Stefano Pioli is planning to do some rotation against Cagliari tomorrow.

After the 1-0 win against Hellas Verona, Milan look to bag another win tomorrow and stay close to league leaders Inter, when they face Cagliari at Unipol Domus (18:30 CET / Italy time kickoff).

With Rade Krunić injured and many games coming up next, Pioli is planning some changes in the starting XI.

As reported by Milannews.it, Mike Maignan will not be part of the squad (should return against Lazio), and therefore Marco Sportiello will play from the start. Davide Calabria returned to training today but Alessandro Florenzi should play with Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernández.

In midfield, Yacine Adli should get his first start of the season, in the role of Krunić. He will be flanked by summer signings Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders. In attack, Rafael Leão and Olivier Giroud are expected to rest, with Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor and Christian Pulisic starting.

Luka Jović will not be on the bench as he remains in Milanello to improve his physical condition.

Probable XI vs Cagliari (Milannews.it): Marco Sportiello; Alessandro Florenzi, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernández; Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Yacine Adli, Tijjani Reijnders; Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor, Christian Pulisic.

I wonder if we will be able to keep hold of Camarda.
Fingers crossed.
But, going forward, if we are to help the youth players transition to the first team – I fear Pioli is not the right manager for that.
Perhaps de Zerbi might be tempted with a proper project.

Dindudre

Pioli is definitely not the right manager for that project.
