MILAN CONTINUED to look bad on the USA & Canada Tour as they suffered a heavy defeat to Manchester City in the city of Pittsburg. The Rossoneri started with some enthusiasm but they fell on their knees very, very quickly with City leading 4-0 in the 27′ minute thanks to goals from Stevan Jovetic (12′), Scott Sinclair (13′), Jesus Navas (23′) and Kelechi Iheanacho (26′). Milan were nowhere to be found in the first half and were easily outplayed by Man City, who hardly played starting XI players. Sulley Muntari, who was the captain, pulled one back for Milan in the 42′ minute. Things were slightly different in the first half but City’s superiority was never questioned and they got another goal in the 58′ minute through Jovetic. Negative performance from Inzaghi’s side, who keep being embarrassed in America.

Manchester City: Caballero; Clichy, Nastasic, Boyata (Rekik), Kolarov (Richards); Sinclair, Fernando (Huws), Zuculini, (Rodwell) Navas; Jovetic (Guidetti), Ihenacho (Garcia). Unused: Hart, Wright, Lawlor, Bossaerts, Denayer, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Milner, David Silva, Dzeko. Coach: Manuel Pellegrini.

Goal 1: Constant nowhere to be found, poor goalkeeping by Agazzi. Goal 2: Open cross comes in from the left (Constant’s side), brilliant control and finish from Sinclair (if a bit lucky). Goal 3: Deflection, Agazzi could have been there. Goal 4: Constant standing there like a statue waiting for other defenders to do the dirty work, giving more than enough time for a shot on goal (which, of course, finds the net with the help of Agazzi’s legs of molasses). Goal 5: Can’t tell who was marking Jovetic, but at this point we already have let in 4 goals… Read more »
To further emphasize Constant’s ineptitude, look at Alex’s positioning on the second goal. He is so far over helping to cover Constant that there is a HUMONGOUS hole between the center backs for Sinclair to parade right through.
Suffice to say, the back four is lacking. Not necessarily in talent, but in organization. We need a leader amongst the back four. And PLEASE don’t let it be Bonera.
i still can believe milan are letting constant play, more oever i cant believe that milan cant pay 12 to get criscito from zenit, we really need a good left back, further why havent we got ochoa ?? he was a free agent and much better than agazzi who is a cagliari reject. Senseless transfer market stratregy by milan, i cant believe that they dont even have 15 million to spend on a player
Everything that has beginning has an end. Imagine seedorf is still here. Now we are conceeding 3 and 5 goals still yet. Is this what the milan fans deserve. Well time will tell
Wow, what a disgraceful perfomance… ironically that match even had symbolic character. ManCity that in general epitomize “spending money” and on the other side Milan that nowadays embody a team that refuse to spend money and just want to live from its name and history. Money > glorious past but no money. 5-1. The match surely was examplary for that. I mean, what did Berlusconi or Galliani expect, we finished 8th last season, so lets sign 3 free agents and go for scudetto this year?! Don´t make me laugh! This team needs a complete overhaul, new fresh players who can… Read more »
Hahahaha
Holy mother if dump. Agazzi is freakin terrible. And I really hope that some rich sheik buys our club or something. Seriously Galliani is a dunce.
