Zvonimir Boban has officially left Milan after falling out with CEO Ivan Gazidis; he is expected to go back to FIFA.
The farewell was obvious and only the official announcement was missing: Boban-Milan – the end credits arrived after less than a year; the Croatian fell out with CEO Ivan Gazidis, who has the full support of owners Elliott, and is now a former Milan director.
The statement on the Diavolo website on Saturday evening reads:
“Milan confirms that it has informed Zvonimir Boban of the termination of his contract as Chief Football Officer of the Club with immediate effect. The Club thanks Zvonimir for his service to the Club over the past nine months, and wishes him all the best for his future professional career.
“The Club will keep supporting Stefano Pioli and his first team in all areas and is optimistic looking ahead to the remaining games of the 2020 season. The Club’s ambition remains to return to the top tier of European Football, while investing responsibly in the team in compliance with UEFA Financial Fair Play.
“Ivan Gazidis, CEO of Milan, said: ‘We thank Zvone for his efforts over the past nine months and wish him well in his future endeavors. We must now turn our attention to football and the important games to come. Stefano Pioli and his staff are doing an exceptional job growing the performances of the team every week and will have our full support as they continue this work, in what is a difficult time for the country’.”

Boban gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport last week, suggesting that there are ‘two souls’ at Milan and that Gazidis went behind the backs of Zvone and Paolo Maldini, and contacted Ralf Rangnick for the dual role of a coach-director. Boban is expected to return to working at FIFA.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Maldini and Frederic Massara. They are likely to leave in the summer. Over the past two days, only Gazidis came to watch the team in training.

Sad day for ac milan fans …
Elliot want to make ac milan a feeder club
Pathetic
I hope maldini hands in his resignation so that he has no part in this
yeah cause AC Milan atm are playing better football than Leipzig.
Last season Milan would’ve crushed Leipzig.
delusional much?!
Are we pulling a Giampaolo again? Now Ragnick is the new messias? Some never learn…
Exactly. A coach with zero experience in Italian football would lift Milan to the top? So what has Rangnick ever won? Nothing really. Just another one season coach coming… Year Zero all over again next year too.
Don’t even get me started with the Mane Werner and all those who he brought to…..
Complete bullshit. It’s like we praise Mihajlovic for the success of Donnarumma, surely he had the balls to play a 16 YO kid ahead a CL winner but Donnarumma is the one who eats trains and behaves like a pro.
Ragnick is a gamble, and the reason is because Elliot doesn’t want to spend, so, a top coach is out of the question
Leipzig have spent years developing their squad
We’ve started again with another year 0
At lwast 5 years needed to develop a quality young squad
I swear to god if anyone compares us to Leipzig again …
Milan’s way of using people is disgusting. I love the team, but I wouldn’t buy a shirt while Elliot owns the club
Yeah. The club has been destroyed from the inside. Gazidis as the main architect.
I’m disappointed with how this was handled but as much I respect and admire Boban as a person and former player he was wrong for making such a public statement about Gazidis contacting Ralf Rangnick.
Certain affairs needs to be address behind close doors and directly with Gazidis.
Only the one who loves you greater than his pay master will take the risk to tell you the true situation of things.
We the fans would have been bt Gazidis if we didn’t have a Boban in the house to let us know that our boss is doing something else and telling us something else. Would you have preferred someone who plays to the gallery to the one who wants things to be done the way they should? I think the hero here is Boban and he will remain in our hearts.
no, he caused drama and left. Riola now will fully use this situation to force Donnarumma away. The wiser choice, if you really are a normal director, is to not cause any fuss push your ideas as much as possible and if you want you can leave during summer when the season ends.
And if he is a pleaser and a puppet of the ownership then he would be criticized too
Gazidis didn’t kill someone. He “maybe” is negotiating to replace our directors. It’s normal to find a replacement before replacing someone. If Ralf became or new boss, it means Maldini and Boban are done. So he is their direct replacement. So what gazidis should have done? Going to Maldini and say: Look I may have found a better replacement for you so lets go and negotiate with the person who will replace you? Again. I think the whole year zero thing is wrong but I also saw what can he (Ralf) do in two or three years. So we should… Read more »
@Müratx….Totally agree.
