MATHIEU FLAMINI will hold talks with the club next week regarding a new, much less lucrative deal.
Flamini joined Milan in 2008 from Arsenal on a Bosman transfer and has never replicated the good form that made him a star player for Arsene Wenger’s side, but he’s set to stay for a couple of more years.
Mathieu signed a four-year deal when he joined the Rossoneri, worth €4.5 million a season. This made him the second highest paid player at Milan last season, 2nd only to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who earns €9m.
Report: Milan challenge Juventus for Verratti
Report: Acerbi close to Milan move
According to il Corriere dello Sport, Flamini will have a meeting with Milan’s Adriano Galliani at some point next week to discuss a two-year contract renewal worth around €1.8 million a year. Flamini, 28-year-old, has played 100 games for Milan since joining them in all competitions, scoring four goals in the process.
Flamini was out injured for the most of the 2011/2012 season and the Frenchman played just 2 games, but scored a goal in the final game against Novara. This can be the last contract talks Milan do this year.

And U r talking about Chelsea…Just wanna say HaHaHa
They’ve just won a Cl
So you are not an Italian hahaha I thought as much(Wanna bee)
Hey hey hey ouse. Its normal that every team face up and down in world of football and its normal that power shift. notting last forever here. Serie a was once the best team in the world. At a point it moved to spain and then england. The Italian economy is not helping matters now. But nonetheless. Every big team face trophyless drought at one point or the other. e.g before Barcelona won the Ucl in 2006, they went through close to 12yrs without winning it and 10yrs without getting to the final. Man u. close to 10yrs. Real madrid… Read more »

lol they got banned? LMFAO
About time… this was waiting to happen Thank you Rossoneri Blog!… this will serve as a great example!
i dont really coment on this blog but i am a regular reader but it’s completely unacceptable and outlandish to see the way people coment. A typical example is ‘Macho’, how could you be abusing somebody country in that manner. All your coments are off topics and inmature which is totaly wrong. You are not to critize or condem other people opinion. Every has uniform rights here. And finaly if you are audacious enough about your Grammar, come to Nigeria and write Jamb exam and let see your score in English. Mind the way you talk to people Macho man.
I just hope and pray milan buy quality player this summer.. Yaya toure and Balotelli is my dream.
@sahir. Dont feel humilated. We are all milanist and we are free to express our minds inrespective of our countries. So dont limit your love for your beloved club because of ordinary kid like ‘Macho’. Forza milano. FORZA SAHIR. Rossoneri for life.
@ Macho anymore childish coment from you. You are gone for life on this blog. Dare me if you can.
So back to topic then. In ten days or so we will have a couple of more signings.
Italy has 3 CL titles in 11 years and 4 second places. Germany have 1 CL title and 3 second places. And Germany are in lead. This is not right. And Italians don’t like EL. But we have 6 second places and 9 trophies while Germany has 8 second places and 6 trophies. And they say Germany are better. Ridicules. I don’t care if they manage the different stages in the competitions, they are still losers.
It’s all about money, Italy is not interesting anymore, not enough money for mr. Platini and the gang… Football is dying
Guys let’s talk football and quit with all the unecessary insults and name calling!! Sahin or Ganso? Who is better for Milan? Ibra or Drogba? Who is a big game player and who is not? I would prefer Milan sign Nuri Sahin over Ganso. 1. Sahin is a cheaper buy,not always injured. 2. Has proven European success with Dortmund and Real Madrid. 3. Sahin Can also play behind the strikers. great passes! 1. Ganso is a bigger risks 2. Too injury prone, 3. no european experience, 4. Ganso is overpriced and overrated! Drogba like Shevachenko and Inzaghi are big game… Read more »
Ganso is definitely better than sahin although i would be happy with any of them. but it seems that ganso is coming and i am sure he will be a star player.
First of all Sahin has not proved him self in Real Madrid, he has barely played. Second Ibra is better then all of them. And as Maldini said. You want Ibra out then prepare to be deafeted. Selling Ibra will not get you new players. Because that money will go to Barcelona. You need to understand how the business works. Our revenue is not good thats why Berlu has been pumping in money the past years. After 2015 when the new stadium will be built we can change that.
Heeeeeey ouse g8 news. Milan is swapping Ganso for Robinho according to football italia. I guess we are getting there. I hope this com tru and with strootman with two cb. Europe here we come.
I hear the new goalkeepers agent is Raiola too.
@ sammy talk to clubs like udenise, lazio, roma to buckle up in europa league. They all want to come to ucl but cant even compete in europa league. Udenise third spot is juust a waste for Italy. Inter could have qualified instead.
I meant gabriel the brazilian keeper.
@ nick i think anyone of them will do and i can see the ambition in the club management this time around since they av also seen that we need quality in our midfield but remember that ganso will may come with a player exchange deal with us adding at most 3m. May be when he comes to Milan, Allegri will make him a better player. Nonetheless if we get Sahin instead, its all good and a step foward for a team that has been shying away from signing quality players. As for Ibra- Drogba. Ibra is our player and… Read more »
@ladon…good point. It is a good step for the club if one of them arrives, but I’m just a bit concerned about the obvious risks with Ganso at a possibly higher price tag compared to Sahin. Since we are rebuilding the squad with a limited budget, it would be wise to invest in the right players. As for Ibra, yes you are right he is our player and we should celebrate him, but I’m just not convinced that he can be relied on in big games that really matter! We need a player of such calibre like Sheva, Kaka, Inzaghi, Drogba,… Read more »
If all rumour about transfer is true, we become true candidate in UCL.
