SULLEY MUNTARI says he’ll be playing again before January but denies salary-cut reports.
Sulley joined Milan on loan from Inter and he’ll sign a two-year deal when the mercato opens and his deal with Inter expires. He won’t be able to play for months after a knee injury but hopes to return quickly.
Muntari hit himself on vacation while playing with friends and he’ll therefore serve 5-6 months out of action and the Milan management, with Adriano Galliani in particular, are believed to be furious with the man.
Pato: “I’ll stay until 2014, afterwards – who knows?”
Agent: “Milan want to keep El Shaarawy”
“I feel well both physically and mentally. I’m recovering well and my only objective is to return even stronger than before,” he said. “I didn’t get injured while playing for Ghana. It happened during a match with my friends last week. It was during the days that I was beginning to do the personal training schedule.
“I only played for 20 minutes before the problem occurred, but I didn’t think that the injury would be that bad. I didn’t get injured while playing on the beach. It’s also because I can’t swim. The injury occurred on a normal football pitch, and it wasn’t because of a tackle. My leg simply twisted in an unnatural way while I was kicking the ball. I was unlucky. I still wake up at night thinking; ‘how the hell could this happen to me?’
“I immediately called one of Milan’s doctors when I got injured. The club has been very close to me during this episode. Galliani has every right to be angry. I’m one of his players and he never wanted to hear news like that. In any case, I spoke with Galliani before the surgery and he told me to stay calm and that he would wait for me,” Muntari added. Milan have signed Kevin Constant from Genoa in order to replace him.
“A pay cut? No, I’ve never heard any talk about that. It’s up to the club to decide if they want to give me a fine or not. I certainly didn’t hurt myself on purpose. I’m the first one to be sad and disappointed about what has happened. Now I’m only interested in returning to playing again. I will be ready before January.
“I know my body and I can speed up the recovery time a bit. I want to give it my all for this club that has always been close to me and that has given me a new and magnificent life as a footballer. I can’t wait to play for Milan again. This is the worst injury of my career and it will also be the last one. Next season we [the team] need to avoid making any more mistakes. We want to win everything and make the fans enjoy it.”
Muntari has played 13 games for Milan in all competitions, scoring 3 goals – 4 actually if you count the ghost goal against Juventus which may have cost Milan the Scudetto. Muntari now focuses on recovering.

Goodluck on your recovery process, but Its really sad to get injured that way
Get well soon, Muntari. Also, here’re some news/reports/rumors CdS reports that Guangzhou Evergrande are offering Kaka a 3 year contract worth 18mil a year. CdS also reports that Milan will try to sign Yarmolenko in the summer of 2013, since his contract expires in december 2013 San Siro generated 7million for us last year, which is a lot more than it did the year before. The objective for the coming season is to increase the revenue by 10% Also, El Shaarawy gave an interview in which he said that he would like to play a few more games next season,… Read more »
Meytar, I would like you to call him Sulley GHOSTGOAL Muntari, if that makes you and others happy, Even if that ghost goal was considered we still lost to Juve by a point, remember they were top of the table only with a mere 4 point lead, So the draw with Fiorentina is hurting more than the ghost goal. Lets get over with this mate, You can’t just keep saying that Milan lost the title because of that Ghost goal. This is part of Football and we were second last season If Matri’s goal in the same game was allowed… Read more »
Calm down mate, he said ‘may have’. Juventus were better than Milan throughout the entire season and deserved to win the Scudetto and Meytar knows it (he said so many times on Twitter).
And please, don’t confuse an offside with a ghost goal, totally different as Muntari’s ball was 1 meter into the goal and the ref missed it… but no need crying over that of course.
Anyway, quick recovery Muntari.
You cant add a MAY HAVE after IT IS. My point is that it’s done let’s not keep talking about it every time we mention Muntari, Every time you write an article about Pato you can’t keep saying that he scored the fastest goal against Barca or Robinho missing sitters or Ibra going AWOL or Abate & Nesta committing silly fouls against Barca, there is lot more than that. Similarly we hate when Liverpool keep talking about how they came back 3 down to beat Milan a few years ago, Actually people find false comfort in saying IF THIS WOULD HAVE… Read more »
He didn’t. It says ‘which may have cost’. Muntari hasn’t done anything else notable unlike Pato or Robinho and they needed to write a few lines after the long interview. Please cut down on the caps lock it’s hurting the eyes and it makes you sound vulgar.
In general I agree with you though.
I totally agree with you, and laelty I’ve been loving so much men’s fashion! These pictures are amazing, tso fresh! And well, their style is fun and bold. (:
ysae the truth remains that had the goal stood the league would have gone either way but one certainty remains that juve would not have gone unbeaten
get ur calculations right, if they had counted d goal milan would b level on points.(add three points to milan, remove one point frm jube).nt dat we would have won it bt still gt ur facts right.
we wouldn’t ben level with them because u can only add 2 points for us.
We can’t calculate what is already done, how hard and difficult is that to understand. I am aware it is a six-pointer but then what can we do about it,If Milan had to win all the games and lost one against Juve we would have been champions by a huge Margin. If Juve had to lose all the games and draw with Milan still we would have won by a huge Margin. But you cant use your IF knowledge and calculation to try and win what we already lost.
why was he giving 3m a yr in the first place, he shud be earning 1.8 to 2m per season
