SULLEY MUNTARI has complete faith in the work of coach Filippo Inzaghi and has said that ‘it is not nice to lose’.
Milan’s United States and Canada tour has been abysmal so far as they conceded 8 goals in two games – against Olympiakos and City. The Rossoneri managed to get the ball inside the opposition’s net, with Muntari being the scorer.
The Ghana man captained Milan last night against Man City. The EPL side, who used mostly bench and reserve players, tore Milan apart and were 4-0 up by the 30′ minute. Muntari, however, is convinced that the team can do well next year.
Inzaghi: “Milan have to improve, the blame lies with me”
Highlights: Manchester City 5-1 Milan
“We’re doing well in training, the coach’s ideas are positive for us players. We can go far, I have a lot of confidence in what the coach is doing. We have the objective of focusing our efforts for the start of the league championship,” Muntari, who turns 30 next in a month, said after the 5-1 defeat. “We don’t want to talk, but simply work hard. We always speak amongst ourselves, we want to do well and be a good group. This year we’ll get our head down, keep our feet on the ground & work.
“I have a lot of faith that the path laid out by coach Inzaghi is the right one because there is a lot of respect and collaboration. The feeling is right. We want to reach the top, it won’t be easy and we will need everyone. The match against Manchester City? It’s the start of pre-season, it’s not nice to lose matches, but we’ll be ready for the start of the league.
“It’s a long time since I’ve taken part in a type of training session like the ones organized by coach Inzaghi. I’ve noted great enthusiasm and in a situation like this joyful moments will also arrive. Inzaghi knows what we have to do to win. It’s not his fault now, it’s nobody’s fault. We’re training and growing. We must continue to work hard and reach the results that we want.”
So far Milan haven’t been getting the results they want and the ‘hard work’ hasn’t really paid off, apart from Vio’s work – the deadball expert on the staff of Inzaghi: Muntari’s goal arrived from a free kick and Milan did some interesting tricks.
that’s some ol’ bulshit
This guy is making me laugh….lolz..bulshit..lolz!..rubbish.lolz…nonsence…loz..
Okay Muntari….so Milan doesn’t need a competitive match, doesn’t need a league….just do training in whole next year….because you and your team only have enthusiasm in training…..
The things that makes me like this guy a little bit is:
1)He’s african like me and that he scores against big teams,eg Barca,Juve,City,Roma.
They are doing well at training…maybe because they train against each other and they all suck. The fact that this guy was captain just tops it all off.
Muntari might not be Milan’s quality at best but he’s more solid than most of our overrated players…. Atleast he scores in big games and delivers decently. Think of players like Bonera, Zaccardo whom Inzaghi block his departure, montolivo who is a flop and disgrace to milan, Agazi, pazzini a striker who hardly scores etc
