Franco Baresi doesn’t think the players should be affected by the rumours about the future of the club & doesn’t want to pass judgment on Pippo.

Former Milan captain and current club ambassador was present at today’s Milan-Fujitsu press conference at Milanello and he spoke about several topics about the current reality of the Rossoneri.

“The Milan brand? We are not used to seeing Milan in this position in the table, but its strength has always been its philosophy, its culture, the organization and sense of belonging,” Baresi told the press.

“The Milan brand is always important and has an excellent image. We have to be patient and get back to winning on the pitch. The sponsors have always valued the club’s management and this makes us very happy. The state of Milan? We have won two matches in a row and this is good, both for the team and the players to find serenity and trust. As long as there is hope to reach Europe will have to give it our all.

“Europe? It’s difficult to give percentages. We still have a chance to get to Europe so we have to give everything starting from Sunday. Inzaghi? I do not want to make judgments on the coach, it has been difficult, with many injuries, the team was not able to find consistency in its performances and the results have not arrived. But we must remain calm to make decisions for the future.

“There are still plenty of games to play, then we will see what decisions will be made. The rumours about the club? The players must think just about playing better, clubs matters are unique to the club, I do not think that the players are affected by these off-field matters.

“They should be giving everything to get the most out of this season. Menez (who is out to break the record of Shevchenko)? He has done extraordinary things. He has scored many goals and has created many beautiful plays. He is a player of great quality and he has made a difference on more than one occasion.”

Baresi, the legendary #6, also commented on the partnership with Fujitsu, who will be one of the many partners of Milan in the new stadium project: “We are always very happy to accommodate our sponsors at Milanello. We are very pleased to continue this relationship with Fujitsu.

“It is essential that, in spite of what is happening, sponsors are always elite.”