Why if we cannot pay for players (Correa for example) We can pay the salaries of coaches? They receive more money at home that working at MIlan. This is completely ridiculous. You can see it from a business perspective but this is a sport. The message is clear, no more world class players to Milan, we are just going to be a midtable feeder club with aspirations of Europe. You can say all the objective shit you want, but at the end of the day, it’s feelings that drives those one the field. Why did Ronaldo pick Juve? The ovation… Read more »
RIP Milan indeed. No top player will ever come to Milan – especially with a salary cap of 2M€. Why is it that Gazidis get 4M€ and all he does is say “no” to all the quality players Maldini & Boban tried to buy. Gazidis was supposed to be good in getting the finances better yet Milan made a record loss last season and Gazidid has managed to negotiate a new deal with Emirates that almost halves the money received! Sounds like a great deal, eh. Gazidis has already failed miserably and the longer he stays the more damage he… Read more »
With the salary of gazidis we could have payed Correa and Olmo
Ralf is better than Maldini ? Milan is 7 time champions league winner ! What did he win at Leipzig ? WTF is this shit thinking ? Milan can’t wait 10 years to come back in business ! Milan is not leipzig ! We need Maldini, not rangnick and gazidis !
Did he won 7 UCL as director? Are all UCL winners, born directors? So why we fired Inzaghi as a coach? He won so many trophies!
You get judge based on your results. Last year we were 5. This year we are 7. It’s a downgrade and MALDINI is responsible for it.
You should take pills :)
Yeah maybe. I’m the one who fired Rino with the best results in last few years. Oh wait! It was Maldini who made him resign. It’s funny how you are defending a legend but not seeing the pattern. Gattuso got us to one point off UCL and Maldini and Co made him resign to start a year zero! Now they are facing the same shit.
you clearly haven’t been here for a while but let me say this.
If there is one man who can represent Milan is Maldini. No one is bigger than Milan, but he surely is the most important man if the institution.
Yes he fucked up, I’ve been one of the few criticts over here, but keep destroying won’t help a all.
Precisely is the same Rino situation again.
Pathetic indeed! Another patriot is made to leave because of too much power in the wrong hand. I can only pray for the Elliot project to succeed because of my love for Milan otherwise I would have loved Boban and Maldini to have the last laugh. I have slight hope that the Rangnit policy might be big hit at Milan.
Agreed. Except that I pray that a new owner is found ASAP and rescues the club from any further damage Gazidis is about to cause.
Gazidis is a cancer !
I used to think that Raiola is the cancer of football. Well, actually I still do but now he has a powerful ally: Gazidis.
AC Milan is dead, for now.. until Eldiot sell the club it’s RB Milan a feeder club, i’m not a supporter of this Red Bullsith Milan.. so long fellow Rossonerian..
Besides the fact that he was probably right about what he said, that’s what you get when you talking trash about your boss. In any company you get fired when you do this. There are more diplomatic ways to solve these problems or disagreements.
There is a chain of power in any company or organization. Right now, gaizidis is at the top so as wrong as it is to not consult your directors, he can negotiate without asking for their opinion or permission. The fact that Boban and Maldini are bigger names than their boss is causing such a problem.
True. Gazidis is a tyrant who doesn’t like his authority being questioned – even if were 100% justified.
Too bad that Gazidis is too convinced about his methods/ideas which will fail miserably and will totally destroy the club. Fans will never forgive him for selling Donnarumma in the summer for peanuts. Trust me, that will happen. He did similar things in Arsenal and will do it again in Milan.
Boban wasn’t fired because of what he said, he was fired because- like me- he thinks this Ragnarok business is a bad idea. That’s fair and all, except now we are stuck with mediocracy for god knows how long. Fuck Elliot and fuck Gaizides.
