CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM in the camps of Milan and Inter regarding the Cassano and Pazzini swap deal.
A very busy day for Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani in the transfer market. After meetings regarding Djamel Mesbah and M’Baye Niang, Galliani focused on the possible trade with Inter: Cassano-Pazzini.
Galliani admitted last night after the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi, which Milan lost to Juventus 2-3, that Cassano has asked him to leave Milan this summer and noted that the likeliest solution would be a swap.

Cassano has reportedly agreed his Inter terms already and talked on the phone with Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni with whom he has a good relationship. Pazzini’s agent Tullio Tinti met with Galliani in Milan’s headquarters on Monday afternoon to try and find an agreement over the player’s salary in red and black.
“An agreement with Milan? Absolutely not,” Tinti told the press, but according to the rumours, the player is expected to sign a four-year deal with Milan worth €2.5 million a season which is the same amount he currently makes as a player of Inter. “Pazzini is still a player of Inter and he’s under a contract which we will respect,” he added. Inter director Marco Branca confirmed “Pazzini has been on the market for some time.”
Branca also suggested that “Galliani did not meet me” and they asked about Cassano but “there are no news.“ Galliani may have not seen Branca, but he had a meeting earlier this evening with Inter president Massimo Moratti regarding the swap. Moratti returned from Forte dei Marmi especially for this meeting.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports of ‘cautious optimism’ on both sides regarding the deal while Sportmediaset reports an agreement is close to be found between the sides and the Cassano-Pazzini exchange will happen. Mediaset believes the deal could be sealed and announced within 48 hours. Silvio Berlusconi has reportedly approved the exchange last night over dinner with Galliani and boss Massimiliano Allegri.
Cassano didn’t want to stay at Milan and is now close to moving for the side he supported as a child. Pazzini is what Milan were looking for but they will have to pay in order to get him. Since the valuations of Cassano and Pazzini are different, Milan will have to add money (around €5-10m) in order to sign him.
Milan lose yet another star player this summer after the sales of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, and of course the exits of the old guard. The summer still has 11 days in it and Galliani certainly has time.
Just get it over with!

Calciomercato.com reports that Inter may not be the only club AC Milan is willing to do a player exchange with.
As the deal for Kaka stutters to a halt, the Rossoneri are interested in bringing in AS Roma’s Bojan Krkic while sending Philippe Mexes back to his former club.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is still locked in talks with Madrid, who want compensation for the Brazilian should he go out on loan while the Rossoneri want any loan to be free.
If that deal break down, Milan could look to Bojan as an alternative.

Bojan is not a great alternative to Kaka but I like him…he’s very sharp and quick…..as for Pazzini, uh well if he’s coming I guess we just have to see what he’s made out of when/if he gels with the team…who knows, he could surprise all you that are against him
Personally I can’t wait for this Cassano to leave. Clearly he plays for Zlatan and not for AC Milan (in fact, there was a point when Cassano passed only to Zlatan and Zlata only to Cassano). Pazzini has way too many haters, I don’t think people know of his quality and what he’s capable of, anyone who saw him play in his Sampdoria days knows that he was one of Italy’s most feared strikers. I actually wanted him more than Cassano during those days, at Milan.
If Cassano is acting the way he is, then fine I have no problems with this deal, especially if Pazzini can find his best form – and of course improve even further from that. Hopefully he will. Too bad he didn’t get the chance to play alongside Super Pippo though.
What should be done after Cassano moves to Inter and Pazzini joins us:
1)Kolarov didn’t play for city today.I think we can get him in the last week of August or give Vila his chance till January.
2)Fernando from Porto may be available on loan with option to buy. He would be amazing for the DM role. We could go for Gargano as plan B.
3)Add G.Rossi to the attack.
4)If Mexes leaves, then get Mbiwa.
5)Extra: If we can hijack Sahin’s move that would be perfect or just get Kaka.
vila won’t play much till january since he is expected to recover from his groin injury between october and december.

@sharaawy What are they doing with the money they got from the sale of ibra and silva. They can atleast spend 25mil on 3 quality players. Milan shd be serious b’cos the team is depreciating whiles other teams are appreciating.
