Mino Raiola answered back to the claims of Massimiliano Mirabelli, stating the DS is comfortable with the latest Gigio Donnarumma controversy as it takes the eyes off Milan’s technical project.
Donnarumma’s name is once again in the headlines and it’s his future at Milan and relationship with the Curva Sud that’s been keeping the Italian journalists busy.
The Rossoneri ultras booed Donnarumma during the Coppa Italia tie against Hellas Verona due to reports that he and his agent Mino Raiola are asking Milan to annul the new contract which was signed in the summer for the reason that Gigio was under ‘physiological pressure’ from the club when he put pen to paper in July.
After the match, Massimiliano Mirabelli addressed the press, making it no secret that in his eyes the man pulling the strings behind this media ‘theater’ is Raiola, who in addition to the Donnarumma brothers also represents Bonaventura and Abate. The player, meanwhile, today attended the Youth Sector Christmas party and soon afterwards came out on social media to deny reports that he submitted a letter to the Milan leadership which says he wasn’t serene when he signed the renewal.
“It was an ugly night that I didn’t expect!” Donnarumma wrote on his Instagram account this evening. “I never said, nor wrote, that I was on the end of moral violence when I signed the contract. Despite all of this, I look ahead with my mind on the next game… Forza Milan!”
After Gigio’s message (which hasn’t been deleted and attributed to a hacker this time), Raiola himself released a statement, answering to Mirabelli: “I took note of what Mirabelli said about me and against me. After all we are in a democratic country and he can say what he thinks… Mirabelli has a personal problem with me and uses Gigio Donnarumma to attack me.
“I won’t make a media circus out of it, nor do I want it to affect Gigio. I will reply to Mirabelli in the appropriate settings and at the right time. Gigio has nothing to do with this, he did nothing wrong, so it’s not right to use him in order to wage war on me. It is evident to everyone that the problem at Milan is not Gigio, let alone Antonio. Strangely, neither Mirabelli nor the club commented on the banner that appeared yesterday in the stadium. We never imposed that Milan had to sign Antonio. It was a technical choice made by Mirabelli, who now ought to at the very least defend it.

“I want to remind you that this summer there were economic and professional offers for Gigio that no player would’ve rejected. But Gigio and his family made their choice with the heart. And I respected that choice. What interests me now is that Gigio is left in peace, so he can do his best.
“That also ought to be the priority for the Milan director of sport. If that is not the case, then it ought to be priority of the Milan owners or whoever represents them. This controversy suits Mirabelli, because it takes attention away from the real Milan problem: his technical project.
“I have nothing against Milan, in fact I care for the club and wish it success. I want to remind you that I have four players in the first team and it is in my interests for my clients to achieve important results. It is important for Calcio that Milan become protagonists in Italy and on the international scene. Now Gattuso has arrived, someone I am fond of and have respect for, who I wish all the best.

“I read many false and absurd things that it’s pointless to even comment on or deny. I never spoke about contract issues in public and I won’t do it now. I have for some time established a channel of polite and professional communication with Fassone, who I also met with recently.
“If there were problems and if it was necessary, I would meet with Fassone and we’d seek solutions. That’s not just true for Gigio or Antonio, but for any other player of mine.”

Yeah right.
I just hate that fat pig and how he lies shamelessly.
I’m not surprised that Mino have just lied again. He quotes…. “Strangely, neither Mirabelli nor the club commented on the banner that appeared yesterday in the stadium. We never imposed that Milan had to sign Antonio. It was a technical choice made by Mirabelli, who now ought to at the very least defend it.”. First of all I may not be a fan of Mirabelli or Fassone who are no good football directors, but they are great communicators. And yes Fassone did comment on the banner of the curva sud. Fassone quotes “If Gigio wants to leave, he will have… Read more »
i took hippocratic oath written by hippocrates years ago. primum non nocere bitches
“Any other player of mine” that just sums up the sort of man he is
There not yours you just represent them
We will keep experiencing this type of issues as long he stays Donnarummas agent. I believe the player loves Milan and alongside his family want to stay, which makes it difficult for me to understand why he’s keeping an agent who’s seeking for the opposite. The fans are frustrated and cant do much in showing that apart from abusing him unfortunately. We must show abit of pride even if it means a less steady mind Donnarumma.
