El Shaarawy: “The important thing is that the team won” Niang: “Kaka is a great player, we all have to improve”

STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY hopes to team up with Kaka while Giampaolo Pazzini wants to score more.

Milan are moving closer to a place in Europe as they are currently sixth in the Serie A standing (they will stay sixth as long as Roma don’t beat Inter tonight) after beating Bologna 2-1 today at Stadio San Siro.

Giampaolo Pazzini was on target twice for the Rossoneri in a match where Milan attacked well and could’ve scored a few more goals. El Shaarawy didn’t score again but claims the win is more important.

Highlights: Milan 2-1 Bologna
Milan-Bologna: Official line-ups

“Three very important points, as the points from the rest of the games will be as well. We’re very happy with the win and the performance. We created a lot of goal scoring chances,” Stephan El Shaarawy told Milan Channel after the game. “Niang is doing very well, he played well in Genoa against Sampdoria as well.

“We created more than them and that paid off with Pazzini’s goal. I’m happy for Niang. I’m never satisfied. I made some chances and I’m just disappointed I didn’t score but that’s okay and I’m happy with the win. We had an advantage as we had the whole week to prepare for the game. I would have preferred to score if I’m honest but the performance was pleasing. We’ll now think of the next game and of getting the next points.

“The important thing is that the team won and if it’s me who scores or someone else, that’s not important. I think Constant is a great player and he put in a great performance today. He’s great qualities and there’s a good understanding between us and with Boateng on the left,” he added. “I really hope that the deal for Kaka goes through. He was always my hero and playing alongside him would be a dream come true.”

One player who has been particularly impressive in the last two games for Milan is M’Baye Niang. The 18-year-old played from the start against Sampdoria and Bologna and was one of the best players.

“I’m happy to have made my debut in Serie A and I’m happy with the result as well. El Shaarawy and I worked hard for the team here today, we did well and we won. We all have to improve and every day we work hard at that,” said Niang, whose only goal for Milan came in the Coppa Italia. “Kaka is a great player and if he came, that would definitely be a good thing. Balotelli would bring experience to the club as well.”

One surprise start was the one of Mathieu Flamini, who featured in less than 10 Milan games this term, was preferred over Antonio Nocerino in midfield. He was subbed off for Bakaye Traoré later in the game.

“Personally, I’m very happy with my performance and of course for the win, it was really important. I think we have to stay focused on ourselves and work hard. Against Atalanta for the next game will be anything but easy,”  the former Arsenal and France national team player told Milan Channel after the Bologna match.

“It’s useful to have the whole week to work before the game as you can prepare well and you can see that on the pitch. We created a lot. Ricky is a champion and if he comes back, that’s a positive thing for us.”

The star of the clash between Milan and Bologna was again Pazzini. After scoring a hat-trick earlier this season to beat the Rossoblù he today scored the 2 goals that won the match. “I’m happy, everyone here treats me well. They’ve always shown faith in me and I’m happy when I can repay this faith,” Pazzo said.

“I’ve been able to work well for the last few weeks. I’m happy because my performance was decisive. I hope I can continue to score big goals and help the team towards important objectives. We had a good first half but we didn’t score. The second goal was better than the first but the first allowed us to open the game up. It’s important for me to do well for Milan because the club believed in me and if I can repay that by scoring then that’s great. I’m on 10 goals even if I haven’t always played and have had a couple of injuries.

“Niang has very important qualities. As he’s young, he needs to learn tactically, but that’s normal. We’re all on his side though. I’ve done well against Bologna this season. Riccardo Montolivo (who played the regista role today) is a strong player, very intelligent and he can play in that role in front of the defense We’re all very curious to see if Kakà will come. If he does he’ll be welcomed with open arms and he’ll help us out.

“I think a lot about the national team and if I score enough, the coach will have to call me up. It’ll be a tough match in Bergamo as Atalanta at home is a tough team to face,” concluded the 28-year-old Milan forward.

Since Madrid is on board for the loan move, it appears that Kaka simply wont take a pay cut. I find this strange that Kaka wouldn’t take a wage cut considering he’s not worth what he used to be and he’s a Christian. I really wish he would come, but it’s not in my hands.

Kuchini

Galliani is quoted by football italia to have said dat d deal has broken down.

Bravo Galliani!
Bravo!

Now time for One or Two panic buys.
I wouldn’t even b surprised if no one arrives.

I just pity Allegri.
A great man, indeed.

Ladon

Our market is closed

Kuchini

I just try to think of any Coach better than Allegri that would stomach all the nonsense happening at Via Turati.
SMH!

