PAOLO MALDINI could return to Milan in the role of the technical director, it’s reported by the media on Friday.
The new Milan is starting to take shape. Adriano Galliani will leave Milan by the end of 2013 (confirmed it himself earlier today) and Barbara Berlusconi has already decided who will take Uncle Fester’s responsibilities as the technical director.
Galliani is leaving Milan after nearly 28 years in which he acted as the transfer guru and the was the strongest man in the daily activity at via Turati (now via Rossi) but when one walks out one walks in and it appears that Maldini is ready to return.
Galliani: “I will resign after the Ajax match or after the derby”
Reports: Galliani to leave Milan within 8 days
Galliani and Maldini aren’t on the best of terms and just like Barbara Berlusconi and Adriano, it is impossible for them to co-exist at Milan. According to Sky Sport Italia, now that Fester is on the way out, the legendary #3 will become the technical director. Paolo said before that he wants to have a position in which he can be influential; he is also courted by Paris SG.
The powers which used to be in the hands of Galliani will be given to a number of people: some will go to Maldini, some will go to Barbara herself and some will most likely go to a third person, which will be selected by the daughter of Silvio.

It’s getting better already:-) Great news!
Report from Milanello twitter:
“Cesare Maldini just confirmed to Al Jazeera that Paolo Maldini will return to Milan & there was already an agreement with him!”
Legend is back!!!!!
Thanks a lottt for all you have done MR.Galliani…you will be remembered always as one of the greats of AC MILAN family…with the help of all your efforts we grew…but you have to understand the need of new new faces, strategies, business management…Wish Paolo Maldini another great of milan family, may take your place and make Milan more brighter and better…wish you a happy Retirement
perfect, first purchase

ohhhhhh happy day
ohhhhhh happy day
when barbara washed the shet away
ohhhh happpy day
Way to turn a christian song into a song about Milan. But Galliani is not as bad as you described.
All the good times are on their way!
Forza Milan <3
Even if I want,we want nd need change,..def with all galliani has giving and taken from milan,..this is nt the best way to let him go,,.mayb d sending of of alex ferguson would have been a mantra,..well forza galliani,..forza milan! Let’s see what maldini will do
i think galla don’t deserve this send off i think a better send off would be best.
according to the article and my understanding, galliani is the one sending himself off. he does not want to work with our legends. wfft
Hahahaha, let’s c if being a technical director is same as being a defender, very best dou.2 d masta of d art of defendin, hope u become master of tis nu art 2. FORZA paolo
I’d rather see Maldini as a director than some unknown guy from Parma, Verona or Roma’s Sabatini….
We need someone who already knows what Milan is. And nobody’s better to take that role from our eternal Captain!!
get us machetti now
If it’s Maldini who will take over then fine, the vacancy Galliani leaves behind him won’t feel as empty with Maldini there. I can’t think of any other taking over, we need to install the Milan DNA into the club once more.
Am already missing galliani.wish he had left under a different circumstance.its sad because he is leaving our milan with annoyance and without a proper goodbye
Even though galliani was the transfer guru and all that, one could argue about him leaving buas long as it is Maldini that will take over then I am more than happy.Forza Milan Forza Maldini!!!!
First thing is to sack Allegri. Please rid matri muntari n constant. Give saponanra n cristante decent chances
Really good news. I prefer giving these chances to our legends rather than Napoli or Juventus or Fiorentina’s directors.
Albertini would also be great.
We will see what will say the people who was around Milan all their life . But one thing is sure ..things r happenig now,, damnn !
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Thank you Galliani for these 28 years. You are the real hero behind Milan success. Now its time for Maldini era.
As for Galliani. Thanks for the wonderful years. Thanks for bringing in afew good players on the cheap. For ex poli ronaldinho. However this season I m beginning to hate you. I believe you kept Allegri for political reasons rather than truly believing in him. End of last season, you vouched for him n u knew that by sacking him early in the season is like a sucker punch, slapping your own face. Please nobody is bigger than a club. No CEO is bigger thanan organization. On hindsight I still love you as 1 bad decision or a bad year… Read more »
I have some questions. I do have a clue what Galliani’s role was at Milan of course. But what exactly was Galliani incharge of? I know he dealt with transfers… but more profoundly, what other things was he to take of in that position?
Thanks!
I love that Maldini is back and that we bring back Milan players to Manegment and that we have more people responsible than only one man. I must say though as a hard core Milan fan that Galliani is perhaps the best transfer guru in the world and the deals he made with Ibra, Kaka return, Nesta purchase were perfect and I can go on. So I believe the new Management must focus on scouting and finding really good talent and buy them before others will and use people like Maldini to tell them to join. Like getting Verrati a… Read more »
The great thing with Maldini coming, and probably inzaghi too is that AC milan truly will start using youngsters developed in milanello. I really think this season will be used to clean out the dead meat; Amelia, zaccardo, bonera, noce etc. And the best thing is that even if we buy a couple of players the youth would still have a chance to come through the ranks.. Galliani was a Master, but i think its good with some fresh and hungry legend who are crying over the Milan situation. And who in previous interviews a lot of times has said… Read more »
Lady B should fire Allegri immediately and get rid of players that are surplus to requirement, example Matrix
Allegri and Matrix have cost Galliani his job. This should be a lesson to the new coming executives,If you don’t perform then you will be sacked!!
Players who doesn’t deserve the AC Milan jersey should leave the club
Forza Barbara
Forza Milan
Fire Allegri!!
This is terrible news. We have all forgotten 28 years of success, and only remember a few bad signings recently. Remember all the trophies won and great players signed. Maldini was a great player but he has zero experience in this role. Its a move to please the fans not a proper business decision.
maldini would be great. he will persuade world class players to join milan with his presence, look what zidane is doing for madrid
Im glad its Maldini datz taking over bt Maldini wont affect d team if Berlurconi doesnt release d cash needed to sign decent players….and btw, i hop Honda would stil join
Nothing is sure yet
maldini is back… thx to galliani for being milan become one of greatset football club in the world… i know this forum want maldini become technical direcor… but remember he has zero experience about this, so it takes times and process… maybe later he’s good or bad with his new roles… maybe he can bring some new good players or maybe he can do some mistakes…. once again be patient… maldini isnot saviour on this difficult moment in milan…. so please dont like act a kids which always cry if dont get candy or toys, this is not games, candy… Read more »
I think it was his fault because last summer we lost all our targets like Ogbonna,Sakho,Alderwiel,Alcantara,Cerci,Yarmolenko,Ericksen,Honda,Strootman,Tevez,Griezmann,Kondogbia, but he ended up giving us Silvester,Birsa,Matri, had it been we got about 4 of those players,he also backed Allegri whenever we lost terribly which breaks our heart, now he’s interested in Kaboul and Burdisso(bench warmers).
Umm..Kaboul is not a bench warmer, he´s not playing at Spurs alot because he was injured for a long time. Before that he was captain. Tbh he´s probably better than all our CBs right now, or at least as good as Mexes
I will delete his phone number as soon as he steps down,Lady B and Maldini is the JOSHUA AND AARON that will lead us to the promise land. Thanks Uncle Fester for all you have done.

