Jeremy Menez has 16 goals in Serie A but Shevchenko holds the record for most goals in a debut Milan season.

Menez joined for free in the summer of 2014 after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain came to an end and he has already scored for Milan more than almost everyone in Serie A in the past five years with 16 goals to his name so far (only Ibrahimovic scored more in the league with 28 in 2011/12).

Menez has already surpassed Filippo Inzaghi who had 10 goals in his first years and his next goal would see on equal terms with Alberto Gilardino at 17. Oliver Bierhoff scored 19 goals in his first Milan season but the record belongs to Shevchenko who netted as many as 24 goals his first year in the domestic league alone.

Jeremy has nine matches to try and break the record of Shevchenko but even if he doesn’t do it, he’s already entered the history books with what is his personal best season in terms of goals.

Shevchenko!!! What a striker. Am, tough task for menez, needs to score a goal a game for This to happen but i hope it does, will reflect positively on d ending of milan season

– Our attack has potential to be potent. – Our Midfiield needs a complete overhaul (to be funded by new owner) – Rami and Abate will probably be sold for decent money [Essien, Muntari, Bonera, Zaccardo, Armero, Pazzini, Alex, Abbiati] should all leave and free up their wage money. – Money from sales should go towards buying Darmian, Perin, Baselli and a new CB (possibly Ranocchia or Ogbonna) …..though Dede, Doria, Nastacic,Papadopoulos or Sokratis would be preferable – Mexes and Zapata should be kept as squad players with salaries slashed 1st team: El Shaa—Menez—-Cerci De Bruyne—Kondogbia—Verratti Darmian—Paletta–Ranoc/Ogbo—De Sciglio Lopez ————————————————… Read more »

youre taking the piss right. i mean you must be, how the hell will we get kondogbia, veratti (he can practically go to any team), and de bruyne (bayern munich following him), ogbonna and darmian maybe, but the rest, come on get real

First of all, this is real life, not fifa! 2. Rami and Abate need to stay, and Mexes and Zapata should go!! (what were you thinking???) 3. De Bruyne, Kndogbia, Verratti as midfield?? For god’s sake, I hope, HOPE our midfield will be: Bonaventura – De Jong – Suso (or new cdm if de jong leaves) If we are lucky we will get 2 or 3 new midfielders, depends who leaves… and I hope one of them will be good enough for first team… 4. Your list of CB-s is bad, very bad… but so is milan’s current list… I… Read more »

Wow, Gila actually scored 17 in his season debut… Quite hard to believe even though hee was amazing with Parma before.
Hope Menez manages to win capocannoniere this year so we at least can take something from the year…and a good placement based on our present position.

This is my dream team next season based on rumours and personal preference

Menez/El Shaarawy—Cavani—-Cerci/Suso
Bertolacci—De Jong/Lucas Romero —Baselli/Honda
Darmian— Eder Balanta–Rami —De Sciglio

Bonaventura is better that Baselli/Honda. Baselli cant even start every game at relegation threatened Atalanta.

Comment:Milan can’t go for those players who are in form currently..They will always go for the outcast..I would like to see Muntari, essien, armero, abiati, destro, bonera out..
First team:ses-menez-cerci/suso
Antoneli-eder-rami-de sciglo

Lucas Romero would have been awesome replacement for De Jong! Romero is a beast.

Pa ibra

thing about milan CBs is that all are almost of the same quality and age so doesnt make much difference on who starts and or who leaves. zaccardo and bonera excluded, choose any three alongside one good defender to be bought then sell the rest.
