Davide Calabria and Simon Kjær both suffered hamstring injuries but with different serveries.

Milan suffered 3 injuries in their 3-1 win over Empoli on Saturday, and after yesterday it was revealed that Alexis Saelemaekers suffered an MCL injury, today the conditions of Davide Calabria and Simon Kjær became known.

The two players had tests today to understand what kind of injury they have.

As reported by Sky Italia and Milannews.it, Calabria has suffered a proximal myotendinous injury to his right hamstring. This should keep him out for roughly 3 months, which means he will return to action only in 2023. This is a huge blow for Pioli who loses his Captain and right-back.

Kjær meanwhile has suffered a low-grade injury to his right hamstring, keeping him out of action for around 15 days. As for the other injuries, Junior Messias and Theo Hernández had a personalized training session today and they will not be available for the game against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Divock Origi has returned to full training and will be there with the squad at Stamford Bridge.

with all our right wingers out. This is a good time to give Chaka Traore game time in the first team against smaller teams

A perfect time to start CDK or Rebic on the right side

as much i’d love to see it as well. It will not solve the RB problem. Pioli has a few options, The obvious one is Dest replacing calabria. I mean isnt that what he was brought for? Calabria backup.
We shall see what Pioli does. Kalulu can obviously play RB as well, but then who would play CB with tomori. (at least for the UCL) .

Calm down

That Pioli didn’t help our injury matters throwing all the players from Int duties into the starting lineup and the half fit ones (Calabria Kjaer who are injury prones as well) with fresher players who actually need minutes and been practicing with him at Milanello all week waiting on the bench. So ironic. Hope he learns. Get well soon guys

I think he felt the empoli game was a must-win and did not want to risk the result. It kind of was a must-win given our loss to Napoli, the upcoming games and the current standings.
However, I also feel that any of the new guys (Dest, Thiaw or even Gabbia) would’ve been good enough

A perfect time for Dest to show what he’s really made of. The kid had Bayern and Barcelona fighting for him not long ago. Time to realize his potential.
