Kaka set to leave Milan: Orlando City talks in advanced stage

16

ORNALDO CITY have confirmed Kaka is expected to join them next January but he could go to Sao Paulo on loan first.

Milan are reportedly interested in signing Juan Iturbe from Hellas but they first have to make space for him and the likeliest option would be Iturbe in the place of Kaka and Robinho as Milan would save a significant amount from their departures.

No one has moved forward for Robinho yet but Kaka has definitely attracted some attention from other clubs and it looks like he has reached an agreement with the MLS side Orlando City Soccer Club regarding a move in March 2015.

Official: Chievo buy out Paloschi, Traoré joins Bursaspor
Report: No offer from Arsenal for Balotelli

ESPN’s Taylor Twellman revealed the story through Twitter last night: “Breaking News: @OrlandoCitySC have signed their 1st DP @KAKA. He will be loaned out to Sao Paolo until 2015. @MLS making moves.” This tweet came after ESPN Brazil quoted Sao Paulo’s chairman Carlos Miguel Aidar saying that “all I can say is that Kaka’s arrival is more or less certain.”

Kaka has been fascinated by the idea of the MLS but with his reported family problems, it makes sense that he’d go to Sao Paulo first, especially considering the fact that Sao Paulo and Orlando City have entered into a partnership agreement. According to Sky Italia‘s respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio Kaka has yet to tell Milan what he does with his future. Kaka returned to Milan in September after spending four years at Real Madrid, who bought him from il Diavolo for €68 mil.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta is reporting that Milan have offered Philippe Mexes a new contract until 2016 worth €2.5m (his current deal is worth €4m yearly). Sulley Muntari recently got a new contract until 2016, worth €2.8m net a year (can raise to €3m).

Update: Orlando City confirm the Kaka rumours

“Orlando City Soccer Club is in advanced discussions with Kaka. Pending completion of the potential player agreement, Kaka would join Orlando City SC in January 2015 prior to the Club’s first season in Major League Soccer. The Club will have no additional comment until further notice,” a statement on Orlando City Soccer Club’s website reads on Friday.

I’m really going to miss him, was so glad when Ricky came back and now just one year later he’ll leave. But family is more important, too bad his Milan adventure ends with Milan being in such a poor state… All the best of luck to you Ricky, no matter what you do, you’ll always be my idol! On another note, I can’t help but hope that Robinho leaves too along with Noce etc. To open up space and save wages, especially if it means that Iturbe will join, even though I’d personally prefer Cerci. What do you guys think,… Read more »

Iturbe, for the long run. He´s probably less expensive at the moment as well. Grab him while we can

karth

Hope Kaka’s family problems would be resolved soon. That guy is a model citizen for us all.

I would prefer Iturbe over Cerci as he is younger and they are both similar kind of players. Cerci would be fine too though!

Arber

El 92 & Iturbe & Joel Campbell and the Serie A is ours this year and the CHampions League the next year

shoaib

you need to wake up mate

juventus have 2 times the team we have

have you seen our midfield which is without creativity

and i dont even want to talk about the defence

Unamused Observer

What is the fuss about joel Campbell that people want to see in Milan? He is just an average footballer next to Alex Sanchez. Just think about it,a club like Arsenal wanting to let a young “super talent” Joel go plus money for Balo? lol
Call me crazy but i don’t think Arsenal officials are this stupid to make this move.

As Riccardo Kaka is about to leave Milan, Riccardo Saponara today becomes a Milan player after Milan bought the other half for EUR1M.

OFFICIAL / BREAKING NEWS: Milan have confirmed that they have picked up Ricky Saponara from Parma, resolving his co-ownership status. The two clubs were in talks today ahead of this evening’s deadline for all Italian clubs to determine 50-50 shares on players or risk going to blind auction. Attacking midfielder Saponara has been confirmed now by the Rossoneri as moving to them in full ownership, for a deal worth a reported €1m. “Ricky Saponara has been bought outright from Parma FC,” Milan have confirmed in a brief statement today. The Diavolo have so far picked up full ownership of Saponara,… Read more »

Guys, what do you thing about Jefferson Montero? I believe he’s better than Iturbe and Cerci. He’s also cheaper, if you don’t know him, please check him out, we were rumored to sign him earlier this week.

I find this to be good news. Although Kaka is legend the best thing for both Milan and him is separation. Mexes and Rami are decent defense pair but I would prefer to get rid of Mexes. If not Mexes then we should cash in Zapata and invest in younger CB. Hopefully we will get rid of Constant, Nocerino, Amelia, Essien, Birsa, Zaccardo and Robinho – could expect 10-15 mil from tranfers. Together with leave of Emanuelson, Traore and Silvestre our wage budget would be significantly eased. Everybody’s saying now that Balotelli mustn’t leave – well I think he should… Read more »

It is okay, to let KAKA leave at this moment. We need to start a new project where the younger and players with more chances in the future should get playing time. Furthermore he has a very high salary along with Mexes and Robinho, which i think could be invested far better. The only thing which make me sad, is that he is a LEGEND, and he is leaving Milan with no good memories. He is worth more than that. More than what Milan delivered last season. Also i think, it is time to buy 2-3 top talented players who… Read more »

Next season will be interesting for sure!
I think Pippo will be very good for Milan.
His 4-3-3 is interesting and I think we can get a very strong team next year.

If we sign:
Iturbe
Astori or Rami
Mandzukic or keep Balo
Santon or Cole

We could play like this:

———————Gabriel———————-

DeSciglio—Rami/Astori—-Alex——-Santon/Cole

———————-DeJong———————
———Menez———————-Honda———

——–Iturbe——Balotelli/Mandz—-SES92——-

Not bad at all!

Pavle

No way Menez can play midfielder – he is right wing/forward. Honda could do it but also not most suitable position for him. Would like to see Poli in right midfield and Cristante on the left (if we don’t sign someone better).

I would prefer someone else rather than Iturbe. It’s not that I think he wouldn’t be improvement but for that sum of money we could buy 2 or even 3 improvements. It’s actually surprising that suddenly Galliani and Berlusconi are prepared to give that much money for one pretty unproven player.

ELLO

yeah but Santon,Mandzukic,Iturbe,Astori wont be in Milan ..
