MATTIA DE SCIGLIO was hit in the collision with Gabriel but has said things are improving.
Milan take on Chivas Guadalajara this night (kickoff is at 3.00 am CET) and they will be without De Sciglio who got injured in the match against Liverpool, which the Rossoneri lost 2-0, after getting tackled by his own keeper Gabriel.
“These things happen in football. There was a long ball over the top and I was racing back and our goalkeeper came out quickly to claim the ball. He collided with me very strongly and it was a hard hit,” De Sciglio told the Milan Channel. “I underwent a scan and nothing serious was reported & the outcome was that I’ll be sidelined for two weeks and then I should be fit to get back playing. I have had a look at the video a few times and I’ve to say it was a pretty hard collision.

“However, things are improving and I am feeling better with each passing day so that is the important thing. This a big year for us and we all have the desire to do well. We really want to bounce back from what was not a great season last year. We only have to concentrate on the league this season so we have all week to prepare in training and get into good shape for the weekend match. This tournament we have been on has not been that positive in terms of the results we have achieved.
“But having said that in the Liverpool match we were very solid, we were compact in all areas of the pitch and we tried to impose our own style of play on the game. We followed what the coach wanted. I think we can have a good season ahead.”
Glad it’s only two weeks… hope he will be fit for the Lazio game. If Armero arrives, he is an improvement to Constant (not that it’s something hard to achieve) but he isn’t better than neither De Sci nor Abate. I still think that both should be our respective full backs.
