MATIAS SILVESTRE is the guy Milan have picked to replace the injured Daniele Bonera, terms have been agreed.
Milan have lost Daniele Bonera to injury and the center back will be out for the next 70-90 days avoiding complications and the Rossoneri have moved quickly to replace the player and are set to sign FC Internazionale’s Matias Silvestre.
Silvestre, who only managed to play 9 Serie A games in the 2012/2013 season, was far from impressive in his one season in blue and black but Milan believe that the player can replace the 32-year-old former Italy national team player.

Sky and GdS report that Vice President Adriano Galliani and Silvestre have already agreed terms this afternoon. Galliani also contacted Inter’s Massimo Moratti and the two are studying the best solution for the transfer: Inter are pushing for a co-ownership deal while Galliani is reportedly interested in making a somewhat trademark loan with option to buy move.
Inter and Milan are expected to find an agreement in the next days. Silvestre will, most likely, be Milan’s 6th center back along with Philippe Mexes, Cristian Zapata, Cristian Zaccardo, Jherson Vergara and the now-injured Daniele Bonera.
Why in heavens name we bought a nearly 30-year old player while we have Vergara in our team already? Just give Vergara a chance instead of buying a replacement for Bonera…

I can’t believe an opportunity comes to buy a great cb and we agree terms with this guy, our transfer season is really poor. We can’t even spend atleast 10 m on a defender, let alone in total this summer while every decent Italian team has spent 20+m

I am a realistic guy ! I say what I see and what I don’t like, and no I’m not a PSG type guy, because I always praised the primavera players ! but we can’t go on just by bringing players from there, we also need transfers made with head not with belly, if we spent just 20 millions on 2 very good guys (Ljajic and Ogbonna) I would’ve been the happiest fan of all !

If we were never gonna by a decent CB why didn’t we just keep Salamon. We signed him in Jan didn’t play one poxy minute and then we turf him out for this season, and bring in a bidone who can’t even get in Inter’s team. Galliani just fired blank with this. All I pray for now is to make him another Inter reject turns successful at Milan. Allegri will bench him whole season though because he will favour Veghara in my opinion.

Allegri didn’t bench Bonera for De Sciglio until he got injured. What makes you think he will bench this veteran for Vergara?
It is funny though, Milan were not willing to give Pirlo, a world class midfielder, more than 1 year as he was above 30. But it was ok for bonera, a mediocre defender, and Zaccardo, an even worse defender.

When he played for Catania and Palermo he looked a decent competant player. He’s also 28 and as with a lot of CB’s they get better with experience. Last season he had a bad season. But Inter as a whole had a bad season, we shouldn’t simply say that he’s a poor defender. Dont judge silvestre before this season begin.. Last season he never get change to play.. But when he played palermo he did well… Remember pirlo amd seedorf when moved to milan… They become succesfull at milan… But this season just realistic target, position 2 or 3 and get ticket champion league… Our rivals more powerfull… Juve and napoli get a world class player and good defender..