Do you have source for this claim ? Because in every news they said that he is fired because of the interview.
The source? He and Maldini stated that publicly in several occasions that Ragnick isn’t the right profile for Milan. They are in charge of determining the coach’s identity, plus Ragnick is reported to be given most responsibilities of Boban/Maldini. These two sides cannot co-exist, and so once the decision for Ragnick was made there was really no other way but to get rid of BobanMaldini. This is not a soap opera (I will give this at least to Elliot), this is pure business
I hope milan fans dont attands any milan maches until this mediocry owner to sell milan with the write owner like veitton arnault
Yep, we need to ban matches (at the very least) to show we don’t subscribe to this bs.
All right Boban, you talked garbage of Rino’s team, you tried to build yours and flopped, it’s not your fault that Giampaolo is such a dick. He trashed the team, using them as excuse to his incompetence. You and Maldini acted quick and replaced the man. Winter signings proved to be key for lifting morale and performances. I’m still disgusted that you talked so bad about a team who was a delight in comparison to YOUR Milan. But you left with your head high, while you didn’t acknowledge your guilt you surely let fans know what’s the bigger problem. You… Read more »
I still admire Boban but I agree he should have kept his mouth shut – at least until the end of the season. But then again… I respect him for telling how things really are. All we hear from Gazidis is BS. Nothing but lies. He doesn’t even bother to learn Italian.
Too bad things didn’t work out in Milan for Boban. At least they say he gets his old job back in FIFA so no harm done. And he still has the fans on his side.
Join the discussion… this is sad n horrible. i’m really disappointed in Ivan and the Elliot management. I salute Boban n I hope Paolo doesn’t leave cos that will be too much to take in.
Names aside, the fact is this club is being run by a bunch of incapable so called hot shot managers and their owners. This is 3rd different management in last three seasons and non of them, every each and one of them, were able to pick this club up. Every year we see managers, directors, coaches, players leave and instead of improving it only gets worse. It’s not a “year zero” this is a total blackout, a “decade zero”. Worst thing is, we finally have cash now. They spend, they buy but my god they waste!
Milan only have their fanbase and a bunch of dusty trophies, a project cannot be sustained when it’s not working because being honest to fans leads you to the exit door. Ask Seedorf, Gattuso and Boban.
What will happen if next season things don’t go as expected, what if we’re 13th on December and fans get pissed, are they going to keep paying severance packages? isn’t cheaper to let a man work? How could they be properly judged in months?
Yeah. The management prefers quiet puppets they can control. And if someone speaks the truth about the poor job management is doing they’re out faster than the referees are gifting Juventus a penalty kick or two.
well, i know gazidis is gonna be a problem when he refusing to hire Conte before
sweet baby jeebus, so many les midtables and nazidis fans around here. dirty harry taught me, “opinions are like assholes; everybody has one” but this is too much. boban said what he said months after rangnick-to-milan rumours started. the fact that he just said it recently means he cared about milan but he couldnt take nazidis unethical shenanigans anymore otherwise he could’ve said it when the rumour have just started had he just wanted to cause unwanted stir. why shouldnt boban speak up his mind? only cowards think they cant criticize their superior who is misbehaving. also, according to some… Read more »
MIlan played badly but Rino was top 3 the most winning coach in Serie A in 2019, got fired and was appointed as the replacement of Ancelloti. But Milan10 knows better than Napoli, sure.
pioli is also one of the best coaches of serie a in 2020. whats ur point? what matters most is where ur team actually is in the table. rino’s ppg is also fairly average, not better than miha. also, i read the news few weeks ago that napoli president expressed his regret for sacking ance
Yeah? Superb coach look 2-0 at home truly one of the best
yeah but he really is one of the best coaches of serie a in 2020 in terms of points gained (more than inter and roma), like ur rino in 2019 calendar year. but none of it matters because, like i said, the league doesnt start in early jan and end in late dec. any milan coach who doesnt use 4-4-2 or its variations is an idiot in my book, and that includes pioli.