DF : Acerbi
MF : Strootman
AM : Ganso
By the way, Torino is promoted to serie A. Maybe Ogbonna price will rise. And I happy to see Verdi, Oduamandi and Darmian at Seri A.
Forza Milan..
i would rather we get lucas moura instead of ganso.
I think he brings more speed and power then ganso, and also i’am affraid ganso’s legs will snap off if he get by a de jong type of player
lucas costs around 40 million hes too expensive. Ganso is a world class player he will do very well.
@John…great point..Lucas Moura would make a good trequartista because of his speed, passing and technical abilities.
Although he is often used as a 2nd striker at Sao Paolo, he would be a good fit for a trequartista should any team he goes to take that risk and change his position!
If Milan have the money Lucas Moura would be a better investment than Ganso or Sahin!!
one LB,Acerbi and Astori/Vertonghen/Ogbonna.
Ganso/Sahin or both(fingers crossed).
If Ibra leaves some quality striker and we are set
Dont be daft! If Ibra leaves, what do you think will happen to the money that Milan get from selling him? Do you think we can reinvest them in a new striker?? NO!!!!! they will go straight to Barcelona!!! Wake up and stop talking crap!! By the way! did you like the 34 goals he scored this season??
i hope that we can get Ganso and then negotiate a loan deal for Sahin with an option to buy, that would be great and it would solve all our midfield problems.
If anyone knows can you tell me about this Brazilian keeper we signed Gabriel,is he any good.
40m on lucas???? just one player when we need to buy at least 4 or 5 more. lets be considerate. we dont have that kind of money. either of Ganso, Sahin would be fine and o believe we have not really seen the best of Ibra. with a solid passer like Monty, Ganso/Sahin Ibra and Pato will score goalsssss
MvB–> Strootman
Seedorf–>GansoMontolivo
Urby–>LB and in Sahin
Muntari/Aquilani–>Traore
Nesta–>Acerbi
Bonera+Mesbah–>New CB(could wait till winter)
Inzaghi&Maxi–>New ST or promote youth
Roma–>Gabriel
Zambrotta–>De Sciglio
Ganso and Sahin are completely different kind of players. Ganso is trequrista while Sahin is more reqista.
If possible I’d take both here in a heartbeat.
Hahahahaha…..Juventus are on the brink of LOSING the Coppa italia. It’s doesn’t get any better than that….
One come in a swap for Robinho while the other a loan deal.
Read more »
Gabriel is a very good gk with a lot of future, I followed him on colombia’s sub 20 world cup, and most of the goals conceded were because of defence fault, he only had 1 error at the final, but he’s only 19 and with time here at milan I think he can become the best gk one day
really all we need is a :
cm: strootman and sahin
atk:ganso or erikson
cb:astori or albiol or acrebi
gk: which we got
stss: to replace inzaghi/robhino/maxi and tht is muriel and we should be set if we give didac a real chance at lb…
a total of 6 more players
some of these players like sahin can come on loan with the option to buy and assured players like muriel and erikson can come and we pay for them over a period
exhcange Robinho for Ganso, keep Muntari, get Acerbi, Strootman and LB (my dream would be Jordi Alba but its unrealistic probably :( ) and i think we are fine…
Also Drogba wouldnt be bad for free what do you think? I dont count him into that but if its that possibility here to get player like him for free it would be nice imo
IF we ever want to win CL again, we dont only have to get RID of players like flamini, but we have to STOP signing them. Taiwo,Mesbah,Aquilani,Lopez,Flamini,Traore etc etc What we need is; A goalkeeper (for now and the future) A QUALITY leftback (dont think urby will do good there) And the MOST important position, Attacking midfielder, because if we dont sign one allegri will countinue playing 4312 and he will try from antonini to maxi lopez in trequartista role. We REALLY need a playmaker, and we should be cheap about that. I honestly beleive Galliani and Berlusconi have lost… Read more »
Berlusconi was covering loss every year boy
We need Strootman and GANSO!!!
despite of all.. we should pray for Milan win CL next season..
If the signings of Ganso, Sahin, Strootman, Acerbi, and Balo/Tevez/Muriel happen, will people keep criticizing Galliani and Berlusconi?
Wow the blog is back! what happened? So here is what I’ve heard so far in the upcoming mercato: – Acerbi is very very close to signing with Milan – Galliani have had meetings with Strootmans representatives – Galliani have met with Sahins’ agent yesterday – Milan is is pole position in signing Ogbona, BUT Inter have made bid for him as well – they want to exchange Coutinho and 50% of Andrea Ranocchia. – Santos wants to loan Robinho with option of buying in a year Regarding Thiago Silva: – Milan will do everything possible and impossible to keep… Read more »
good news. I hope we end up signing Ganso he is a class player, any news on him?
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!
