Berlusconi: “Galliani stays, Milan proceed in unity”

TWIST: VICE PRESIDENT Adriano Galliani will stay at Milan according to the Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi.

Galliani told the press on Friday evening that he will leave Milan after the Ajax game or after the derby with Inter (December 22nd), something that angered President Silvio Berlusconi who stated that Galliani’s words were ‘bad for our image’.

Berlusconi invited Galliani over for a dinner last night at his villa at Arcore, a dinner that lasted four hours. Silvio, who was supposed to be at Milanello today to visit the players and the staff, has now said that the CEO will keep his position.

Report: Maldini to be Barbara’s first ‘purchase’

“The only reason I did not come to Milanello was due to the adverse weather conditions and I am disappointed,” Berlusconi said today. “In any case, Milan go forward in a calm manner. Adriano Galliani is more relieved now, everyone is staying in their positions and Milan proceed in unity. I wanted to say these things directly to the media, but that is the basic gist of it.

“The club situation will not change. Galliani is relaxed after last night’s dinner at Arcore.” Galliani claimed yesterday that he’s set to leave ‘for a right cause’ and that his reputation has suffered a hit and he’s been insulted. Galliani was most likely referring to the words of Barbara Berlusconi, who has many differences with Uncle Fester who has been at the club for nearly 28 years. Barbara wants to change the club’s structure but if Berlusconi’s words are to be believed, it won’t be easy.

Paolo Maldini is apparently on his way to the club as a technical director but if Galliani indeed stays it could risk his arrival. Only time will tell if Galliani will stay or if this is just a tactic by Berlusconi to calm everyone down after Galliani’s outburst.

Nyemasem

We need a change. That man lack ideas and ambition.

Koni

The only thing that i hope for is Berlusconi spending this winter in order to rebuild Galliani’s Reputation

caleb

We want paolo!!!!!

nick

Galliani will leave for sure. i think this is just to calm things down and do his departure the right way. This is just a smokescreen in my opinion.

the milano

I think ur right

Pa ibra

lets hope

Ouch!

I hate to admit it but we AC Milan are the biggest joke of a circus in the world of football. Always back and forth. First with berlu virtually sacking allergic then for galliani to save his ass, now galliani about to leave but turn of events again! Everything at Milan is just completely messed up and seriously confused! We need to start a new page! The best way possible is for a complete clear out. Unfortunately Berlusconi being president will most likely remain, so the best and most realistic change should be Galliani and Allegri to be replaced. Change… Read more »

The only reason he’ll remain is because he threatened legal action 50mil, Berlusconi can’t afford that ATM. Berlusconi plastered the situation I think he’ll eventually leave but I think it should be done in a respectable manner.

If Galliani does not leave then Milan will go to relegation… Common he has been there for 28years… What else does Galliani wants??? I am surprised that in spite of the fact that Galliani has won everything, he still greedy for more power… If I were Galliani, I will quit while the ovation is at loudest… Sincerely, this is the best time for Galliani to leave….

Milanista121

Just like NIck says, i think that in the end, Galliani will leave, perhaps not after the Ajax game or after the derby, but after the season, it’s a good thing by Berlu, so that Galliani can step down with a bit more dignity than he would at this moment. Even though I would love it to still have Galliani with us, but in a more reduced role, I do think that Galliani will leave, especially due to his statements last night, because this will also be a hit to his reputation, if he’s a man that doesn’t stand by… Read more »

U guys r glory hunters.. Galliani should stay cause of his connections and experience, he is a master.. Yes he’s made many mistakes but that’sfor low budget.. All of a sudden milan have a really bad start to a season and buys matri for 12m(which is the worst deal ever) and u want him gone? DDon’t forget last January he got us balotelli for a cut deal and got us king Kaka for free and rami and Honda.. I agree he should have less power and bring in Maldini but galliani should definitely remain.. He’s a guru.. U guys only… Read more »

it seems you dont get the point that galliani does not want to share the power with our legends. he’s like if you bring paolo, i’ll quit.

perhaps we could’ve given him a little bit support had he not been as selfish.

