GOOD NEWS for Milan, and Italian teams, as now they will be able to sign another non-EU player.
The “Secondo extracomunitario” or the second non-EU slot has been approved this afternoon at the Lega Calcio and the Italian teams will be able to sign two players who don’t hold a European passport again.
This decision has a big effect of the transfer market of the Italians: Napoli want Arturo Vidal, Inter are after Carlos Tevez, Juventus on Michel Bastos and Danilo and the Rossoneri are interested in Ganso & Danilo.

One slot is already used by Milan following the signing of the Nigerian Taye Taiwo on Bosman transfer. It would not be a surprise if Milan will not sign any non-EU player this summer, but wait until January.

I agree that this is what I was thinking when I saw the headline. Hopefully Taiwo can get that passport and a double purchase of Ganso and Danilo will go through. Personally I say save those Slots. Get Lamela who already has an italian passport and is 1/6th the price of ganso.
