Aster Vranckx spoke to the press after ‘assisting’ the winner against the Viola.

Vranckx came off the bench in the 75th minute this evening to replace the disappointing Rade Krunić and he ended up winning the game for Milan as his 92nd minute cross hit Nikola Milenković and went to the back of the net to give a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

The 20-year-old Belgian has not had many opportunities to show his quality this season but in the few games he’s played he always came off the bench well.

“I’m very happy. I think it was a long time that we were having difficulties in the game but finally we scored the goal and I’m very happy for the team,” Aster told MilanTV.

On how it is going at Milanello: “Very good. I think I’ve been training a lot, learning a lot and I just want to learn more and keep going.”

On the World Cup break: “First I will take a little bit of vacation but I will keep running and stuff to not lose shape and to come stronger after the break.”

On Pioli: “I think I’ve just been doing well in training, I think he saw it as well and he’s just happy with me. So I just have to keep going.”
