DIEGO LOPEZ has signed the contract and he will have his medical check-up on Tuesday.

Lopez will arrive to Milan on a free transfer from Real Madrid (they will only be entitled to performance-related bonuses according to the Italian media) and yesterday personal terms were agreed during a meeting between Adriano Galliani & Lopez’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon.

Armero agent: “Pablo is enthusiastic, we finalized everything”

Last night the Spaniard, who dominated the goalkeeping spot at Real over the last year and a half since, got the contract and signed it in Madrid. The deal is for four years (until 2018) and the player will reportedly be paid €2.5 million net yearly. This is definitely an important figure but coach Filippo Inzaghi appears to be delighted with the acquisition, saying that “Lopez will improve our squad”. Galliani, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, added that “Lopez is the best goalkeeper in Europe.” GdS is reporting that with Lopez arriving, Gabriel is likely to be loaned out to a Brazilian club. Sassuolo are interested in Michael Agazzi and they are set to discuss the newly-signed goalie with Galliani.

Lopez, who will arrive to Italy on Monday and have his medical check-ups on the next day, is the 6th Spanish player to play for Milan. He’s il Diavolo’s 11th foreign goalie and the first Spanish and only the 4th keeper in Serie A history from Spain.

Benvenuto Lopez! Hope he can carry on his stellar performances from the last season and a half. I don’t like these free transfer deals with Madrid though as who knows, maybe they come to an agreement to sell one of our players to them in the future (El Shaa, De Sci)… just a thought, but I hope I’m wrong, and won’t bother thinking about that. Anyways, welcome to Milan, hope this is just another step we’re taking to improve and on our way back to the top!

Yeah comon stupid milan fans, lets forgive Galliani for signings like acerbi, constant, traore, Essien, Matri, Pazzini, and keeping Allegri more than needed.

Of course Milan can do whatever they want, with stupid fans like u all here

john

sheva just leave this blog and never return

Sheva

how many times have u been fooled or robbed in your life? Yeah exactly, you are exactly the type of fans Berlusconi wants. Blind

Dapito

How bout give ur money to milan so you can buy any player in this planet… U gave nothing but u want a lot from milan… Wake up dude…

Aham

Sheva’s delusion is to use a Milan legend’s name as a pseudonym and believe it gives him the right to insult true Milanisti.

Now get rid of Agazzi, Didac Vila, Albertazzi, Zaccardo, Mexes, Essien and Petagna.

I won’t lie,i am very happy with this signing. What bothers me is that Milan are just pouncing on free transfers. Milan would never be able to acquire Lopez by purchasing with cash. And also, all Milans signing are rejects from other teams. Not good at all.

Al-amin

Good addition no doubt.

thankz Galliani 4 dis one cos i can’t afford 2 see Abbiati act more of those movies he does act lik d one of Roma.let him go & rest.Taraabt? He’s better dan d immaginary cerci cos i don’t see much of what he plays & his value is not worth it & he may flop on d biggest stage while our money swims d ocean of no return.

I don’t have a problem with signing rejects from other clubs as long as they do well for us. It’s called opportunism.Arjen Robben and Wesley Snejder were also Real Madrid’s rejects but they both went to CL final the year after they got sold to Bayern and Inter respectively, and both played a crucial role to their teams’ successful run. So I’m happy with this signing. This is actually a dream come true, and a little bit of a miracle provided the way that things turned out for Lopez in Madrid.

Some comments just makes u laugh, so once a play is free or is a reject, it means he is not gud? Pogba and pirlo(rejected) to juventus were totally free nt even add ons, Ibrahim was rejected by barca, tell me these players are not good. Cassilas is a club hero that’s y he is staying and Diego has to leave and d reason we got him free is bcos of d relationship btw milan(Galliani) and madrid(Perez). Objective opinions and nt jst closed minded blabs are more appreciated…if u haven’t, u need to grow up and base ur comments on… Read more »

After Ochoa’s performances at this summer’s world cup, I was tearing my hair out that we missed the opportunity to sign him – FOR FREE.
Zio Fester, my wife thanks you for signing Diego Lopez as I was at risk of being as bald as you are.
Complimenti, Signor Galliani!

We still missed on at least a couple of great free options : Ochoa for GK (instead of Agazzi) and Musacchio who is now wanter for 21M by Tottenham (instead of Alex).