Look, Milan10 let me give you a fact, last time we had a goal difference like we have right now we got a ticket to Serie B. Rino was 1 point of CL. Apples and oranges
naw mate, let me give YOU a fact; lazio already have more points now than they had whole season last year. milan rivals were severely underperforming last season and there’s no way rino’s milan could fight for top 4 finish vs the likes of atalanta, roma, inter, lazio this season.
Yet he did.
What?? I’m reading your comments thinking this guy must be high. Milan10 talking about the fact all the top teams were underperforming. “Yet he did” while all top teams were underperforming. THAT”s the point.
let him be mate. rino could be capt of titanic and les midtables would still hold hands with each other and him singing kumbaya together as the ship is sinking
Aw you’re just sore about Giampaolo and Pioli. You were singing pretty good, keep singing.
i sang “get conte” all season long last season but milan and milanisti were being so unmilan10 with their unmilan10 ideas and look where it got milan. like i said, just do what milan10 said, reasons can wait *wink
Milan didn’t win points because of Gattuso’s brilliant tactics. I’d say they won despite his tactics. It was all mental things. In order to build success you must have good tactics (too). You can only get so far with only positive atmosphere.
He wasn’t fired because what he said, rather because what he thinks. Plus, Ragnarok will make his and Maldini’s job redundant. Fuck Elliot, fuck Gaizides
correctamundo mate. fuvk eldiot, fuvk nazidis
Amen Milan10
Lots of wise words there. I think agree all of them.
We are indeed in a very sorry state. We keep on distroying our legends. How do we thinks the current players will respect MIlan shirt and play with all their hearts. Maldini is d player we should never allow to go now. We need him
Boban post firing interview made me think that maybe They are right to fire him. Exposing secrets that will destroy our current season (more) is something an unprofessional person do. Pioli has no motivation anymore. Most players too. You will see it on the pitch soon.
Yeah, facist think just like that, even he said it too… “I didn’t know we were in North Korea.”
Yes, Pioli was certain he will coach next season. Do you think Boban’s interview was the first time Pioli heard about Ragnick? Do you think we are more informed than him? C’mon man
Your thoughts seem to be interistas. Big thumb down to all your comments !
We need to know what is the truth and Boban had balls to show us risking his position ! Gazidis is a MF cancer ! Supporting Boban always !
omg pls gtfo with your nonsense. This is AC Milan, not an RB club? We have an identity which is clearly misused by Gazidis atm. Our legends are being mistreated when all they want is to club to get back to being champions – like You and me want. Gazidis locked Rangnick way back in december without informing the men in charge -Two respected legends – Maldini n Boban. Do your calculations. You expect a bold person to be just quiet knowing that he is gonna be fired by end of season. He was honest and let everyone know wtf… Read more »
When you start you conversation with gtfo shows how mature and respected you are. Please don’t comment under any of my comments until you learn to respect others.
You can change your name, but your opinion still lacks knwoledge
So you’re trying to be cool now? I wonder how long it will last
I don’t think this comment is for me. I’m commenting on my phone so if you are replaying me, please ad @ so I can understand the comments tree. It’s a very bad design on this website.
If I could thumbed down your comments, maybe I’ve never adressed you any words ! Because I want to share my oppinions with milanistas
You expect respect? Well Boban deserved some respect too.. So…
Who said he didn’t?
Pioli wasn’t certain but he is know! 10 years oF supporting oUR former legends got us here!
Yeah boban and maldini are doing a great job. Pioli is the one! We are title contender. I think we will win UCL next year because their undeniable wisdom!
