DANIELE BONERA will miss the first months of the season while Robinho could also face some serious time out.

Milan may have won the friendly game against Valencia yesterday but the price was heavy as they lost two players to injury: Daniele Bonera and Robinho and it’s been announced that the former will miss the next three months due to an injury.

Bonera started the game at the Mestalla Stadium but had to leave the pitch in the 72′ minute and was replaced by Cristian Zaccardo. Milan ran some tests today on the 32-year-old center back and the injury turned out to be as serious as thought.

Galliani: “Ola John? I’m worried about Robinho”
De Jong: “I’m proud about my goal, Milan play as a team”

“AC Milan communicate that yesterday during Valencia-Milan Daniele Bonera fractured his right kneecap. Today, following extensive investigation and after having consulted with prof. Herbert Schonhuber, the player opted for conservative treatment, with a prognosis of 70-90 days avoiding any complications,” a statement on Milan’s website read on Sunday.

The statement continued and it was also concerning Robinho who picked up an injury in the 25th minute: “Meanwhile, Robinho suffered a left thigh strain and requires further tests in two weeks to understand the full extent of the injury.”

Injuries are never welcome no matter whom they concern. Get well soon Bonera and Robinho!!! Also, instead of bying some Silvestre or mediocre attacker, i’d rather see Vergara and Petagna in Bonera+Robinho’s place…

Forza Milan!!!

Hopefully this convinces Galliani to buy another defender!

Wasn’t this piece of trash Bonera injured most of last season too?

Begs the question why Galliani gave him a 2-year extension. Yet more money down the drain!

Talk is we’re trying to replace him with Silvestre!? Possibly the only defender worse than Bonera in football.

Hope to God this isn’t true. Why not use Zaccardo or Vergara? What was the point in buying them to warm the bench?

thank god..he is out…not silvestre, zaccardo is much better than him and bonera..

I’m aware some will most likely butcher me for this but I honestly think Bonera is a good back-up. Many people seems to bash him whenever he plays, even when he looks solid. The game against United, Barca and last season’s away games, for instance against (i think Chievo). I even dare to say I see some late-bloomer potential in him, but for now I see him as a good back-up and as a great, humble person who loves the club and is always ready to be called upon (obviously you can say that about any player but in his… Read more »

I completely agree with you. The worst part about this is that we’re probably going to sign Silvestre…
From the beginning of the transfer campaign the target was to bring in ONE quality defender, instead of bringing in Silvestre who is awful, why not focus more on bringing in that one quality defender, honestly, I do not get it?
This move really frustrates me…

ChrisMilan

Completely agree.
