Galliani: “I will resign after the Ajax match or after the derby”

ADRIANO GALLIANI has confirmed on Friday that he will leave Milan next month after 27 years and 10 months in office.

The Italian press suggested that morning that Adriano Galliani, the strongest man in the day-to-day activity at Milan, will leave the club in the next 8 days and now the CEO has confirmed the news, and could walk away on December 12th.

Barbara Berlusconi is trying to change the face of Milan and the relationship between her and Galliani are very poor. Silvio Berlusconi wanted to keep both at the club but it seems that he’s failed. Galliani has stated he might leave in two weeks.

“I will resign after the match against Ajax or after the derby with Inter on December 22,” Galliani told the press on Friday. “A generational change is fine but not like this. It should have been more elegant. My reputation has taken a severe blow. I will also resign without having reached an agreement regarding my severance package. I’m leaving Milan for the right cause.

“I will resign with or without an agreement regarding my severance package. My future? I will cool down first and then I will make a decision about my future… I won’t accept any offers from anyone for now. When you’ve been insulted then you need to have the strength and intelligence to let some time pass before you make a decision.” Silvio took the side of his ambitious young daughter, Barbara but Adriano has said “my affection for Berlusconi is unchanged and it’s unchangeable.”

An era is close to its end at Milan. It’s difficult to imagine Milan without Galliani – the Galliani that has built many teams and is responsible for 28 trophies in his 27 years at Milan along with Silvio Berlusconi. Ariedo Braida will also leave Milan.

Allegri is Gaillianis downfall. I really dont understand why he is leaving and not allegri. He responsible for the success behind milan and i do not think it is wise to part with him. Again i see the Milan top Management making a poor decision in letting Gaillani leave, If barbara is behind this, then she has already made a stupid decision by letting go of him rather than allegri. Furthermore i am pretty reluctant to see barbara calling the shots at milan, shes inexperienced and is virtually unknown in the footballing world. Maldini might be appointed, but does he… Read more »

Galliani deserve respect for all he has done for milan over the years,

But in all honesty for the past 3 years, he has lost motivation and ambitions, each time we lose or something wrong happens he always tells us how many trophies we’ve won and so on, but real succesful people don’t live in the past, they fight for more even though they know they’re the best and i believe replacing him is the best for the club

i wish him the best
Forza Milan, Forza Galliani

This is the best news ive heard in a long time. I respect him for what he has done. But enough is enough. Silvestre, matri, zaccardo, onyewu, traore, these are all things he has done himself to hinder our club. Kaka was brilliant as well as many of the deals he has pulled off. But he insists on bringin in free players that are garbage. So its time he leaves. and if you think that berlusconi wont give his daughter money, you are sadly mistaken.

Come on man, it’s not like he had 150M to spend and bought those players for 30M each. He had a low budget to operate on and those players were the only option.
Who doesn’t want to buy Ronaldo/Messi/Bale and keep Ibra/Thiago Silva?

Well, now we just have to hope that Barbara will make the ideas she said real . Now is the real year zero but it can turn out to be very
unsuccessful era as well . But i think it wont happen cause the legends and other Milan people that love this club wont let it to happen . At the other hand Barbara deserves good investments for the new era as she is unexperienced and Milan is in Crises now. Respect for Galliany and Forza Milano !

I hope Allegri and Braida are on their way out now too.

First, i want to say big thanks to mr G 4 wat he has done 4 milan. This is d man that made milan wat they are wit silvio. He deserve a better way than this to resign. He is a transfer guru but the signing of matri showed he is developing intrest in somtin oda than milan, mayb politics, so its d right time 4 him to go, but he should hv waited til season to end bcus i knw dis anouncment wil afect d atmospher in milan, our players only need motivation at dis point nt dis. silvio berlusconi stop giving money on milan after his sentence to paid 600mln euro somthing like 2 years ago! after that galiani strat to change milan to self-containd team-to do so he needs time but he didn’t get it!!! i never support geting medicore players from free agents, but what can you do without penny on your bank account? max allegri???-this is something that i cant understand-poor coach that should be sacked in summer!!! my question to galliani is-whats better:save some money(compensation for allegri)but end season behind 3rd place or get new coach(spaletti?? rijkaard?) and fight for scudetto(really think team… Read more »

What’s next, Berlusconi and Lady B leaving and Allegri’s last man standing?

Milan fan

You can like,NOT GET MEDIOCRE players ? Gosh,so many unnecessary players were bought in the past 2-3 years, you have Saporana you get Birsa, you have Cristante you get Muntari/Traore you have Petagna you get Matri, you have Salomon/Vergara you re-sign Bonera and loan Silvestre, you NEED a LB you get freaking constant, you NEED two CD you get Zapata and fat Mexes ? I’m sorry Galliani is a legend, but the club was paying the price for the stupid transfer moves. It’s the right time for a change.

Belusconi just announced that Galliani is not leaving anymore, “Galliani is remaining and Milan will proceed in unity”

lentini

what goes around comes around. galliani disrespected ambrosini. he announced his departure in public without telling him privately. no ceremony, no testimonial match, nothing. so his own departure in these circumstances should be a taste of his own medicine. change is the only constant thing in life. if galliani feels insulted, how should a player of 17years service in sweat and blood feel like? I do not pity him at all. he’s had it coming.
