Pato: “I’ll stay until 2014, afterwards – who knows?”

ALEXANDRE PATO can’t say whether he’ll stay beyond his current contract and eyes more trophies.

Pato is often called ‘the future of Milan’ but it has been ages since the player was up to the level he can be at as he’s suffered from many injuries and just couldn’t find any consistency in the 2011/2012 season.

‘The Duck’ has a contract for two more years with the shirt of Milan with which he’s scored 61 goals in 142 appearances in all competitions but can’t commit to a longer future and admits Premier League attraction.

Agent: “Milan want to keep El Shaarawy”

“I love English football. I have friends who play for Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United,” Pato told the famous British tabloid The Sun on Tuesday. “At the moment I have a real taste for playing in the UK, being in London with one month to go before the Olympics. My priority is to finish my contract in Milan.

“I have a lot to thank them for and my focus is to continue doing what I do, to bring joy to the fans in Milan and continue my contract until 2014. And then afterwards, who knows?” The forward joined Milan in 2008.

Pato also spoke about the upcoming Olympics with Brazil in London where he hopes to deliver a medal and about training and playing alongside England legend David Beckham when Becks was at Milan. It remains to be seen what will be Pato’s role in the plans of Allegri and first and foremost he’s to stay fit.

sell him this summer after a great performance at olympics, we only want players who want to defend the shirt until death(unfortunately, very few of them left in football today)

Baffa

Up Pato!!! We like you so much. Hope you’ll do much much this season

Ugochukwu Gerald

Pato is a very good player but his problem is that he is prone to injury, as long as he stays fit he(pato) can be an asset to any team at any particular point in time or period. Forza! Alexandre Pato, Forza!! AC-Milano, Forza!!! Italia.

Nuradeen

Am proud of you pato, but i dont think u can defend the name M!LAN coz u have no legacy.

milanfan

there’s no player who has a legacy at the age of 22. he can still make one for himself though, he has tme.

Pato will stay bcoz he is one of our key player.p

ink

i sometimes wander if our mediocres like bonera ,antonini etc are more loyal than our stars!!!i guess something is wrong in the mgt nowdays.

Abubakar elburner

Shevchenko was a gud example,u saw wat changing clubs did to him,u can go to hell,we dnt need players like u,milan need players dat hv passion just like rino

Kwabena Adu

They should have sold him long time ago,61 goals in 142 appearance, this is nothing special comparing him to Falcao,Messi or C.Ronaldo is very funny
He doesn’t play for the shirt but for cucci
People worship him for no reason

julio

pato has a better goals per game ratio than messi and ronaldo when they were 23. he has potential to win the ballon dor

Although Many fans keep talking about Milan and loyalty, The club is doing what they want to do and in their way. Seriously the financial crisis is bigger than Milan or Serie A. Milan and Italy really can’t afford to attract player from other leagues or try to keep their best players. B&G are still managing the club like they did in the past decade. The world has changed and lot of things have happened from then. They should understand its a Money world now and everything is done for considerable remuneration. Those fans who always talk about loyalty ,… Read more »

y sae 2 ekam… Beautifully said. Lov it. We r all looking for something more special, different. And pato is no different. I just hope 1 day seria a changes rolls with the times the way its goin. It wont last. Teams like milan inter roma wont compete as u can already c. Juve is the only 1 moving forward. If u cant lead u follow.

Di Stefano

The only reason why Pato has not left is becoz of Barbara. They are very few players in our team who actually love the rossoneri shirt. This team would start wining the champions league again if we signed people who are like Maldini, Inzaghi and Gatusso.

Ouch!

What I would like to see Uncle fester do is bring in Cigarini for the regista. I think he is a great choice as he is a great playmaker who is also very good at tackling. These two attribute will fit nicely for our regista position. Not only his quality is important but also the fact that he is Italian which I like and he is a bench warmer for Napoli for some weird reason, which should make it fairly easy for Galliani to bring him in. I also like the idea of selling Robinho and replacing him with Dzeko,… Read more »

Di Stefano

@dredd. Yep i agree. There was one point when Italian teams especially Milan where highly respected and feared around Europe. The fans too should make the league interesting. Some stadiums dont even sell out during their team’s home games. Hope we will see some changes next season.

caleb

What was gallani and allegri thinking when they let pirlo leave?

Stephan Kareem El Shaawary

I laughed last night to all those experts who wrote here on this blog that Pirlo is average ahahahha, yeah and Allegri definatly needs to be fired cause he gave Scudeto to Juve:)

Afanofmilan

Pirlo is not average . But in his last season wit us, he was . He wasnt motivated .

Afanofmilan

Im not so sure bout cigarini . He has d same problem wit monty . Inconsitent n havnt taken their game to the next level . Pirlo has destroyed mf for italy . Aqua , monty , cigarini all showed promise but didnt rily lived up to it

Milanest

Hope he has a really good next season and decides to renew with us until 2017

milanfan

to those of you who want Astori in Milan, i just read that Spartak Moscow are offering Cagliari up to 15mil for him

Pa ibra

it was milan who first disrespected the boy by trying to sale him to low PSG. obviously he will feel he needs to consider his future as the club never valued him anymore. Whats wrong with you people saying “we dont need unloyal players at milan” whilst its milan who are acting selfish all the. if youre broke then sale the club easy, not the stars

Opinion Varies

Sure thing….he feels he needs to consider his future as the club never valued him anymore because a season never comes by when you get to see him play 60% of Milan games. How would you feel when you pay an employee of yours every month-but he rarely shows up to work?

Plus Milan showed no signs of disrespect towards Pato.He Pato wanted to join Ancelotti in PSG on account of Allegri not showing any signs of DADDY love…WHAT A CRY-BABY.

tito

sell him and buy tevez hahahahahahaa.

vicnasnaija

why can’t u guys 4get abt pirlo n stop blaming allegri 4 his leaving to juve.He didn’t agree to milan’s new policy of a one yr renewal 4 players 30 yrs n above.so stop blaming allegri.if u luv pirlo so much, den go support juve.abeg leave us make we hear word,u hear ba?

Warri Naija

TRUTH!
The truth is there is no joy in keeping pato anymore because of his abnormal injuries and relentless in tacklin balls even if he picks form this season, he will fall the next season so thank GOD he has opened his transfer with his comment. Pato can never be the FUTURE, EL SHARAAWY is for now.

Opinion Varies

You spot on….!

Glad he’s showing signs of wanting to ditch Milan-now my admiration for him ends here.
