Honda to reduce salary to facilitate Milan move?

32

KEISUKE HONDA is reportedly willing to cut his agreed Milan wages in order to bridge the gap between Milan and CSKA.

Today Milan and the Milanisti will learn whether Keisuke Honda will be joining the Rossoneri this summer or in the January mercato. Honda’s agent/brother Hiro will meet with CSKA Moscow to make the final attempt to convince them to sell.

Yesterday’s meeting proved successful as the gaps between Milan and the Russian club have been reduced but there are still differences between the sides and it appears that the player himself could help out in making the gap disappear.

According to il Corriere dello Sport, Honda is willing to reduce his agreed Rossoneri wages in order to join the club now. The player agreed a €2.5 million per season wages with Milan but could decide to give up on some of his salary in order to bridge the difference which is apparently €1 million – Milan and Honda’s sponsors are offering €4m, CSKA want €5 million.

“We’ll meet CSKA’s director of sport Babaev today to talk about the move. All I can say is that the offer of Milan is very very good. If the deal can be concluded today? I don’t know, we’re trying to convince CSKA because on our part the deal is complete,” Honda’s brother/agent Hiro told Tuttomercatoweb.com today. “The move is not a question of money for Honda, but of prestige. Milan, Real Madrid and others are clubs of a great value, and it’s a big step forward in Honda’s career.

“The contract length? Four years, five years, who knows… When CSKA give us the ok, we’ll travel to Milan to close the deal. We’re waiting for the meeting today.” Milannews.it reports Milan contacted CSKA this morning and signs look positive.

Gabriel; Abate-Zapata-Mexès-Constant; Montolivo-De Jong-Boateng; Honda; Balotelli-El Shaarawy

I wonder if we, the fan, really think he’s suitable to our Milan or we’re just in the hungry for some signings ?

Raunisto

Atleast we can compete for something and not putting pressure to Saponara in AM ,
I hate Alegri the way he use Boateng in that position.

I heard Anzi Wants El92, is that true?

Daniel

Pls loan walace and lucas piazon from chelsea in option to buy pls.

RedNBlack

You know your soccer, I have not heard anyone talking about Piazon, I saw him twice playing at Chelsea and I saw Kaka and Iniesta in that boy. He can easily become one of the greats if given proper guidance. We have Saponara we can’t afford another young player in that position but i would be happy if he can come.

Daniel

I want piazon and tasci instead astori

Nigeria

I want asure you my coleques (Milan Fans) that Honda is great no even on the pitch but becouse of his generousity, dedication and love that he is showing to us. Even though, he is initially milanisti right from his early age. Keisuki Honda you are welcome to the great and most successful family in the world of football. We are looking forward in seing you in RED and BLACK jersey in this summer.

Honda 22

Venni Vetti Vecci"

Honda will take Ronaldo Dellima’s number 99″..
Have you guys seen the clips of Suzuki lately? That guy is good and way better than Honda..
Traore will be the highest go scorer in this coming season..:'(

The sooner the deal is made official the better.
According to reports – I think I read it from Sky Sport Italia – Galliani is looking to bringing him to Italy this wednesday. I’m looking forward to seeing us play tonight.
With the signing of Honda and Saponara, we finally have two real trequartistas, so we can finally stop seeing Boa and Urby playing in that role (even though we’ll see them play in that role tonight). And maybe we can see Boa play in midfield…Allegri said something about it in his pre-match interview.

Ted

Agree with Piazon and he would find space here as Honda can play on left side in midfield of three and Piazon behind strikers.

Great to hear about Honda being so loyal and humble, he’s a great player and will be a great acquisition!

My biggest concern is still formation, 4-3-1-2 is washed up, even if Milan bring stars to club i will still be sceptical about it

4-2-3-1!

nizam

Honda willing to reduce his wage to € 1 million thats way less than t
raore’s € 1.2 million wage and honda is even better player than traore, just sell him his just a dead weight

Milanista121

I agree about selling Traoré but you misunderstood this article, the difference between our offer and what CSKA wants is 1 million. It’s not the sum Honda is willing to reduce his wages to.

The CEO of AC Milan Adriano Galliani and Mino Raiola, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com director Michele Criscitiello, are having a lunch at the Milan famous restaurant, Giannino.

No doubt it’s market discussion but about who?? fingers crossed

Milanista121

I’m trying to figure out a great centre back that he is representing, but can not think of anyone…
The only centreback that comes to mind is Micah Richards, and I’m not even sure that he is represented by Mino, or if his game is suitable to Serie A.

Jibola

Might not necessarily be Riola’s player as he brokers deal for clubs as well like Robinho to Milan and Nedved to Juve.

Milanista121

Very true!

Scoga Montana

Well for me i think i like the formation but if we can change to 4-2-3-1 that will be much better
Abbiati
Abate Zapata Mexes Constant
De Jong Montolivo
Honda Saponara El Shaarawy
Balotelli
This could the perfect formation

Jibola

Galliani is very busy on the market today. Our CEO is currently having another lunch meeting with agents and managers.

Present are Ariedo Braida,Guisepe Rice, Parisi, Damiani and ds of Bari Angelozzi, with whom there may be some of market discussions.

Are you still a doubting Thomas? wait till August.

Alessandro

Come on, bring this player TODAY!!!!!!!

Ac milan

CSKA Moscow director Roman Babaev has insisted that Keisuke Honda will not be joining Milan.

The Japan international has been constantly linked with a move to the Rossoneri during this transfer window, with reports on Monday claiming that the midfielder will sign for the San Siro side in a deal worth €4m.

The Russian team’s board member though, has rubbished those rumours.

“Honda to Milan? No, it’s not true,” he briefly told championat.com.

MilanFan

He’s bluffing

ChrisMilan

I just love it when we buy Milanistas. It’s like a huge, extra bonus. It’s as if we can see a bit of ourselves in them and want them to succeed. I’d be happy to earn coffee-money in order to play for Milan. Makes me more excited seeing longtime-Rossonerifans joining. Almost all of our signings so far are Milanistas, I just realized while typing hahaha. Balotelli, Saponara, Poli and Salamon (didn’t give a straight answer, however, he did say Nesta was his idol and joining Milan is a dream come true). I’m aware of his fresh, but temporary adventure in… Read more »

… and if this is true about Honda willing to cut his suppose salary then the respect for him is even greater. Guess that Milan tattoo means something on his neck!

Bash

I hope he can adapt to the italian football. Welcome in advance Honda.

EllO

Its nice from Honda that he would let to reduce his own pay ,but would be nice too if Ac Milan would let him have what they have offered to him

STALLION

SHOCKING…. THE move has collapse… CSKA refuses as HONDA’s replacement injured..WTF