DELUSIONAL!
its you who is delusional. You are delusional if you think Pioli and the players do not already know Rangnick is taking charge next season. You are delusional to think Rangnick will come to Milan and all of a sudden turn Milan into Serie A and Champions League conquerors. Do you think just because we adopt a youth policy, other clubs will sit still and allow us to pick the best young players? Every club will be fighting with us for the best talents. This is AC Milan even though we are crap right now there is still an expectation… Read more »
Maybe you should judge Rangnick by his track record which is far superior to all the coaches who have been at Milan since Allegri left. Smh. Sorry but Müratx is right. Milan have been too nostalgic choosing past players with NO experience in coaching and management. That’s a recipe for failure. Our season was already over after 7games because our directors (Maldini and Boban) foolishly chose Giampaolo knowing that they had to change formation and they were not able to get Giampaolo the players he needed to play his football. Maldini and Boban knew when they took the job that… Read more »
@nick my friend. I see your point. Experienced management is crucial for a base. But this will not work for a league like Serie A. Gazidis is going cheap and no experienced players with less salary cap. This youth project will work for the RB clubs, but Milan? Are you willing to wait for 5 years. Do you know how many youths RB Leipzig had to buy and sell to finally get where they are now? They had the time and they pulled it. And with this model, we let teams like Atalanta and Roma grow faster. Lazio, inter, juve,Napoli… Read more »
Thanks for describing it much better. It is a mess and we need a power figure like him. He is so charismatic that no players would have the balls to disagree. Similar to Gattuso but with more brain
So u agree on gazidis ! No real milanista can agree with gazidis !
It was of course Boban’s former teammate Paolo Maldini who coerced him to return the club. Il Capitano’s position is also precarious at best at Milan, as he is also reportedly close to getting the sack as well, or to put it more diplomatically “leave by mutual consent.” It was not supposed to be like this, was it? For those who still think, Rino wasn’t sacked… Should I pull a Milan10 and bring my comments of last season? I knew that BobanDini would be next, now who should leave too? Let’s say all Italian players, those are garbage, not being… Read more »
Curva sud this is the time to rise and create some chaos! We can’t let these American bankers ruin our club anymore.
I must praise Pioli on how he seems to deal with this, how he dealt with Fiorentina. Hes a true gentleman who is working hard for the team when its truly difficult. I can get Boban on this to. But they must get forward and become a modern club. If the Boban or Gazidis way is the best i dont know. I hope that they sort this out. If Gazidis doesn’t then he will never be forgotten
Hats off to Pioli. He’s done good work here. Not easy coaching such a sh*thole called AC Milan nowadays. You can ask Pippo, Brocchi, Seedorf, Miha, Montella, Gattuso, Giampaolo etc.
If the management is f***ed up, it will f*** up the whole team as well. As yesterday so well demonstrated.
Boban was totally wrong, in corporate culture you simply can’t go to press and blast off….if you had any issues or Gazidis did manage to take decisions on your back than mind it he is your boss and you are reporting to him…clear and simple and going to press is final nail in the coffin no matter what legend you are….coming to Gazidis I better hope his low cost buying and unearthing talent better works out because this is Italian football, fans are too passionate….with a club like milan where patience is low I hope it works out….Ralf Rangnick is… Read more »
Totally disagree, Milan is a football team. If avoiding debt and increasing profitability would give you throphies PSG would’ve won the CL.
Petro dollars have changed the dynamics of footballing world. No ucl for PSG but they are winning domestically…..but which part you disagree on?
Although i hope we win this afternoon, i really feel sorry for Pioli. Regardless of his performance he will not continue as coach. We keep talking about how good Gasperini is performing at Atalanta and Inzaghi at Lazio, both with average squads, but we forget another factor which is continuity. We cannot get success overnight and even an average coach with enough time will be able to improve our squad. At this point, I dont care whoever we get as coach because its certain management will not go for a top coach. But if we go for average coaches we… Read more »
so, because parma – spal was being delayed for > 1 hour (what for exactly? what difference does mere hours make?), beinsport is still broadcasting the match now when they should be broadcasting milan – genoa. goddammit figc
you can watch it on hesgoal if you are in the mood to watch a training match where we are allready down 0-1, atleast theres a link there. Not sure how long ill keep watching though as its rather weird hearing maybe 50 various people yelling now and then in an 80.000 stadium.
