PABLO ARMERO rejected offers from the Premier League in favour of a Milan move.
Armero will come to the city of Milano on Monday to have a medical and sign the contract with the Rossoneri ahead of his switch from Udinese to Milan. The wingback will join Milan on loan but there won’t be any a buy-out clause in the deal.
Inzaghi: “Lopez will improve our squad, Taarabt? We’ll see…”
Lopez agrees personal terms with Milan, set to join
“We are all very happy. Pablo is really enthusiastic about this great chance,” the agent of Armero, Luciano Ramalho – who met Galliani yesterday to discuss personal terms – told Tuttomercatoweb.com. “We finalised everything yesterday. Adriano Galliani is a pragmatic man and doesn’t like to waste time, so we quickly reached an agreement that suited everyone. Now Pablo is happy.
“If the bad Napoli adventure is behind us? Yes, definitely. We can only thank Napoli for a good experience, but Pablo has a new experience to live now. If there were other offers on the plate? There were offers from the English market, but we chose Milan. What we expect from this new adventure at Milan? We expect a new path at a big club, so must now focus on working hard and hoping to continue the fine performances seen at the World Cup (Armero played with Zapata at Colombia).”
The speedy left-footed player, who turns 28 in November, is a replacement for Kevin Constant who joined Trabzonspor. Meanwhile Tuttosport reports that Filippo Inzaghi would rather see Philippe Mexes leave than Cristian Zapata.

Antonio candreva or alessio cerci for rw.Wat u think guys….
“If the bad Napoli adventure is behind us?
what does that mean?
It means he had a bad adventure in Napels.
I’ve got a feeling that this is another desperate bad signing.hhhmmm
offloading constant was an oppotunity to get a quality LB and have that one sorted… but instead upgrade constant, and a year time upgrade armero too. these little upgradings are the reason we are stucked.
lopez is wonderful addition, lets wait to see if its same armero at 2014 world cup. fonza milan
Come on guys, he is way better than constant and urby
So much negativity on this blog (which is understandable given our performances this preseason), but in truth we are slowly making progress. Lopez is a great signing, Armero, Menez, Alex, Rami, Poli, and keeping Niang are all practical decisions. Signing Agazzi was probably our worst move. We still need to offload Essien, Zaccardo, and possibly Mexes, and I demand that we sign Taraabt. I have recordings of at least 3 matches from last season where he was clearly the best player on the pitch. My last two concerns are that we hold on to De Jong as Man U are… Read more »
I think that hiring Agazzi was sort of Galliani’s games to use him to negotiate some players. I am pretty sure that he knows that he is not what we are looking for, but he want to use him specially that many clubs asked for his signature and he costed nothing even his salary was not paid yet.
yes i thought so. but he wasnt impressive during pre season. so it would off the market
Roma get Ashley Cole (I know he’s older but still one of the best left backs in the world) and we get Armaro! He’s just a tiny bit better than constant
Enough said
Like I said in the previous post, Taarabt was impressive in his loan spell – yes, but will he help improve the quality of our squad? No. Menez is better than him to be honest, plus that Menez has pace to aid his game. Cerci is the way to go, as he’ll help improve the quality of our squad, he’ll be an instant starter next to El Shaa and Balo. We’ve made 20 million euros according to Sportmediaset from our player departures, and hopefully with Didac, Zaccardo and possibly Essien leaving, we’ll have more so we can spend on Cerci.… Read more »
No we need Taarabt hes better than Menez.
Cerci and Dzemaili will be a great end to this mercato……especially while selling Essien, Zaccardo, Agazzi, and Mexes.
Dzemaili had 18 starts and 6 as a sub in CM role scoring/creating 8 goals. And avg 89% passing accuracy he’ll be a good addition.
Pablo Armero is a great signing we are wayy better. This coming season ashley cole is off why do you think Chelsea didnt give him a new contract being one of theyre legends the guy is done
@nas, everyone please read his post and tell me you hypocrites on this blog would not be furious if we got Ashely cole. You would all say “Galliani and his free transfers!” “Youth movement!?!? Ashley cole is old and washed up!!” Seriously, think about what you people say, you contradict yourselves too much.
Bravo, I wanted to say the exact same thing.
Always spot on brother.
I am worried that Inzaghi won’t change his strategy. I didn’t see any significant and continuous pressure football during pre season games. Do you really think that Milan will conquer the world again with your soft-strategy-and-similar-to-Allegri’s tactic and formation, Inzaghi? Wake up, man! Milan have lost their winning spirit and great teamwork for the last 5 seasons. Thanks to a clueless coach Allegri.
I agree with pippo . Mexes leave , Zapata stay
@rkay I appreciate your comment and it’s fair enough but Ashley Cole played games last year for Chelsea that he was the best player on the pitch and there’s a huge difference in signing a player that can STILL play and signing a clapped out Michael Essien, the point I was trying to make is that we need quality defenders badly probably more so than any other position on the pitch and Ashley Cole is certainly that and has been arguably the best left back of his generation and still is in the top 4/5 of world foot ball and… Read more »
please Milan should sign tarrabt.. ..or candreva
Cerci and Dzemaili would be two goog signing to have a squad like this in 4-3-3 formation:
Lopez/Abbiati/Gabriel
Abate/De Sciglio – Rami/Bonera – Alex/Zapata – Armero/Albertazzi
Poli/Cristante – De Jong/Cristante – Dzemaili/Saponara/Muntari
Cerci/Niang/Honda – Balotelli/Pazzini – El Shaarawy/Menez
No Montolivo? (We know he’s injured but he’s still crucial) would love to see Ganso, Cerci or Taraabt or Giovinco or Bonaventura
Montolivo was’t put here, because of his injury. In term of quality he is still one of the best midfielder and very important in Milan squad.
Taraabt will be where u get most bang for the buck.
I Want Dos santos or Joel campbell and Dzemaili then we sell Mexes,Agazzi And Essien. We get a good CB after selling Mexes for back-up
this whole transfer thing is not going well with me. what are this players still doing in the team
essien
muntari
zaccardo
mexes
azzagi
galliani get rid of all of them a a better milan!
Sorry guys, but I don’t like Montolivo. He is overrated.
@Nas you clearly dont know Armero