From his interviews Mirabelli never mentioned Raiola’s name,in his words “there’s some gentleman who’s trying to damage our club and we wont let him get away with it”.Even when he was asked if it was Raiola “Raiola?i dont know who orchestrated this confusion” so what the hell is this pig saying?guilty conscience? “This controversy suits Mirabelli well because it takes away attention from the real milan problem;his technical problem” mr man we’ve had two wins in a row and are playing our best football in a long while, why would this controversy suit him now?i actually thought u were smart, you’ve been… Read more »
Continuing from your reply to that Calabria contract extension article, (and I commend your courage by going through the past articles, you seem to have a lot of time on your hand) So, where in there I even talk about justifying his wage? Did I say, oh he is 18, but 18 is not too young to earn 6mil a year, or anything along that line? All I said was, as I was pissed off with all the too much for 18 yr old, too much for 18 yr old bickering, and then poked a witty nudge as to why… Read more »
I didnt have to go thru all the articles,i remembered the particular article, just had to type it on google.U seem to think that since he has been our most consistent performer on the field then its no problem if he earns that high even for an 18yr old.So my question is,why then is it a problem if he gets booed for poor performances off the field even for an 18yr old? P.S:U brought up the age card(and why are u replying me in different articles)
It is a problem, because if he gets booed at THIS time, in mid Dec, then his form might suffer, and when a goalkeeper suffers, we lose points. How many points do we want to lose? My question to you is, why can’t it wait till everything is clear (Donna denies ever saying such thing, Raiola denies the letter and pressure thing, management denies the letter thing) so if it was nothing, and just simple roumour that caused this disruption, then who is the fool here? We fans are. I did not say he should not be booed because he… Read more »
I hear u sir
Until he decide to leave, every milan fans should support Gigio
-plain & simple-
The fans supports Gigio. 6 million shows the evidence. it is his foul behaviour they can’t TOLERATE. Learn the different PatoShow.
some of us should reflect on their reaction, mino is the one create this stir, we act like donna already some legend that already betray us.. because of fan reaction towards him the management thinks he is invaluable asset thus spoil him..
I bet he’ll be gone in the summer as Milan will have to sell to balance the books. Homegrown and sold for cca 50 millions? Perfect match to balance our FFP situation
”I have nothing against Milan, in fact I care for the club and wish it success.”
Lol Mino cares about a football club lol.
When he said Milan, he has his wallet in mind.
Stop doing biz with raiola.
Raiola is a snake who has poisoned Gigio’s mind. And now donnarumma will dance to his tunes.
I think Donna’s gonna go sooner or later.
He has his heart set out somewhere else, but just doesn’t have the courage to say that openly. And it is his silence which is making matters worse.
Yeah you don’t want to make war with Gattuso you fat
I suspect Riola is trying to create instability at Milan, when now results are starting to come he pulls this stunt. He did the same when he saw Milan is buying good players. I believe there are forces behind he is working with. The option for Milan right now is to sell Dona, there are many good young goalkeepers out there.
Sell him, I’m tired of his crying but never comes out straight. Even his latest comment after the banner is not clear.
When a player keeps quiet then he has other things on his mind just like in d case with Neymar, sell this boy asap there are so many good goalies out there, if he were Messi or dembele then I would be worried about Milan loosing him
Dona is a snake. He is fully aware of what is happening at d moment. He is just letting mino take d blame. I love what d fans did. We need to let him know he is just a kid and b/f him dere was Milan and after him dere will still b Milan. If He can’t come out and say He wants to go then we should do d needful. Sell him for d right price. He is good but dere are many keepers out dere at his level.
My opinion remains that Gigio should not be attacked by Milan fans like they did at San Siro on Wednesday. This boy is not our problem to be honest because with Dida and Abbiatti who were no where as good as Gigio, Milan won GREAT and achieved GREAT hence, we need to ignore Mino completely and let Gigio focus on his game. If Gigio should let in a cheap goal now am sure some of us will not only blame Mino for starting this media circus but WE Milan fans for following suit by unleashing our anger on Gigio. Mino… Read more »
Uhm, just had to point out the whole Abbiati and Dida were nowhere near as good as Donna… Dida was arguably the best goalkeeper in the world during 2002-2007, – he had his blunders, which Donna has also has – but in a time with Casillas and Buffon at their peak and Dida matched them… I’d say the keeper that can compete with those two, currently is De Gea and probably Neuer. And Donna is not at their level just yet. Donna has the potential to be as good as or surpass them, but let’s not go overboard.
