Fikayo Tomori spoke to MilanTV after scoring in the 6-1 friendly win over Vicenza today.
The pre-season of Milan is over and they finished it with an easy win over Serie C’s Vicenza, scoring 6 goals after finding themselves behind after just 20 seconds.
One of the scorers was Fik Tomori, who lost a header on the Vicenza goal, but won one to score against them.
“We started poorly but we came back strong after that. We’re excited about our first league match, hopefully we can start the season well,” the English center back told MilanTV after the game.
On the goal: “We’ve worked on corner kicks and free kicks, so I’m happy to have scored. That’s certainly something I wanted to improve upon for this season. I’m delighted with my goal and with the win.”

On missing the clean sheet: “We know we’re not perfect; when there are mistakes, we can improve. As I said, we started the game poorly but that something we can improve upon, as can I.”
On the celebration with Leão: “It’s just an American dance [laughs]. I saw that Rafa did it and so we did it together.”
On the atmosphere in the dressing room: “I’ve been with the team for almost 2 years; we’re a family. When we win, there’s obviously more enthusiasm in the dressing room. We’re all delighted with the result.”
