Montolivo to be fit for Trofeo Berlusconi

RICCARDO MONTOLIVO and Massimo Ambrosini will reportedly be fit in time to face Juventus.

Milan will try to change the bad impression they made in the last game against Real Madrid in New York on Sunday evening, after losing 5-1 to Mourinho’s boys who were 2-3 steps above them in terms of quality.

The Rossoneri finish their rather-successful pre-season on Sunday, when they take on Serie A champions and new Supercoppa Italiana champions Juventus for a match at Stadio San Siro for the Berlusconi trophy.

Reports: Milan put Mexes on the market

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan will have Riccardo Montolivo fit for this game. Montolivo missed the Real Madrid clash due to an injury and was also left out of Italy’s squad for the match against England tomorrow night (21:00 CET) but the sports newspaper claims that the Italian will be fit to play from the start.

In addition to Montolivo, Massimo Ambrosini will also return in time for the game after picking up an injury against Los Blancos. Meanwhile in defense, Francesco Acerbi and Daniele Bonera are expected to start the game for Milan. Philippe Mexes, who’s linked with an exit, and new signing Cristian Zapata are still behind the rest of the team in terms of preparations for the new season but could be given playing time.

The Milan players who are not with their national team (Abate, De Sciglio, Acerbi, Nocerino, El Shaarawy, Emanuelson, Yepes) have been given three days off (starting yesterday). Training resumes on Thursday.

zino

hope he doesnt get prone to injuries, cos he has a big role to play in the rossoneri colours

sansiro

To u all pls avoid injuries, the leaque is around the corner.

Kuchini

Off topic guyz! Isn’t it weird that Inzaghi got a coaching job and Maldini didn’t? Which was more a Legend and deserved it? And which did we really need to groom our youngsters?

Signor Eskola

I have to say it again: Maldini was offered a coaching role from Milan but he didn’t accept it. Probably he wanted to take a break away from the game, not every player have an over 20-year career so I can understand why he wanted a break…

Olalekan Mojeed

It seems as if he is not in a coaching line

Great news, hopefully by then we have signed a new player as well… I hope to see Zapata and Mexes play their part too, in centre of defence, I’d like to see Acerbi, but I don’t know who I want to partner him. Mexes or Zapata… his ideal partner would be Yanga-Mbiwa, but we’ll have to wait for next season probably. Anyhow, nice to have Monti and Ambro back!
Keep the faith!
Forza Milan!

Jo Milano

Who cares about Berlusconi trophy??? Doesnt make any friggin difference to me. Just another avenue for injuries! LET EM SIGN GOOD PLAYERS! Thats all I care about!

jibola

I hope we lose this again because next week would be crucial to our market and if we win, Galiani will come up with “we are competitive enough” statement.

monty is gonna star for milan, as for bonera acerbi theey are just bak ups, not starting 11 players. So we need new players big time,…..:……:….:…..:

Happy monti is back but as for ambrosini i dont wish he recover cus he is a peace of junk.let pray zapata and acerbi find good form 4 milan and we should be complete wit rosi and kaka.

milanfan

ambrosini is a piece of junk? you don’t wish that he recovers? are you even a human? how can you say that you don’t want your team’s captain to recover from an injury? actually, how can you say that about anyone at all?

nikhil

bad news juvenus got good squad there management signed good player

good news conte out for 10 month

so there is a hope that juventus wont be this year champion

kelvin

Dudes not a milanist!!!…seems like the Kaka saga is all but perished

Gioele Romeo

can anyone tell me how acerbi played against real madrid last week?
before he was subbed

DREDD

adex man, to say that is rong dude. i wish ambro recovers, full strength, he may hav problems on the field, but he is a milanista, a human being. so plz. be respectful, with that attitude, this world is over.

B&G are delusional. Current seasons ticket subscription is still at 19300, while it was 31000 last season. The record for the San Siro was 71000 in 1992 so how else would they understand our displeasure? obviously they dont care anymore.

milanfan

they’re building for the future while it seems like most milan fans are more concerned about the present. atm it’s a difference of ideologies, and refusal of some fans to understand. also, the transfer season isn’t even over. i think milan fans in general should be more patient.