Also Tassotti and Allegri to Lazio, while Seedorf becomes coach with Nesta as assistant. That would be great.
Galiani after 28 years at Milan lost his patience for Barbara, a lady more like his daughter. Let us face the fact here, what has Barbara done or said wrong? the only recent statement made by Barbara was “Milan will undergo restructuring” and is that offensive? We all love and adore Galiani but he got it completely wrong here if he feels this club doesn’t need restructuring, if he feels he must continue to control multiple departments, if he thinks Maldini will never get a chance to work for Milan with him as CEO, if he thinks telling us how… Read more »
its an option of chossing galliani or maldini?
its obvious galliani is not willing to work with anyone… he has been stepping on maldinis way for a while. apart from insisting on allegri, i’ve no other big deal with him until now that he wont accept working with maldini. l would gladly chose paolo over him if thats the case. however it takes nothing away from galliani of course he’s part of milan and will remain part of of it forever.
i have faith in barbaras ideas. lets move with her and the legends.
Guys we dont know what happened between Galliani and Barbara, however, Galliani seems to be pissed off and he mentioned that his reputation is blown which means Barbara did something Nasty that made the cool guy angry and in front of the media. Barbara must know that in business you must not make your ppl enemies. Dont forget that Galliani contacts can help her anytime to close deals that none can do (such as Balo, Kaka, and Ibra). I respect the change but not in a way that will affect Milan . And for the guy who said that Barbara… Read more »
i just hope the new directors will not have as much patience with allegri and do something about him fast.
Football-Italia just stated that Galliani will be staying at the club.Silvio Berlusconi has re-affirm Galliani as the C.E.O of the club
New directors? Maldini? Forget it! Berlusconi just released a statment saying Milan will continue with Galliani. I knew it and that’s why i didn’t say farewell to him. Sigh…
wouldnt suprise me if they extend allegris contract with 2 years also
