THE 38th week of Serie A has passed; here are the results of all the games and the standings.
The Serie A 2011/2012 is officially: we have the champions – the unbeaten Juventus – and the places for the Champions League and the Europa League are confirmed, so are the teams that will play in Serie B.
All games took part on Sunday. Fiorentina and Cagliari ended their season with a draw at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Milan-bound Riccardo Montolivo did not take part in the game because he’s out with an injury.
Highlights: Milan 2-1 Novara
Milan-Novara: Official line-ups
Milan said goodbye to many legends on Sunday at San Siro and it couldn’t be better. Novara got the lead first but Filippo Inzaghi completed Milan’s comeback to win the game on his 300th and last appearance with the red & black. Alexander Del Piero also scored in his farewell Juventus game against Atalanta.
Bojan Krkic inspired Roma to victory against Cesena, 2-3. Parma beat Bologna. Genoa secured their spot in Serie A next season with a 2-0 win over Palermo, when Chievo defeated Lecce 1-0 to relegate the Lupi.
The race for third place was down to the wire and Udinese were the big winners, with a super victory over Catania. Udinese will try to qualify to the Champions League group stage. Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Siena was not enough for them and so wasn’t Lazio’s 3-1 win over Inter at the Olimpico, which sent Inter to EL.
