Emanuelson: “Milan played with the right spirit against Torino”

URBY EMANUELSON believes Milan deserved more against Torino while Adil Rami is happy to have scored.

Milan no longer have a 100% winning rate in Serie A under Clarence Seedorf as they drew Torino at the San Siro last night with Adil Rami equalizing in the 49′ minute after Ciro Immobile scored the first of the night in the 17′ minute of the 1st half.

Torino’s gameplan was to limit Milan’s space and counter attack and it worked for them well as Milan struggled to get good scoring chances. However, Urby Emanuelson feels that il Diavolo are improving and getting better from game to game.

Seedorf: “I saw a team on the rise, we can’t make miracles”
Highlights: Milan 1-1 Torino

“Every game gets better. I still have to improve but I’m happy with my performance,” Emanuelson said after the match. “The team did well and we just needed that second goal and it’s a shame as we played with the right spirit. The coach asks me to run hard to help the players in front of me: Kakà, Honda, Robinho, when we have the ball, I have to push forward.

“We’ve been with the coach for a couple of weeks now and we have to keep on going as we’re doing. (Torino winger Alessio) Cerci is a good player, very fast and it was a tough game for both me and Mattia De Sciglio as we had to help the centre backs. Rami is a good player and he’s getting better every match. He did well and scored as well. We have a tough game next week as Napoli are a great team and we’ll have to work hard this week and we hope to put in a good performance.”

“The goal was great for me as it’s been 4 or 5 months that I haven’t been playing. It was a complicated situation for me mentally and it wasn’t easy. I’m lucky as I have a strong character and I’m happy I scored,” Adil Rami told to Milan Channel right after the final whistle of the game. “I’ve known Mexes for a long time and that’s why I looked for him to celebrate.

“The formation (4-2-3-1) is complicated for the defenders and we need to work to improve as it’s a new system. I like taking free kicks. When Ricardo Kaka took one, I wanted to take it but he’s a great player and I couldn’t not let him take it.”

Rami and Zapata will be a great combination in the future

kwabena Adu

I want to see Abate and De Sciglio playing at the flanks,I don’t really trust players like Emmanuelson…He is too unpredictable.Today he is good and the next day he is wack…I hope Seedorf starts playing the right players.
Bonera,Urby and Robinho should be benched.Boneror cost us the game yesterday.

De sciglio is a right full back,he is definately better than abate there, urby is not that bad as fans complain about him,he has good crosses n runs..de sciglio is not a left footer tho he manage to play on the left flank but he is better on the right flank,I think urby is the best we have right now for the left flank until we buy another LB.forza milan

Am tired of arguing who’s better playing the fullback position but I’ll tell you this De sciglio lacks the athleticism that Abate and Urby has to push forward.De sciglio isn’t a slow a player and his a good crosser but he lacks the dynamic fluency Abate and Urby posses.
