Taarabt: “This is just the start, I tried to please the crowd”

ADEL TAARABT is looking forward to the games against Roma and Inter and Constant has said Milan have confidence.

Things are looking up for Milan these days and they are now just five points away from Inter who are fifth and tied with Parma in six place which leads to the Europa League qualification stage (which Milan want to avoid due to the USA Tour).

The Rossoneri won their fifth match in a row today against Livorno with goals from Mario Balotelli (assist by Kevin Constant), Adel Taarabt and Giampaolo Pazzini (both were Balo assists) but the next game is against second place Roma.

Balotelli: “Milan play to win, the dressing room is united”
Highlights: Milan 3-0 Livorno

“I’m really happy to have scored my first goal at the San Siro,” Taarabt told Milan Channel. “I was waiting a long time for it, but the main thing is the 3 points for the team. I like to help the team, and then if I’m able to play well then that’s a bonus. We had a good time today with Robinho and Balotelli. We linked up well and we put on a show. I tried to please the crowd!

“No one had heard of me in Italy before I came to the club, so I have to thank the CEO Adriano Galliani. When he brought me to the club he said ‘now show them who you are’ and I’m trying to do this. The league table is now without a doubt a lot better. This is just the start though. We now have to collect points against Roma and Inter. My friends have already started to ask me about the derby, but we’ve got Roma first. The Roma match will also be a kind of derby as Benatia plays there.

“I’m expecting a lot from the Inter match. Many people have spoken to me about this match. I have fun out on the pitch and I try to put on a show for the fans. I try to do my best and when possible help the team out in all phases of play.”

Constant is another player that had a good performance. “The compliments for my performance go to the lads who give me confidence and I hope to continue with this team,” the left-back stated. “I wanted to bounce back and every time the coach calls upon me I want to give my best to help-out the team. We’re all full of confidence and this helps us out on the pitch.

“The tough times were hard, but it didn’t knock our confidence and we all continued to work hard. We’re following the coach’s instructions and we’ll continue on this path. I’m happy Balotelli scored. However, the most important thing is that Milan win and that we arrive in the Europa League. We need to fight with Parma and think about our matches. We’ve now got a tough game with Roma on the way and we have to focus. Happy Easter everybody!” added the former Chievo man.

Milan have an option to buy Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers for 7 million this summer and at the moment it looks like it’d be foolish of them not to take up this option. The future of Constant, meanwhile, will be decided at the end of the year.

I hope Galliani doesn’t do a U-turn and keep all the dead weight that are surprisingly playing well under Seedorf. They will just flop in the beginning of the season like the last 2 seasons. This is the exact same case with Allegri, no results for half of the season and then out of the blue we start to get results till the end of the season. Then we kept Allegri and the same happened again, this however should not be the case with the mediocre players at Milan. It just shows you the inconsistency of the players. They don’t… Read more »

what’s the news about Milan refusing to buy Rami because of the 10 million price tag?????

Yeah, I got so frustrated to know about Man Utd knocking the door of Valencia for Rami with Euro 12 mils… bcos Milan doesn’t want to pay 7 mils…god sake…then fire Seedorf too? WTF…seriously..

Galliani must go. We are gonna be in trouble the more if seedorf is sacked end of season. Remember a platoon of galliani terrible transfer will soon be back from loans. Am thinking Seedorf might have infuriated Galliani when it was alleged he said he doesn’t want 75% of the players in the squad… Hmm

Face it, everything we knew about taraabt before Milan was something negative, he got the chance at Milan to impress and he did. Keep it up taraabt good job
