Theo Hernández has admitted he is now picking himself up after a difficult period and discussed Ibra’s return.
After 7 games without a win in all competitions, Milan finally got three points last night as they beat Torino.
The only goal of the game came from the head of Olivier Giroud thanks to a cross from Theo Hernández who was deployed in a more advanced role than usual in Stefano Pioli’s new 3-4-2-1.
“These are three very important points, because it’s true that we did not play well in the last few games, but I think from now on we will step up,” Theo told DAZN at the end of the game at Stadio San Siro. “I think when you lose that many games, it is all about the mentality. We are strong, united, the fans are behind us too and we can go forward with that.”
On Giroud: “He missed scoring and I’m happy with him.”
On the return of Ibra: “It’s true that Ibra always wants more and he is like a player-manager for us, so this victory is also thanks to him.”
On the game against Tottenham: “We want to win. We know it is a difficult game, but we must work well over the next few days to take on Tottenham at 100 per cent.”
On his form: “It’s true that I was mentally low in terms of morale after the World Cup, but I think that I am getting back now.”
