Junior Messias picked up an injury in the friendly and will sit out against Juventus and Barcelona.
Messias played from the start in the pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in Pasadena, but had to leave the pitch in the 32′ minute due to an injury. He was replaced by Luka Romero who ended up scoring and having a good performance.
As reported by Luca Bianchin of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 32-year-old right winger is complaining of problem in the rectus femoris of his left thigh.
The player is expected to therefore miss the next USA friendlies against Juventus and Barcelona and his situation, Bianchin claims, will only be re-evaluated when the team reports to Italy.
