirt… We need to get rid of Montolivo and replace him with Juan Fernando Quintero and replace Abbiati with either Scuffet or Perin + a good defender like M.Rojo or Bocchetti and buy Rami and Taarabt

Pa ibra

with all the garbage in the squad, your best midfielder is the first you want to replace. well done!

Sherbini

Montolivo??????!!!!!! Are you kidding????

Pa ibra

i’m hearing that gallianis choice inzaghi has lost to udinese and that his sides season is over? with our mighty youngsters we all feel are ready for first team football? well i respect inzaghi alot and cant really judge him as a coach but i’m interested to know what exactly he can offer that seedorf is not effering.

wondering what sort of off-field issue can overturn seedorfs on-field performance in such a way to have his job at risk. berlusconi you are the second must disappointing feller in milan.

yourBoss

The off field issue culd be that Dorf is datin Galliani’s daughter n Barbara both together lol

Pa ibra

oh well his job could be worth being at risk then :)

There is nothing to discuss, they hire a coach with no experience, and Clarence has done great, it’s just another joke in the circus that has been going on with the management the last couple of years. Clarence has more charisma and personality than all of the candidates, although lacks experience, but it will come. His tactics has reminded me about Carletto recently. Pippo has always been a favourite, but let Clarence work on what he has done pretty great so far, I believe we can go places with Clarence as our coach. Spalletti isn’t a world class coach, neither… Read more »

SEDORF IS Staying ..All fans wants it .. and Sedorf has the right to keep his contract anyways .. FORZA SEDORF FORZA MILAN!!

GALIANI OUT !

Cowmagnet

1) Milan management don’t care what the fans want, if that isn’t blatantly obvious by now.

2)Silvio will come up with the money to buy Seedorf out of his contract before he’ll find some for the taarabt/rami deals.

I certainly hope you’re right, but I have seen zero evidence suggesting either of these two points are incorrect.

ELLO

THE best coaches are always Defensive or Centre midfields .. SEdorf is another Guardiola ,Ancelotti or Diego Simeone ..

Aimar

Keep Clarence, fire Galliani, bring in Maldini in his position, sell Balotelli, Robinho, Matri, Birsa, Muntari, Essien, Constant, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Abate and Amelia and buy some good players like Cerci, Doria, Marchetti or Scuffet, Dede, Muriel, Di Maria… (not all of them of course)

Forza Milan!

Milanzah

Sorrows fill my heart when i read these things ……willing to sack dof and keep galliani whilst your daughter has even notice where the problem is
forza milan forza dof

Getting rid of Seedorf after 6 months just shows Milan has no plans for the future. Every decision they make are foolish and destructive to the club. But that’s what usually happens when you have idiots at the top of any organization. They clearly don’t know what they are doing. No vision and plan. Just emotional decisions like a woman that can’t decide what dress to wear to a funeral.

Chelsea owner net worth – 5billion psg and Monaco owners net worth-2billion milans cheap presidents net worth-9.1billion… They have the unlimited wealth whole we struggle to spend 10 million on rami and taarabt lmaoo

Micah

We shall see.

dejan10

Well I guess 9 billion’s not much when you have to spend 2 billion a year on lawyers and hookers.

RKaY

So the man finally speaks, and he can’t even confirm seedorf for next season. What a joke.

Phildadon86

Im really starting to see this team as another favourite team of mine. I dont know if any of you guys watch American Football. But AC Milan is starting to very closely resemble the Dallas Cowboys. The owner/gm will do anything to stay in the media, no matter the cost. Its like they dont care about winning only about their profit margins. The difference is in soccer people will stop going if the team isnt winning. In american football that never happens. I think we as fans need to boycott games and jersey purchases to wake these people up. Thats… Read more »

And a very good opinion at that my friend… The only way the fans can be heard is by not buying tickets and going for games, but is this possible???

The hardest time to be a Milan fan… may God deliver us from these evils called BnG

millllaaann

We need to stand by Seedorf. If he goes, it will be extremely hard for me to keep supporting milan as I do now. I will always love this club but the decisions being made by management are just ridiculous to me. Seedorf needs to be involved in the summer transfer window. He knows what this team needs. He’s been learning the players and getting the most out of a very average squad. If we bring in some other coach, I get the feeling Galliani will just bring in more garbage transfers and this club will never grow. I don’t… Read more »

There is no point inchanging managers as we arent gonna get the qualify players which real Madrid, bayern have…. We cant ever match…. We have started living on the rejected players of these big clubs… The main problem lies in the berlu and fester…. if they dont change themselves no one can change milan neither donadoni not spaletti here if we bring back anceloti or cappelo nothing would change because neither players are that good nor the management…. The best person working good in such hard conditions is seedorf…. So there should not be any point to sack him…. More… Read more »

In my opinion, and I hope this true, but maybe B&G are purposely putting pressure on Seedorf so he will perform better and gain experience faster. Look what happened when the rumors started flying, we won 6 out of 7 games. You gain the most experience from the hardest situations and I honestly don’t think B&G would be that stupid to sack a coach whose done more in half a season than the previous coach did in the past 3 years. Then again nothing would suprise me with this club anymore.

greg

if you’re not willing to pay 7m to keep Rami at Milan then it’s time to realise you’re holding the club hostage
