ADRIANO GALLIANI insists Gennaro Gattuso will not leave Milan in January and states that Milan is not a hotel where you can check-out whenever you want.
The vice president has quashed reports claiming Rino is on the way out of San Siro. An early report in il Corriere dello Sport suggested that Gattuso has said no to Milan new contract-offer, and he is set to leave for English future.
The rapport between the 31-years-old midfielder who has been with Milan for 11 years has been cracked this season, when Coach Leonardo hardly uses Gattuso. Rino threatened – let me play or I leave.
Rino Rejects New Deal
Time To Leave, Rino?
Milan administrator Adriano Galliani said that Milan is not an hotel and Gattuso will not leave AC Milan to English sides who, according to Galliani, haven’t make any approach with Milan or Gattuso.
“Milan is not a hotel where players can get up and check out,” Galliani told the press. “Gattuso has a contract with us and he will not leave in January.”
Carlo Ancelotti is a huge admirer of Gattuso and the rapport between these men are very good. Now, Ancelotti coaches Chelsea, and the Italian press reported that ‘Carletto’ wants him. Nevertheless, Galliani denies.
“I telephoned Ancelotti, and he told me he’s not interesting in Rino, so it is impossible to go to Chelsea. Manchester City? Gattuso told me that there is no offer,” Galliani said.
The report from il Corriere dello Sport suggested Gattuso would give the Rossoneri an answer about his future after the Christmas break, and it will be decided once he’s back from injury.
“In early January he will decide what to do, proposal for renewal is there, therefore it is a decision that is up to him.”
Milan will face Sampdoria on Saturday afternoon. The Rossoneri are second in the table now, seven points from Inter, but that could be reduced if the Italian champions drop points against Juventus away.
“We have to get three points and then Juve and Inter can do what they want,” he concluded.
