DAVIDE ASTORI is a target again but Cagliari didn’t accept Milan’s offer; Milan and CSKA will talk Honda next week.
The year has started for Milan and on Saturday they will kick off their Serie A season against Hellas Verona. But Milan’s transfer market depends on one game – and that is the return leg against PSV Eindhoven at San Siro next Wednesday.
If Milan will qualify to the Champions League it’s almost given that they will try to sign new players, with Keisuke Honda being the top target. Milan have been trying to sign him for a long time but the situation can unlock next week.
Traoré agent: “Bakaye wants to play, an exit is possible”
El Shaarawy: “Goal has given me a lift, PSV a good side”
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan and CSKA are expected to meet at Monte Carlo on August 29, on the day of the Champions League group stage draw (provided that Milan qualify to this stage) to negotiate about Honda. It’s believed that Milan’s representative in the talks will be Umberto Gandini, while President Yevgeny Giner will be CSKA’s.
Milan have until September 2nd to close the Honda transfer and if they fail in doing so he’ll definitely join in January but will be cup-tied like Mario Balotelli was when he joined the Rossoneri from Manchester City in the winter transfer market of 2013. Once Honda arrives he’ll sign a contract until 2017 with most likely €2.5m a season wages. In the last days there’ve been talks about Milan looking at alternatives for Honda but it’s unlikely since his arrival, at some point, is a sure thing.
In other transfer market news, Sky Italia‘s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that in the last days Adriano Galliani spoke on the phone with Cagliari’s Massimo Cellino and made an offer for Davide Astori but Cagliari rejected it, deeming it too low.
Someone raised a great point about pacifico, if we sign sakho, where will be space for pacifico? I’ll tell you where his place will be, galliani will send him on loan, and eventually sell him to some mid table team like astori and then when he reaches 27, he’ll expect to buy him back for cheap! Cagliari should not release astori for cheap like galliani is expecting, like always say, we are in this situation because of galliani’s flawed decision making. Galliani has no business dealing with matters on the field like who should be bought, who should be loaned… Read more »
Not just Davide Astori add to that list aubameyang, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Yoann Gourcuff some talents that were part of Milan and now they play for other teams. we were told that the young Nigerian Nnamdi Oduamadi will join 1st team he was spoken about highly even by Gillani but now is no where to be seen!! without giving first team opportunities youngsters can’t progress.. Coppa Italia can be a good nurturing competition for these youngsters!! thats what most major teams do.. they give out run to their youngsters in cups ties or so…
pacifico does noooooot have as much potential as sakho, one friendly game and every goes nuts about pacifico….im sorry you need more than just enthusiasm to be a world class defender these days
But wasn’t Galliani the same guy who brought us Pirlo in the first place? And Seedorf, Weah, Boban, Savicevic, Cassano, Ibra etc. etc. etc. Instead, I think he’s either lost his touch or gone senile.
that guy looks like a better plaayer than traore
it’s said that birsa is one of the best slovenian players alongside handamovic and illicic, so it’s not a bad deal though.
Better him than traore!Valter Birsaa >>> Bakaye Traore
and btw his salary is way much lower than that traore guy!
Why B&G, WHY??? we could have sold traore to anderlecht but no berlusconi just trade in with another player who is 27 years old i wont even be mad if hes 21,22,23 if we have sold traore we probably already have honda/ljajic/eriksen. And if we want to swap players with genoa we better swap with kucka HAH!!
Guys are u kidding me about Eriksen he is really good and young he is what we are looking for he could be our trequartista I think it’s a great fit would love to see him passing to super Mario and El Shaarawy.
Would love to see them get Eriksen, Ljajic, Sakho, and Honda (free)
FORZA MILAN!!!!
4-3-1-2
—————Abbiati—————
Abate–Zapata–Sakho–DeSciglio
——Poli——Ljajic——Montolivo
—————Eriksen—————
——Balotelli——El Shaarawy——
Ever thought about this: ———————————————————————————————- ————Abbiati———— Abate–Sakho–Mexes/Zapata–De Sciglio –Montolivo–DeJong–Eriksen– ————Honda———— —-Balotelli—ElShaarawy—- In my Opinion we should sign Sakho, Honda and Eriksen. With this we had a solid defense, a great midfield, with Poli as high-quality alternative and even rotation within a game, because eriksen and honda can change roles or it´s even possible to shift to 4-3-3 using Honda or Eriksen as RW, so it´s difficult for our oppenent to adjust to our tactics. Moreover two great strikers who have still a lot of potential. Furthermore we would have quite a good depth in our squad. Admittedly i wouldn´t purchase… Read more »

it might be easy to sell birsa before the end of the season than to sell traore because of his wages. no club wants to sign a mediocre with a high wage but selling one with a low wage is easier. i just don’t want to see that traore dude in our shirt anymore.
hmmm….another unwanted player.i thought they said we will reduce the squad to 25? so what inform this exchange?
If we buy Astori, play him as a striker since he always score goals (own goal).
Everyone should remember Milan lost Astori in a blind auction, when Caligari wouldn’t sell their 50%. Milan wanted him back but Cagliari wanted to extend the co-ownership agreement. People need to get their facts right.
..@ forza azzurri… do u evn knw anything about football @ all… check ur suppose formation
we certainly need a couple of good young central defenders plus honda get rid of boateng robinho basically we need defence and goalie
still needs to get rid of dead wood boateng instead of looking in the mirror should concentrate on what he gets paid for he was crap in england we got rid.get rid of high non performing earners put chrisanthe petagne and the young ones in