Forza1899Milan

I really don’t understand B&G’s antics. They get the fans’ hopes up only to crush them. “Kaka can’t come because of taxation”?? You know how the taxation works Galliani. It did not change overnight. It’s as if Galliani wants to make it look like they really want to please the fans but cannot. Stop crushing the hearts of your fans. Mr. X was not cool and neither were the numerous times you said you were trying to bring Kaka back. Just admit that you’re broke and we aren’t going to sign quality players anymore!

Kuchini

If i was Allegri, with all the hate and insults hurled at me since d start of d season, i would just terminate my contract and step aside, So i can see d magician that would turn our fortunes around.

The funny thing is, all the sport blogs who have ran an analysis on Milans season, says all our problems come from Via Turati, but the best minds on this blog, would always say it is- Allegri.

jibola

I have never trusted Galiani. Kaka was disappointed because he has agreed to Milan’s wage cut more so, he has been bashed by the media since he declared his love to return to Milan last week. Now he would return to Madrid sadly. BnG have lost every respect, they are animals who don’t deserve to be at Milan again, they are anti rossoneri and would never be useful again. I don’t care what anybody feel but this is the truth. Old idiots

acbaba

Broke?.wher is d €63 de got 4 ibra nd silva.d €15 4 pato?.gosh!am pisd off.balance d books my a**.i pity milan,d num of empty seats at d stadium wil sky rocket.it wud hav bin beta if he hadn’t said anytin about kaka

acbaba

thats not including there wages gone and all the old players that left milan wages

and your telling me we carnt bring in a couple of quality players ? i mean look at our defence, its horrible.
where’s all the money gone ?

Kuchini

@acbaba, civilisation is alien to you, my friend.

You better learn how to think and how to express urself.
I have told u, if u can’t stand my comments, ignore it.
I don’t attack u wen u make comments. Do i?

Or is it that u just love being so antagonistic.

Juninho

The negotiatiosn for Kaká is over.

He wil stay in Madri.

Kuchini

I wouldn’t waste my time bothering myself abt Gallianis games.

I have been baffled at it for years now and this really isn’t a shock to me.

Bt as d season progresses and things aren’t going well, fans feel its easy blaming d coach n ignoring d management.

That is what vexes me.
Not this news.

kelvin

Why is it sooo hard to sign Kaka?!…I just don’t get it. They keep bringing up the “taxation” issue, even after the sales of Ibrah and Thiago we still can’t get over this hurdle of “taxation”????

jibola

I think fans should now completely desert San siro, something drastic and crazy has to be done, the fans must make their voice heard and these pigs must be shown hatred as they have no love in their hearts.

Ouch!

B&G actually make me sick! With just how unbelievably cheap they are and the consistent lies to the fans!!!!!!!!! The fans that regularly attend Milan games should do something about this.

I mean why bring the fans hopes sky high only to just smash it to pieces?!! PLUS THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE DONE THIS EITHER!! God I am getting pissed with these two old fools destroying this club.

greg

Allegri certainly isnt good enough to coach Milan but I’m getting even more sick of Galliani blowing it time & time again

nana fynn

Kaka wont come to milan, our market is closed.we are covered in all areas,we will stay as we are,Balotelli?,he is a city player so he will stay there.

Ouch!

We never seem to hear about this fiscal, taxation bollocks of an excuse anywhere in the world when it comes to a transfer, we only happen to hear this from Italy, what’s even more annoying is the city of Milan! the Red n Black side of Milan!!! God I hate Galliani soo much!!!!!! Galliani go do us all a favor and just kill ur self u scum!!

Kuchini

Anyway, its not all doom and gloom.

There are 10days or so remaining before d market closes.

If Galliani has his mind set on this move or anyother big move, he would definitely succeed.
He is d shrewdest businessman i know.

Jst that, one wonders wat’s up with him, of late.

Forza1899Milan

Yeah there are 10 days left and no one other than Pato has been sold. That really scares me.

greg

I wonder if they’ve even considered the financial upside of signing Kaka. Shirt sales, stadium attendance and the overall image of the club improve by having a proper superstar like Kaka in the team. Plus, without Kaka there’s virtually no chance of making the Champions League and all that money that comes with it, with Kaka (a player who can actually PASS and has an unbelievably accurate long range shot) we would have at least had a shot.

acbaba

Kuchini

Oh! The learned true Milan fan, can u tell me wat’s wrong with d sentence u just quoted?

Was it ‘who’ dat ought to b a ‘whom’?

I am so surprised u are using d spellings on a blog to determine who is educated or not!
Well, was i xpecting any better!

For ur info, other than italian, i speak 3 foreign languages fluently n my English, both spoken and written, is perfect!

SMH!

Milan fan

Yet again G an B broke their promise. No big name arrived,no young talented players arrived,we just sell players that are worth anything, cash in and spend nothing. I guess Berlu’s wh*res are more expensive and more important than Milan.

Abbey

Lols…instead of pouring out your fury on each other, why not just go up there and burn via turati to the ground? :/

acbaba
