Santos: “No negotiations for Robinho”

SANTOS have denied that there are negotiating with Milan for Robinho who’s linked with an exit.

Milan’s clearout could continue with an exit of Robinho, the Italian media reports on Saturday. After Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who are expected to go to Paris Saint-Germain, it could be Robinho’s turn.

Binho’s 2011-2012 season was not quite impressive as he was inconsistent and barely scored. The Brazilian attacker is now linked with an exit, and Santos, his hometown club, are believed to be interested.

According to Globesporte, Santos are prepared to kick off negotiations with Milan for Robinho. The Brazilian mercato ends in six days (July 20) and Santos are hoping they can land Binho on loan. The Brazilian source suggests they will offer the promising ‘keeper Rafael for a reduced price in exchange.

“I think that Rafael is a great goalkeeper. If Robinho could arrive without the exit of Rafael, it’d be excellent,” Santos boss Muricy Ramalho is quoted as saying. “Rafael will return even better after the Olympic Games. We’d of course welcome Robinho to Santos, but it’s important we won’t be losing Rafael.”

“We need reinforcements, but there is nothing going on with regard to Robinho. He’s a good player who we’d welcome but he feels well at Milan and he’s currently having a pre-season with them,” stated Santos Vice President Muricy Ramalho, denying talks with Milan for the former Real Madrid star. “Rafael feels well here at Santos. We spoke with Milan about Rafael in January, be we have never received an official offer.”

Globesporte says that Milan’s consultant in Brazil, Serginho, believes Milan are in fact interested in Rafael, but only for the 2013/2014 season. Milan have already signed a goalkeeper from Brazil, Gabriel, who will be the Rossoneri’s third choice. It’s said, though, that Milan could buy Rafael and loan him out for a year.

Robinho meanwhile continues to train hard at Milan with the rest of the teammates at the training complex Milanello. It’s not clear what Milan intentions about him are but “everything is possible” in the market.

Robinho can stay unless we could get good Cash or Ganso for him or even Rafael if Amelia is leaving.

Yepes, Bonera, Mexes, Acerbi, and Silva.
With Silva leaving we will need 1 to 2 extra CBs as Yepes is injured half of the season, Mexes could be banned with his aggressiveness, and Bonera can’t be a starter all season.Acerbi will hopefully be a good starter. Ogbonna should be our main target and Astori/Kyriakos should be our other targets and we should get 2 if Mexes leaves.

Robinho should stay. He’s a backup for the attack as he rarely gets injured & he’s is the only player in our attack that can dribble well & get hold of the ball. He’s so good in keeping possesion due to his dribble & 1/2 passes. Besides no club will cash 15M for him, so it’s better he stays. As far as am concerned TSilva sould stay but Ibra should go. Below are some of the reasons why IBRA should go: (1)- with him, the squad is so rigid. that no one displays his talents but him. (2)- all the… Read more »