Fuck gazidis millions time, mother f…. Why should we suffer so much ! Fuck gazidis, he’s a fckin bitch !
In all fairness we cant really blame gazzidis for the empty stadium and frankly regardless of current events at the club i really dont think gazzidis should be blamed for us being down 0-2 today. When that is said fuck him and fuck em all bunch of amateures.
me and other milanisti feel ya mate
thanks mate but hesgoal, yallashoot etc are banned in my country. bein is finally broadcasting milan match though, starting at around min ‘38th. thanks anyway
Not sure whether this will get me in trouble but you could just download a vpn program that way you can position your computers ip adress wherever you want in the world.
thanks again mate. some of my friends have already done and suggested this and i didnt realize the importance until today because under normal circumstances, there are so many matches broadcasted (some are for free, on local or national tv) in my country
No problem. Im not using it currently on this pc but i did on my old one and thought it was of good use in some instances like region limited sites so its deffently a tool worthwhile having at hand. Thats nice they show some on local tv rarely does that where i live.
We are losing the game just because boban tried to show us that we have a son of a bitch as our AD ! Fuck gazidis millions time ! What grinta to have the team when they know there will be another coach in the summer, that our legends who brught them are humiliated and can’t support them and they feel unsafe. What to do pioli knowing he will be changed at the end of the season, how to motivate the team. Fu..kin son of a bitch, a cancer, we don’t need gazidis !
The season is lost since our last defeat.
Hakan again
Well im not saying it cant have an influence but pioli has been far too long in the game to not be aware thats how things sometimes goes and im sure he is a professional who wants to finish his work as good as possible before propably leaving the club. Same goes for players and that is also a minimum that can be expected from all parts involved. Am i against boban getting sacked ? yes. Do i think boban was well aware that he could risk getting sacked even after his north korea comment ? absolutely. You just doesnt… Read more »
Strange atmosphere indeed, and also strange halftime result. We had a decent amount of chances, including two 1-on-1’s, yet Genoa scored from their only chances (which were both from Theo’s side). We really need to wake up in the second half.
yh, feels likes a training match. i have this feeling this match has been fixed. Genoa needs to win to get out of the relegation zone and Milan is doing them a favour.
lol look at that bald fvck nazidis sitting alone in the stands. perfect metaphor for his leadership, just like the ending of godfather part 2
milan are down 2-0 and stupioli still wants to keep his stupid 4-2-3-1 intact instead of going back to winning way 4-4-2. seriously, why would u sub off the most potent goalscoring threat u have? i get it now; at milan, if ur bald like krillin then u must be stupid
Yeah it’s Pioli’s fault!!!!!
nope, its boban’s, like u said
Show me one game in recent weeks that we played like this!
vs atalanta, vs verona, 2nd half vs inter. pretty much every non-4-4-2 matches or 4-4-2 without #9 match
lol bonad10nho tried to pull a zidane at bordeaux. his shot was pretty accurate too
Bona seem motivated, maybe he knows that he must give his all for attracting a new club. Sad
he should definitely stay. his dribbling, passing and shooting are above avg. and most importantly, he respects the jersey
Exactly. And he’d definitely accept a paycut as well to stay. We need experienced players who will give everything to the shirt. He’s been poor this season but he hasn’t had support either. Nor minutes.
Give him an extension and if he continues to underperform you could always sell him. Far better option than letting him leave on free transfer in the summer.
correctamundo mate. milan need his experience, and he’s useful squad player who doesnt make a fuss when not playing unlike suso
Well hopefully they suspend this season indefinitely cause if your going to lose to Genoa You might as well not play lmao. The teams you’re supposed to beat to climb the ranking you go and bottle. What an absolute joke
I was thinking the same after yesterday’s match.
Leao is a total fvcking waste of money. Worst than Niang.
Once again another horrible game by Calhanoglu. If Rebić has a bad game so does Milan.
And some, like BaresisDream, have so much to say against low salaries.
