MATTIA DE SCIGLIO, Stephan El Shaarawy and Francesco Acerbi are all delighted with Prandelli’s call.
Five Milan players have been called-up to Italy’s squad to face England on Wednesday. Italy boss Cesare Prandelli, who led the Azzurri to the Euro 2012 final two months ago, took a squad of very young players.
Many of the players Prandelli took could make their international debut: three of them are from Milan – Francesco Acerbi, Stephan El Shaarawy and Mattia De Sciglio, with Mattia being a youth product of Milan.

Zapata: “If I work hard – I’ll do well at Milan”
“It’s good news, I’d say very unexpected news,” De Sciglio’s agent, Donato Orgnoni told CalcioNews24 on Sunday. “We thought at first of the hypothesis of the Under21, but eventually the call from the Nazionale Maggiore (senior Italy national team) came. Mattia is growing in front of our eyes and we’re all happy.
“5 Milan players have been called-up? In this time when Milan are being much criticized, this is a positive thing for Milan. If Prandelli is right to focus on young people? He’s always believed in young players.” Prandelli called-up a very young squad which includes Mattia Perin from Pescara, Ezequiel Schelotto from Atalanta, Mattia Destro from Roma, Andrea Poli from Sampdoria, Marco Verratti from Psg and many others.
“It’s a great satisfaction, we are happy and we hope it is the first call of many,” said Stephan El Shaarawy’s agent Roberto La Florio to TMW. “He hopes to do well in these two years to get to the World Cup in Rio.”
Acerbi’s agent, Andrea Cattoli also reacted to the call-up. “Acerbi was very happy. The desire of every football is to play for the national team,” Cattoli said to the website Milannews.it. “Acerbi’s first objective is to play well for Milan; the national team must be a consequence. But the priority will always remain Milan.”
In addition to De Sciglio, Acerbi and El Shaarawy, Ignazio Abate and Antonio Nocerino have also been included in Italy’s squad for the England match. Urby Emanuelson and Mario Yepes are all on duty.

Dat is a good news for milan dat is called up.i wish them good luck

thats 31 players. we will be having 25-26. so take out didac vila, flamini, one of m’baye niang or rossi(doubt milan would get both) and dont include strasser and muntari as they are both injured. i predict one of traore, flamini or constant will be disposed of in january. also we can disclude mexes maybe but that reduces us to the required amount of players. squad will need to step up if we are to challenge for scudetto, not sure about CL
I beleive Constant’s going to be a huge hit at Milan.
He looked very impressive and sharp when I watched him in the second half in NY.
Good news i which my stephan acerbi sciglio gud lock i hope shaarawy start the game
As reports state: if Milan decide to sign Rossi it’ll be a loan deal with a buy-out clause….forza Ac Mi-Loan!!!! Lol, loan or no loan I’ll be happy to see him in the team
I suggest Milan let go players like Mesbah, Kostant, traore and Amelia while they still can for the betterment of the team. Robinho and cassano are too inconsistent. Milan at this point need dynamic players not just technical players.
As an italian i dont like the part when acerbi’s agent said “Acerbi’s first objective is to play well for Milan; the national team must be a consequence. But the priority will always remain Milan”, i think it should be the other way around for footballers.
National Team doesn’t give you a salary to feed yourself or your family.
I wish them good luck through out their entire international duty
No wonder the super eagles never do well for Nigeria.
I’d like to agree, I think Constant is going to be a huge hit also….he’s very composed and we need composed players in our team
u guys really think so? he hasnt impressed me so far, hope im wrong though. hes a versatile player and at 25 can offer a lot. I think our entire team needs a boost via a signing or some sort of confidence boost. Smashing Juve for the Berlusconi trophy could help, but if that happens Galliani might not sign anyone and say our team is “complete”. Honestly though, expect a very busy last week of August. Mesbah, Didac Vila, Mexes and maybe even Flamini or Traore might be transferred. I predict Cassano or Robinho might just leave though(probably the former).… Read more »
according to CdS we’ll try to sign Rossi in January. i think that’s a hint to one of robinho, fantantonio leaving in winter
thi can only be good for milan and the players. They need the confidence at this point in time.
Mesbah will go to Palermo and Mexes may go to Arsenal. May KPB will go to Anzhi if Milan sell him for 28M Euro. Milan doesn’t buy Niang. No Strasser and Muntari until January. Rossi may come in January. Yanga Mbiwa will come next summer. The squad will be 25 for Serie-A and Champions League.
