UPDATE: Milan have denied these statements, claiming that “Honorary President Silvio Berlusconi denies to have ever decleared or written anything about A.C. Milan today.”
SILVIO BERLUSCONI has pretty much fired Massimiliano Allegri on Monday evening and revealed there will be changes.
Adriano Galliani said on Monday afternoon that Milan will decide the future of coach Massimiliano Allegri in the next days, most likely on Wednesday, but it seems that President Berlusconi has already made-up his mind and decided to sack Max.
Berlusconi was supposed to a phone interview with Il Processo di Biscardi live on Italian television but it the end Silvio couldn’t do the interview and left a statement for the host of the show to read, in which he dropped some bombs.
Official: Abbiati signs contract extension to 2014
Allegri: “Players and fans deserved it, I have a contract at Milan”
“There will be a complete change in the coaching staff. We will also, if necessary, re-organise the club structure,” wrote the Italian politician and former PM. “After the disastrous start to the season, I met with the Coach and directors to tell everyone this situation had to be overturned. I also specified that the team had to step on to the field with a different tactical set-up.
“The results were seen straight away, starting from the comeback to draw 2-2 with Napoli. From the relegation zone we climbed to 3rd place, earned yesterday by the skin of our teeth.” It seems that Milan are set for more changes this summer.
