Stefano Pioli has made it clear that some players are not in his plans and he will not take them to the USA.

Milan are set to depart for the United States this week for three friendly matches against Real Madrid (July 23) and Juventus (July 23) in Los Angeles, and against Barcelona (August 1) in Las Vegas.

However, some players from the squad of Pioli will not take part in the tour, as they are out of the technical project of the coach and are on the market.

As reported by Milannews.it’s Pietro Mazzara and by Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano, it’s already known that the players who are out of the tour are Mattia Caldara, who last season played on loan at Spezia and still has a contract for another year, Fodé Ballo-Touré, who is on the market and is wanted by Bologna and Nice, Marko Lazetić, who failed to impress on loan at Rheindorf Altach, and Ante Rebić & Divock Origi, who under-performed heavily last season and were very disappointing.

More decisions and exclusions could be made after Milan’s friendly match against Lumezzane tomorrow. After signing 5 players this summer, Milan want to make some sales.

I think it is the right decision. Their performance last season was below expectations and it affected the team overall standing. Many players contributed close to nothing last season and gradually all are been replaced. Though don’t really know what happened to Rebic. He used to be reliable.
