Milan returned to training yesterday at Milanello after a long break, and next Sunday they head to Dubai.
The last match the Rossoneri played took place on November 13, and the next time they step on the pitch for a Serie A game is January 4 (against Salernitana).
Yesterday, after a long vacation, the players who have not been involved in the World Cup, returned to training at Milanello as Milan began their preparation for the second part of the season.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, goalkeeper Mike Maignan, defender Davide Calabria and winger Alexis Saelemaekers did not work with the rest of the squad, as they are still injured. However, all three are close to returning after being out with an injury for quite a while.
Next Sunday (December 11), Milan will head to Dubai for a training camp, and coach Stefano Pioli – according to il Corriere dello Sport – will find Simon Kjær and Charles De Ketelaere there, as the two have been eliminated from the World Cup in the Group Stage following extremely disappointing showings from Denmark and Belgium respectively. Theo Hernández, Olivier Giroud, Sergiño Dest, Fodé Ballo-Touré and Rafael Leão are still in the competition with their national teams.
Milan will play several friendly matches in the coming months: on December 8 vs Lumezzane, on December 13 against Arsenal, on December 16 against Liverpool and on December 30 vs PSV.
cancel Bakayoko loan, get Dalot either now or in summer. if now, cancel Dest as well. Dalot, Calabria, Theo and Florenzi are more than enough for fullbacks. CBs are already stacked, tbh I would loan Thiaw with Adli in Januray to some Serie A side for experience. Sportiello and hopefully Cragno will come as subs to Maignan, would help out the lack of Italians in the team. central midfield has Tonali, Bennacer, Pobega, Vranckx, so only 1 player needs to be added. If Jorginho doesn’t ask for too much of salary go for him, if not maybe Fratessi?! CAM will… Read more »
Cancel Dest? Really! Did you watch the world cup at all?
We’ll see next half of the season. 2 games don’t mean that much. even more not in our team, Dalot loves Milan and works perfectly on both flanks. his contract is out in 6 months which makes it even more perfect. unlike 20M fee for Dest.
and how much do you think ManU will ask for Dalot?
his contract ends in 6 months… we can take him for way less than 20M and he is in way better shape right now and can play both flanks. we can also sign an agreement that says that after his contract with Man Untd he will join us for free, it’s an actual thing in football…
Jorginho? He ain’t coming. We can’t afford him even if he would leave the EPL. He may retire in Italy though. Dest has potential. Good #2 RB.
he has 6 months left and we need quality n3 in midfield. plus he’s italian, which we need to have 8 to register 26 players and not 22 like this year.
Calabria, Florenzi, Gabbia, Tonali, Sportiello, Pobega, Colombo. we need 1 more next season, maybe 2 if we want Colombo to play 1 more year in Serie A.