Same old story. Some things never change. Is this the right time to remind us all that Cutrone was sold so that we could get this Leao kid? One of the best transfer deals since selling Zlatan.
whats with calabria – conti sub? why not play paqueta or saelemaekers instead so leao could play as st?
Pioli was defending our 2-1 loss. He didn’t want to concede anymore goals. Smh.
Paquetá should have come on for Çalhanoğlu at start of the 2nd half. I don’t even get why Calhanoglu plays ahead of Paquetá.
Paquetá plays better passes in tight spaces. He would have been better in this game.
correctamundo mate. i very much despise his pragmatic mentality. use 4-2-3-1 vs inter or juve so milan mf wouldnt get overrun, sure but no way milan should be pragmatic vs genoa. hell, pioli’s milan even always try to defend a goal lead instead of going for jugular killing off the match as if leading 1-0 is a precious and rare occurence that needs to be preserved like javan rhino
No Hakan no Bonaventura no ibrahimovic absolutely that three players are f#up
hakan was garbage but bona actually did fairly well, and ibra was the scorer so
Yeah. Actually Bona might have been the only Milan player on the pitch that had a decent match. Not great, not even good but pretty decent. Can’t say the same about any other.
Recent chaos, lack of motivation, no supporters and Pioli’s strange subs lead to this disaster.
If gazidis wants a revolution then he should do it now. At least the new coach and director would know which players to keep
The season is already over but I highly doubt Rangnick will want to start mid season with this much chaos.
So it’s most likely he will wait until the summer. Rangnick already knows which players he will not use and that’s majority of this team.
The only players that are capable playing Rangnick system are Bennacer, Theo Hernandez, Castellijo, Romagnoli, Gabbia, Krunić and possibly Paquetà.
Everyone else will be offloaded in my opinion.
what about me, bro? and my mates conti, kessie, leao and rebic?
You should go to Parma
did anyone see that supersave by supermaneuer? hotdamn. the ref is damn hot too hotdamn
Shit
@nick my friend. I see your point. Experienced management is crucial for a base. But this will not work for a league like Serie A. Gazidis is going cheap and no experienced players with less salary cap. This youth project will work for the RB clubs, but Milan? Are you willing to wait for 5 years. @ MilanEstonia. Gazidis is just following orders from Gordon Singer. Elliott Fund is a vulture fund. They do not intend to waste money on high salaries. That formula won’t work for them. Unfortunately, until Milan is sold to a wealthy owner we will have accept our faith with Elliott Fund. I believe that Maldini and Boban approach with a mixture of youth and experience is the right way to go forward. But Gattuso mentioned this and Maldini didn’t support him on it. However, Ralf Rangnick methods have worked in a short time with Hoffenheim, Schalke and RB Leipzig. It can… Read more »
From an economic perspective you’re right but why sell the best GK at his age. Do you know how many matches has he played at such a young age?
Selling Donna and it’s the final indication that Milan is destined to be a mid table team.
Nick mate, you make good points as usual. The problem is we can’t land players from weaker serie a sides (e.g. de paul) without being to compete with the salaries offered at Juve,Inter,Lazio, Rome, Fiorentina, ect … of course some sort of cap make sense, but the 2 million which was reported is way too harsh (Romag also is above that, and I’m sure more are).
If Elliot want to bring Ragnick AND spend big, I’ll be more than supportive. Unfortunately, like you say, this is most likely not the case.
Castillejo and Paquera were brought by Leonardo
lol romanista damiano tommasi, who’s now president of italian footballers association, demands suspension of serie a, precisely when lazio are fighting for scudetto. serie b, hell even primavera serie a are still going on u clown. why cant the rest of the matches be played in safe areas? u clowns didnt protest when supercoppa was held in arab. besides, which teams are gonna play in europe next season if serie a is suspended? very unfair
No way they are going to suspend Serie A, what about Juve and Napoli? That’s a lot of money to be lost.
well, it is officially suspended until april 3rd
