PAOLO MALDINI says Zlatan and Marco are very similar.
There has been a lot of talk about Zlatan Ibrahimovic being the new Marco Van Basten for Milan – there is a resemblance in their qualities – and the Dutch legend himself admitted they’re a bit the same.
Paolo Maldini, who played with Van Basten from 1987 to 1995 and played against Ibrahimovic and watched him with the Rossoneri shirt, sees the similarities between the two great forwards.

“Ibra like Marco? No, it is no an exaggeration,” Maldini told Il Giornale. “At the technical level they are equal; Marco Van Basten was a more complete striker while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is more powerful.”
Van Basten scored 90 goals in 147 league appearances for Milan; Ibra 14 in 28 in one season.

Imo Marco was the greatest and better than Ibra. As he won Golden Ball award 3 times, won the Champions League, didnt faded away in big matches and most of them all, he is remembered as a legend of Milan!
Marco van Basten him self talkes about Ibra, who are you to question that. Besides, Ibra has only played for one season with the Rossenoris and he brought back the lo Scudetto with him that is a great start of his time at AC Milan. Ibra is a legend in Milano.

Van Basten was a much better finisher who always rise to the occasion. Ibra has long way to go before he can be compared to Van Basten. Hell, Ibra has to reach up to Sheva and Gullit level first!

Van Basten is the most complete & gifted centre forward in football history & Im not even a Milan fan, Im a Celic fan & live in Scotland… but Marco was the greatest, no doubt.
