ADRIANO GALLIANI hopes that Filippo Inzaghi can become ‘our Ferguson’ as another Arcore summit is on the cards.
Clarence Seedorf and Galliani didn’t have the best rapport while the former red and black midfielder was working as the head coach of Milan but it seems that the relationship of Pippo Inzaghi and the Diavolo Vice President is quite the opposite.
Inzaghi was yesterday at Forte dei Marmi, celebrating his 41st birthday. At the Bagno Minerva restaurant on the beach, with his mother Marina, CEO Galliani, Bonera, Abate, Abbiati and Pazzini, Pippo ordered his usual – pasta with tomato sauce.
Lopez puts pen to paper, signs four-year Milan contract
Grading Milan’s mercato so far
Next to a cake made of mini tartlets, cream and strawberries, shaped so it’d read “Auguri Filippo”, Galliani wished Pippo a happy birthday: “I hope that Inzaghi will celebrate 19 more birthdays as Milan’s coach. It would make him our Sir Alex Ferguson.” The former striker added: “I’m very happy and want to enjoy this day. I wish to myself to do better with this team.”
Inzaghi got a birthday gift in the shape of Diego Lopez but he still wants more reinforcements. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 41-year-old is expected to have a meeting with Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi on Wednesday at Arcore. They will most likely discuss the rest of the mercato. Alessio Cerci remains the number one goal of Milan but the price of Torino is still very high. In addition to Cerci, it’s believed that Inzaghi also wants to add some depth to the midfield department.
Milan also need to sell players. With the additions of Pablo Armero and Lopez, the squad consists of 29 members. Inzaghi seems to have the full support of the club and he has said on more than one occasion that they know what he wants.
we still need 2-3 players! a defensive midfield and a right wing forward and taarabt!.
Get Song from barca on loan, get cerci and taarabt is a must considering the fact that QPR are willing to reduce the asking price.
we need isco, nani , cerci dora
lol no
no nani
Yeah and talk how Armero,Alex,Menez and Lopez and better and more prosperous than Perin,Doria,Iturbe and Vrsaljko.
Joke of a management and joke of a club.
diego lopez is probably one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment, his age is a bit of a downfall but signing a keeper like this for a free transfer is world class work..he was rm’s gk for a year and a half dethroning saint iker from his kingdom..perin will probably be signed next season with the departure of abbiati and we will have diego lopez gabriel and perin as our gks
Are you Gallianis son?
imo the kind of armero, alex, menez, lopez have more experience then the later. Doria,Iturbe,Vrsalijko pricetag is overated. ik, they’re young and labelled as wonderkid. but they hasn’t prove himself. so it’s not as if milan doesn’t want to sign them, it just their price doesn’t meet agreement. beside, armero, alex, menez, lopez wasn’t a bad player at all. armero is strong & fast, alex is solid, menez have good flair, lopez was dethroning cassillas from his throne. so, this was kinda a good deal. and i agree with @nattimalta think we’ll get perin someday.
Talk about Isco all you want but it is not a realistic target.
I read a week ago that the meeting with Berlu mainly be about Pippo convincing Berlu to open up his wallet to fund the move for Cerci, in which he is confident of doing. Fingers crossed for that. People are now bringing up Song’s name, Song is awful and indisciplined, he is a failed defensive midfielder as he doesn’t know how to, he attackars more than he defends. Rather sign Dzemaili who you at least know what you’re going to get from.
Ferguson had money
dzemaili, sell abate and get darmian back…
and then: all in for ISCO!
I totally agree with dzemaili or song for midfield, taarabt back, if cecci is too expensive I’d rather we go all out for isco or any other midfielder of that calibre
Now get rid of Agazzi, Didac Vila, Albertazzi, Zaccardo, Mexes, Essien and Petagna.
And bring central midfielder and right winger in.
why Petagna his loaned out and have a bright future ahead of him.
My wishful outs and ins.
Players out: Agazzi, Zaccardo, Mexes, Abate, Essien, Albertazzi, Saponara.
Players in: Darmian, Vlaar, Dzemaili, Cerci.
I prefer granier to isco
All this talk of players yes a club of milans stature needs top players but im looking forward to seeing mastour play and develop in to a top class player
give Mastour to Torino on half season loan+ Zacardo+$11million instalment of two years to bring Cerci
Not sure what to think about this but we let Kingsly Boateng leave on a free.
Actually he was sold for about 1.5 mil € to NAC Breda, which seems as a fair price for him.
Milan added a buy-back clause in the deal
This is good to hear. It seems some of the information on transfermarkt is not accurate.
Why do you hate abate!?
beacuse he is like a fly without head
Id say we go all out for cerci and isco that are full of ambition
I’m confidence Cerci will join to Milan. I don’t know why, so difficult to pay 18 million and Milan look like prefer to go for Taarabt in 3 million. I think Milan really in difficult condition right now. For midfielder, they are also looking for a free transfer player.
we will just dream here and galliani will come read us a story at the end of the market.
Doria,,,,,, ganso,,,,,,,
Old man cannot solve such kind of modern football milan need like albertini to replace Galliani vechio out of milan
