Fikayo Tomori felt Milan deserved the three points against Fiorentina, and discussed his goal-line clearance.
Milan got a very important win tonight as they beat the Viola 2-1 at San Siro thanks to a 2nd minute Rafael Leão goal and a 92nd minute Nikola Milenković own goal.
The Rossoneri did not play well, especially in the first half, and nearly lost the match in the 89′ minute but Jonathan Ikoné’s shot found a strong Tomori on the goal-line.
“It was important to win after the draw in Cremona,” Tomori told DAZN. “It was a difficult match, we are happy to have won before the break. Now we have to rest and then we’ll think about the new year.”
On his goal line clearance: “It was instinct. We deserved to win, we kept playing and we are happy with the three points.”
On not being called up to the World Cup: “There is disappointment of course, the World Cup is a dream for everyone. I have to keep working to raise my level and to return to the national team. I’m disappointed, the only thing I can do is to keep playing like today.”
On the chase of Napoli: “We never give up. We are happy with today’s three points. The league is still long, Napoli is doing very well. We only have to think about us.”
