IN THE words of the President Berlusconi of Milan a few weeks ago, “This morning I met many people that could keep the Milan dressing room in hand very well,” he told Telelombardia.
Those were the allusive but sardonic remarks of Berlusconi to spite on Seedorf, the President who appointed the Milan coach, equivocally undermining the coach amid rumors evolving the potential departure of the Dutch who has served his side brilliantly, considering the former Rossoneri player lacked experience upon assignation, despite having led his team from bottom to higher up the Serie A table to secure a safer standing.
Amassing an impressive tally of 7 wins out of the last 9 appearances of the fruitless season, Seedorf men battled to qualify for the Europa League, almost qualifying but unfortunately they failed to achieve their goal by slight margin.
Milan’s hope, and determination to qualify for the Europa League would have been deemed impossible if it had not been for the ingenuity of the novice coach whose clever managerial tactics ensued success and a certain style of play to keep the side’s hope alive, but Seedorf risks getting fired in spite of being proficient.
Seedorf seems to have fallen from grace, and has become a pariah to his employer, who derides his coaching tactics, according to speculations.
Arrigo Sacchi concerning Seedorf, the former Rossoneri coach told Radio Two: “When one wants to set up a rock band, having only jazz musicians makes it difficult. He has got some good results, but his game is not always successful.” The opinion of the legendary former coach is shared by Berlusconi according to speculations.
Sacchi in his contradictory statement expresses doubts concerning Seedorfs style of play. But in football, the style of play does not matter if it produces wins. Mourinho, the famous coach has been heavily criticized for his tactical philosophy with no regards fot the esthetics, but he will go on to be successful having won great amounts of trophies.
Giving all the critics besetting Seedorf, there has been no clear reasons to justify such seeming dubious conduct. But the coach would go ahead and talk about the club’s accomplishments of the season.
“Missing out on the Europa League? From the start that wasn’t the objective we had in mind. The lads did really well to emerge from a very difficult situation, as the number of points we earned in the second half of the season was dignified,” Seedorf told Sky Sport Italia
The future of the former Milan payer to become a pariah, is at risk in the hands of his employers, uncertain if the coming season shall see him remain in charge of office, or vacate, only time shall tell.