Hasowayne

WHATEVER……!!! Galliani leaving is a bad image for us right??? But awful signings, a wacko coach and horrible football and lounging at the bottom of the table aren’t bad images???? Typical new Milan. Always addressing the right issues wrongly…!

ROSSONERI4EVA

Galliani thank you for all you have done, you WERE a great transfer director, but with limited funds you really have struggled. Silvestre, Zaccardo, Taiwo, Constant, Mesbah, Traore and Matri are clear examples of that, along with our amazing coach Allegri.
Give Maldini the job of transfer director and Seedorf the managerial job. Make Inzaghi his assistant and also add Demetrio Albertini and Michele Uva to the board of directors. We are stagnating at the moment and it will only get worse. Time for change Silvio, or you will wreck our beloved club.

Rossonero93

he brought matri bcz allegri insisted, tho.. but as i remember last year everyone was saying “why sign pazzini.. we should get matri instead” you all think so much different today

ROSSONERI4EVA

He didn’t have to sign Matri. He could have said no to Allegri (Who has been repeatedly backed by Galliani). I’ve also never said why sign Pazzini.. We should get Matri instead, even last year, so I don’t know why you are surmising this. We all have different opinions.

RKaY

This definitely has to be silvio just trying to make things look okay tithe media like Nick said, but I would like galliani to have some role at the club, he has built relationships with other clubs over his time here, when he goes, they go. Galliani will probably not accept a smaller role, he will probably still go

milanawy

keep calm and always fight :)

Milan fan

Does this mean more Constant,Birsa,Muntari,Matri players ?

Hondanori

Yap… I told u guys these buddies cant quit, Berlusconi is the bulldog while Galliani is the bone.
Babara is not just of dat school of thought… Anyways, Galliani needs a young modern generational assistant to draft things out for him to implement, becos no doubt even doh some clubs(CSKA, Fiorentina, Ajax) do not like his style of late, the Don still has an unmatched charisma, which of cause is an asset to us.
Forza Milan!
As always “Milan till the casket”

EllO

He didnt sacked Alergi ,didnt bring replaces for Ibrahimovic , Sedorf , Thiago Silva and Nesta until now ! I think if he stays he schould repair his mistakes this winter. We are near in serie B and we dont have no chance in Europe like this. If he cannot do it he schould be replaced for sure .

Greg

This is BS, just classic Milan, getting our hopes up about change then taking it away. Continuing as we are means continue slipping down the toilet and becoming a laughing stock even further like we have been doing since 2007. It used to be a ridiculously old team, now it’s full of completely average played managed by a total idiot who doesn’t give our young players a chance. Allegri must go and Galliani must follow, change is essential to survive. There’s no chance of Maldini coming back now.

Offliner

If Maldini joined as a technical director this will make me forget this bad season. For sure Galliani must stay!

gaushow

anything goes.. we just need to fire the cancer

I don’t blame people on tis blog 4 trash tokn,if only ya’ll no 2 handle busines n wat it takes,in ani case, grande presidente,4 dis is heart warmin n gratifyin

i have a feeling that we will try to sell El Shaarawy this Winter with Allegri’s new tactic 4-3-2-1 but i reaaly hope we keep him and go for the 4-2-3-1 formation

pstine

yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss give galliani a chance until the end or half of the season. guys i’m sure that galliani is waiting for someone maybe he is waitng pippo or seedorf or someone else to take and give him a chance to come back like before i’m sure that he will change don’t forget he is one of the best director in football history and bigest clubs in europe want him dont forget that he was who brought Massaro, Donadoni, Galli, Gullit, Van Basten, Ancelotti, Colombo, Rijkaard, Simone, Stroppa, Boban, Papin, Lentini Savicevic, Desailly, Laudrup, Panucci, Baggio, Weah, Viera, Ambrosini, Edgar Davids,… Read more »

all the same story …. the severance money…
Allegri stay because the management won’t and don’t wanna pay this
and now
Galliani using the same strategy, that’s why he’ll never leave, unless no money is involved…

easy guessing
