ADRIANO GALLIANI confirms there are negotiations in place with Inter over a Cassano-Pazzini swap.
The rumours regarding an exchange between Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini are now confirmed as Adriano Galliani reveals the player has handed in a request to leave the club this summer.
Milan have already sold Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain so Cassano will be the third ‘champion’ to leave. Galliani confirms there are negotiations with Inter over the 30-year-old.
“I can see the people following us are more interested in the market than the Berlusconi Trophy,” Milan Vice President and CEO Galliani said after the game. “There are two weeks left in the market, we’ll see what happens. We’ll talk with President Berlusconi and Coach Allegri, consider things and make a decision.
“There are negotiations in place, there is no doubt about that, and we will see. As with all negotiations, they can conclude positively or negatively. I will not deny something is stirring.” Milan President Berlusconi decided not to comment on this piece of exchange, saying “I know nothing about it.” What clear is that Cassano, whose career could’ve been over if it wasn’t for Milan and their doctors, wants to leave, and fast.
“Antonio has asked to leave and be transferred,” Galliani added to Milan Channel. “The most likely hypothesis is that of an exchange. We’ll see how it ends.” The swap would include Pazzini and Cassano who played together at Sampdoria and were a great striking force. They are both unhappy at their clubs.
There seem to be confusion over who gets money plus a player in the media but it appears that Milan will have to give Inter Cassano plus cash for Pazzini. Milan’s fans meanwhile, feel let down by Fantantonio.
