Filippo Inzaghi wanted a left-back reinforcement even before the De Sciglio injury but it looks like it can become a priority now with Atletico’s Guilherme Siqueira in pole position.
De Sciglio is going to be out for about 6 weeks or even more with his foot injury and the Rossoneri are looking for someone to replace the Italian youngster.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, Milan and Atletico will be in contact on Friday to discuss the 28-year-old left back, Guilherme Siqueira, who played in the youth sectors of Inter and Lazio and also played for Udinese between 2006 and 2010. Di Marzio claims that Milan are willing to go beyond their initial offer of a loan and just go ahead and buy the player on a permanent basis.
La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning confirms that Siqueira has caught the attention of Milan, especially since Fiorentina appear to be reluctant to give away the 32-year-old Manuel Pasqual, who has Filippo Inzaghi’s top choice since the summer. Pasqual will be a free agent in the summer unless he renews his contract but the Viola won’t sell him before finding a replacement.
Gazzetta writes that FC Lorient’s Raphaël Guerreiro, 21-year-old, is another option of Milan and Sky adds that Douglas Santos, who is owned by Udinese is the alternative if they fail to sign Siqueira.

Just offload the junks to the bin first. I realize Zaccardo, Albertazzi, and Essien are just going to steep up Milan’s paybill this season, then sign either of those written choices and Santon.
Albertazzi? Albertazzi would be benched even in Serie B, he is horrible. Milan`s primavera is not special, and the youngsters from there are not magic. We can`t afford right now to play youngsters and expect them to turn into worldclass players overnight. Especially considering the team right now. We need solid, proven and experienced players. yeah, youngster aren’t magical solution. it’s pain me to see milan players playing like a bunch of youngster who never play for first team, despite their age was already old.
from the players that i’m going to write down every single one of them should be sold or have their loans terminated: Agazzi, Muntari, Saponara (use him for Baselli), Pazzini, Albertazzi, Essien, Zapata, Niang, van Ginkel, Bonera, Armero, Zaccardo and also every single one of the players we have on loan except for players with future Petagna, Boateng, Verdi, Comi, Vergara, Gabrel, Simic, Benedicic. with the money got from these sales, money left from Balotelli’s sale and with the free space left as our wages would decreased enormously we can begin our hunt on players and for an experienced coach.
in my opinion Inzaghi is great motivator but for now he’s an inexperienced coach so we need a coach. with getting rid of a ball and with the an inability to pass or mark this team won’t go far. Damn, I already forgot about Vergara… When he came to milan I thought he would be next T.Silva… And he actually played good games, he was solid… Such a shame that we dont have coach with balls… The hell with it, play one game with talents like Vergara, Cristante, Saponara, Ginkel, Niang, even Mastour (some of them are now gone, but just saying..)… It doesent have to be whole game and whole team, bring them at least last 10-15 mins… Just for experience…

Mbia is a great midfield player. I’ve been wishing for that for awhile but not sure why Milan has never considered him. Darmian is also a great option for LB. He is versatile and can play on both flanks but Milan main target is Pasqual, go figure!
Off topic, did anyone wstch real madrid vs athletico madrid yesterday? Torres on 2 beautiful goals. If you have skillful midfielders that can create and distribute very well, any impotent striker would score. Inzaghi during his playing days shone because of the world class midfielders he had behind him. Sign some real football players in our midfield and see the best of pazzini. I don’t think arrivals in this window would be smart beyond the positions suggested by Galliani. Torres left (too early? No service!) and cerci came in, which was an important move (but cerci would be better used to serve Torres than menez, in my opinion, and pazzo leaving would have been better). And what do some mean the team has to gel? That’s not true. We need players now in this window. Period. We should sign Siqeuira or Guerreiro. Obviously I’d prefer Guerreiro because he’s a tad bit younger, but both are great leftbacks. Oh and they are ACTUAL LEFT BACKS!
Just use Armero man..he might not be the best but he will do until MDS comes back. Sure, sign a young back-up option if needed, but dont go splashin all the cash into LB position
