MARCO VAN GINKEL will join Milan on the transfer deadline as he has accepted a loan move, according to the media.
Milan got Fernando Torres from Chelsea for the attack on a two-year loan, which is effectively a permanent free transfer as his Chelsea deal expires in 2016, and the Rossoneri’s midfield reinforcement is also coming on loan from The Blues.
il Diavolo were linked with many players in this summer, including Blerim Dzemaili (who looks set to join Galatasaray along with Goran Pandev), Adrien Rabiot (who might join Roma) and Clément Grenier, but Marco Van Ginkel is coming.
Albertini: “Torres needs to feel responsibility on his shoulders”
Milan-Lazio: Probable formations
After days of reflection, Van Ginkel has finally given his answer to Milan today and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it was what Filippo Inzaghi & Galliani were hoping for – a yes. Van Ginkel’s agent Rob Jansen and Italian representative Gianluca Fiorini have been working on the move in the last days and it looks set to be completed tomorrow (Sep 1st).
Van Ginkel will arrive to Milano this evening and on Monday he will undergo the medical check-ups and sign the contract. Unless there have been any last minute changes in the formula, Milan are getting the Dutchman on a one-year loan deal and won’t have an option to buy him out next summer, meaning he’ll be back at Chelsea for the 2015/16 season. Nigel De Jong recommended Milan to sign him while Fernando Torres spoke with him on the phone today, urging him to say ‘yes’.
It’s possible that Milan will now loan out Riccardo Saponara who is strongly wanted by Empoli. Bryan Cristante and De Jong are not expected to leave the club despite the rumours. Van Ginkel, 21, will be the 16th Dutchman to play for Milan.
I am not worrying about the buy out clause.. he will love the club and same as others who came on loan he will beg Chelsea to stay.. and maybe giving us some money to complete his transfer lol..I am wishing a winger can come so we can complete the squad..
This is a pointless loan in my opinion. If he does well we won`t be able to purchase him because Chelsea will be demanding a lot of money for him.
If Sapo gets loaned it would not be bad for the team though, Van Ginkel is a quality player and much better defensively than Sapo.
Short-sighted management again, sigh.
Galliani is striking again with last minute deals!!I
Goodnews!
Mixend feelings. Anyway he will strenghten our Squad.
Would like to see a real investment, 20 millions for Shaqiri is not that much.
NOS we can’t complete for the scudetto. We have to fight for a place in the top 4
Pity we can’t keep him. Welcome to AC Milan MVG.
Reports said that Milan will pay €0.5m if MVG playes up to 20 matches,if less than 20 matches,Milan will pay €1m for the loan.
great! now we need Taarabt
We should have just gotten Taarabt…Someone who actually wants to play for Milan
I like this! Yes their is no option to buy but that doesn’t really mean much, when is the last time we even used one of those options? If he enjoys his time here and is successful he will want to stay.
Good News I think! So Sapo should be loaned to empoli and complete Taarabt sign and let hope for success this season. Please Galliani don’t sell De Jong.
It’s hard to know weather or not it’s a good deal? On the one hand he’s a very good promising player and will certainly help our cause but in the other hand we’ve no option to buy him and like someone else says he’ll cost a fortune if he plays well which he probably will do and while he’s playing in the team it means some of our own players won’t get match time to develop there own talents, On to other things wasn’t it great to get the three points today? I thought we played really well and in… Read more »
If Saponara goes on loan its will help him alot because Empoli already know him and knows what he can do so he will get much playing time there than Milan.
Great move!….welcome mvg.
Milan needs that creative spark in the middle, and player fit that role very well taarabt, image SES,MENEZ,TAARABT and Matsour playing at the same time, that will be delight,a lot of flicks and trickery will be displayed by milan players
it feels good to see milan leading the table..
even though it is only the first round… bt it feels good, seeing us above roma and juventus at least just once….. hope this feeling lasts…
our midfield needs to get rid of Essien, loan Saponara for 1 or 2 season as he will succeed Muntari in 2 seasons, when Muntari’s contract will expire and i think we’ll be set in midfield after these changes, but we still need reinforcement in attack. we need to replace Pazzini with a high class striker like J.Martinez/G.Rossi/Destro and we would then need to sign Taarbt, he was one of the best in Milan last season and the guy only costs like 4-5m. we have 4 goalkeepers and the wisest choice would be to loan Gabriel, somewhere he would get… Read more »
Get taarabt and we can win the secudetto
How good would it be if we bought Rabiot.
This is a stupid signing in my opinion,Is he that better than Saponara or Cristante? so we sign another club youngster on loan to give them more playing time while we loan out our own young player Saponara. hmmmm, That makes absolutely no sense to me
I just read that we sold Bryan Cristante for 6 Million euros …. What got into Fester??