Dida had the best back 4 in d world in front of him yet he fumbled many times. U called him arguably one of the best? Have u forgotten a goalie called Schmeichel of United in his time?, Oliver Khan?, in fact he wasn’t as good as Buffon.
Take it or leave it, this kid is great and I repeat, He’s better than both Abbiati and Dida. Have u imagined what it would have been like if Gigio had Oddo-Nesta-Maldini-Jankuloski in front of him?
Well… I guess you are one of those who still underrate the kid.
One of the best between 2002-2007, Schmeichel left United in 99 and retired in 2003, he’s out of the equation, and yeah Kahn was a beast but during this period – 2002-2007 – it was Buffon and Casillas who caught all the rave – and Dida. I’m absolutely not underrating Donnarumma, he’s a special talent. And regarding the back line, Even a back line of Cafu-Nesta-Stam-Maldini got beaten at times, and then Dida had to come up with the goods and save the team, as he did multiple times – I acknowledged the fact that he did fumble at times,… Read more »
to be honest mate, Gigio has been a shadow of his former self from last two seasons. Dida was not a bad keeper i disagree with you on that. Also dont’ compare former defenders to those we have now; back then the entire squad was more organized so you cannot put blame on individual players when the entire squad still has to gel.
I agree with Jibola – Dida was never amazing like Buffon, Khan, Schmeichel, Nauer, De Gea – not even close. The team in from of him was amazing and therefore he won many games but he was not even best 10 – he was just average goalkeeper with top of the world team in front of him. Any goalie would have won with AC Milan in their prime.
Hey there Joe even though Dida won best keeper of the year Award i sort of agree as he often played rather shaky. In my time as a milanista i’ll argue the best keeper has beeen Rossi but in regard of Buffon, Khan, Schmeichel none of the mentioned players come close.
dida isnt the best keeper in the world?? only kids said this… wkwkwkwk…
2 trophy champion league, 1 world cup… he did so many reaction to save ball, good to anticipate penalty and all of you said he isnt the best keeper?? wake up kids…
when dida vs buffon at final champion league, you can see dida doing the right thing to read penalty kick… and you said he’s not the best keeper?? please stop playing football manager… kids always kids… wkwkwkwk
Hey guys I’ve seen in the news that Mourinho wants Ozil… and for that he has to sell one of his players…. which might be Henrikh Mkhitaryan, we should try him in January market!!!
The way Mata and Mkhtariyan has played lately…not sure I want them…
I hope we go for Pastore or Draxler!
Id prefer pastore AND draxler
Touché Mike, touché!
Pastore is good but has a lot of injuries in the last years.
Draxler is world class.
but I don’t know if Milan will be able to buy anyone because of FFP…
Hey there AC4M im pretty sure Mkhitaryan is in the stable of Raiola so personally i would skip such move as he is allready causing us enough issues. If legally possible i would go as far as to demand that every player that signs for the Club doesnt deal with Raiola and all other Clubs should follow that path as well.
didn’t know… better forget then….. no more business with that….
stfu gredy piggy!!! no money 4u this window, send Ibra to China or Pogba to Madrid if u want, i dont care nor believe any what u say even if u r the pope…
who told u is mkhitaryan dat will b up for sale it could b Mata or anybody in dat case to mi will prefer silva mkhitaryan is out of form he as not started for the past few matches now
Nobody cares what this fat pig has to say. Everyone knows him for what he stands for. Whether or not he kept his s” hole of a mouth shut or not does not make any difference to anyone. At the end only Gigio can decide, and I am afraid to say he will follow his agent. The best for Milan is to put an end to this soap opera ASAP for the well being of the team… the sooner the better as I am sure it causes major distraction for the squad. Hope the Diavolo heart still beats strong. Forza… Read more »
Raiola is a joke he’s trying to stir the pot and make him look innocent and we’re the ones attacking him after he made the trouble with the media. Heard reports that donnarumma’s parents had it out with raiola and wants him gone. Apparently why gigio is hesitant is cause he has a great relationship with his brother Enzo. So you’re gonna let this pig screw with your head and parents just so he can make a quick buck? Simple. #gigiomollalo
