Mike Maignan has finally returned to full training and should be back on Sunday, while others return as well.

Milan fans have been waiting for this moment for over 5 months, and finally the moment is here: Mike Maignan is fit again.

The goalkeeper has been struggling with a calf injury for practically the entire season, and his comeback got postponed several times.

However, after working partially with the group yesterday, today Maignan did the entire training session with the squad. The same is true also for Alessandro Florenzi, who underwent surgery back in September and is finally back to working with his teammates at Milanello.

Stefano Pioli hopes to have both players available already for Atalanta on Sunday, but no unneeded risks will be taken as Milan are aware that both players have been out of action for quite some time. Therefore there’s caution; however, it’s clear that after welcoming back Zlatan Ibrahimović, Pioli will soon also be able to count on his starting goalkeeper and on the veteran Florenzi.

Milan are also waiting for the returns of Ismael Bennacer and Davide Calabria, both struggling with muscular injuries. The two are still doing personalized work and the hope is to have them on March 4 when Milan take on Fiorentina. In the meantime, Pioli will have to do without the two.

After some very difficult moments this season also in terms of injuries, the treatment table is getting increasingly emptier, and this is excellent news for Milan who fight for a Top 4 finish.
